- Installing Smiley Headlights + HID Kit On The e30
Here I teach you step by step how to install new headlights and HID kit on my e30. This is my first video so give me a break on it haha! I plan on making videos about my slow and steady e30 build! This is the first of many videos coming out so stay tuned !
1990 BMW E30 325is
Stock M20 2.5L Inline 6
3.73 Lsd
Stainless steel brake lines all around
Full 5 lug swap
Front:1996 + BMW e36M3 front Bilstein struts, spindles, control arms, and brakes
Rear: Bmw e36 318ti rear trailing arms
Wheels: 16x8 one piece Style 5s
Eibach lowering springs

Did you have a hard time aligning the low beams? I just installed smoked DEPOs on my E30 and the right side beam pattern is scattered and much hire than left side. Turned the adjustment knobs in attempt to lower it but nothing is working.

Nice video. Next time use heat shrink butt connectors to prevent corrosion from the weather.
I did end up coming back to shorten the wiring later on and put heat shrink on all the connectors. Thanks for looking out though!
Great vid! I'm in the midst of doing the exact same install but the only part where i'm not clear is how you connect the black & yellow wires to the back of the headlight. I know those get pigtailed to the stock harness but how are they connected to the headlight. Any advice is appreciated. thanks!
Javier Nacarino How did the install go ? Its a little different depending on if you install an HID kit or not.
@@EricNomads7 I actually did not cut my stock wiring. I took out the spade connectors from the little grommet and connected them directly onto my stock plug.
You may have said this in the video but I don't have audio available at the moment. What are the Hid Specs? 6000k? sorry for the inconvenience, great video.
G Javobs Actually I don't think I mention it in the video, sorry about that. Yes I'm using a 6000k bulbs.

FYI not a good idea to use HID bulbs in halogen projector housings. Will burn them up quick because of the added heat. The correct way to do this is swap out the projector housings to HID projector housing.

What did you do about the high beam?
bamrock9 Same thing, just cut the high beam connector off and splice the wires together.

Victor Petrov They are Depo headlights so you can pick them up on Ebay or search them up, a lot of websites sell them.
