I was all over RUclips getting pissed off because everyone skipped over so much information. YOU were very thorough, which I 100000% appreciated. I got it done at it works good... nice job mate
All those people saying Team View and other applications being better. You're missing the point, this was a tutorial on RDP. If you don't like this application don't use it. But for those who wanted to learn how to use, this is a great video. Regards
Yours was the 3rd tutorial I watched on Remote Desktop Connection and I think the best. I am an intermediate computer user and you explained somethings the others did not... they were a little bit over my head. Thank you!
Thanks for the great video! I do use Teamviewer, but always wanted to setup and use Remote Desktop. This video of yours helped out a lot to do just that. Thank you again!
Hi Brian, not sure if you mentioned it, but you haveto have Win 10 PRO to have remote working, if you have Home your stuffed....back to Teamviewer lol...Fred in Essex Uk
All nicely explained except one crucial thing. To connect to other devices, you need Windows Pro version. Otherwise you can only allow for connection to your own device only.
Tell me if I said something wrong...So to connect from outside a network you need to input your external IP(from which we are going to remotely access) and make changes to the port forwarding sections of the router on which we have the machine which is to be remotely accessed. But in case of accessing a local machine remotely, we need to enter the IP of the machine which is to be remotely controlled.
if you do that in daily basis, you need to pay a good product a product as VNC, is the best option back in the day when i was working in this filed only that works like a champ
I wonder why my desktop PC running on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit cannot do remote desktop connection to my nearby laptop PC running on Windows 10 Home 64-bit both connected to the same network via Ethernet. However, my laptop is able to RDP my desktop without any hassles...
There is no option for "Remote Desktop" in my Windows Firewall - Allowed apps settings? Has the system been updated or is my computer not capable of this option? Hm...
During system properties option, i dont have the option to specify who can connect? I only have the remote assistance option? Any help would be appreciated
hi Britec09,thank you for your video,i just try to get how to speed up my AWS EC2 Rdp ones i try to connect all settings move very slow is there a fix mate ?
Does our other PC have to be online in order to do this and if we use (in the future for e.g.) computer 1, then does that mean in order for it to work we need to have computer two powered on?
what if you wanted to use just the usb port on the remote computer on your local computer? Like lets say the remote computer is super week but you want to access the data on the week computer locally because the local computer has more power.
Yeah, RD is great, saved my ass more than once in college. Remote Assistance on the other handvis great because it is like logmein. With screen mirroring.
My desktop and laptop are on the same network and have remote enabled, but my desktop remote interface displays the message that the IPv4 is not found. Please help!
ok i just want to connect internal network i have auto DHCP, issue is some time i.p address is changing so tell me how can i access with computer name?
I have followed your steps, but in our company domain, it is always asking the other user for his permission to allow remote desktop. Is this a policy or what exactly please?
The purpose of setting a port forwarding is to teach the router which machine inside the LAN to forward the remote WAN request to, BUT... if we have only one machine in the LAN, is port forwarding setting mandatory since there is no choice dilemma for the router (there is only one machine in the LAN) ?
Sorry to ask a perhaps basic question, but when I click on systems from the windows button I odn't get the same screen you do. I get one with System icons on the left an "About Windows 10" section in the middle, and "Related Settings on the right. Is there a basic setting that I need to update?
Still doesnt work for me. I followed everything exactly as you did it. I thought it might be because Ive got many wifi connections, but its not that either. It just wont let me connect.
Thank you very much. I got up to the password part but didn't know I had to make one for the PC. I was like wtf i don't know the PW and there's no prompt to put one in.
AHLO Mate, I still do not know what inside or outside of my network means. I actually don't know what network is let alone mine. I never knew I had one nor would I recognize him, her or it if I was slapped in the face by said. I know that AT&T & Vodafone are telephone networks but they re not mine. I have a phone that uses At&t but it's not MY network. Maybe that's where I'm getting confused. It's like when I came to the States, I heard everyone talking about"my doctor" or My this and My that, whereas in Ireland we just said "the doctor" because he was everyone's doctor and not MINE. COULD THAT BE WHERE THE CONFUSION BEGINS? That would explain a lot. I have always been very literal simply to avoid confusion, which being dyslexic, always helps. When one is very literal it leaves little to be confused by. So when it comes to articles like this, I stop in my tracks and can't move forward. Thus here I am again attempting to get a clear understanding of Remote desktop. And also why do we actually need it when we can simply sync all of our devices / So can anyone kindly suggest a video covering what you think I'm seeking to find OR give a clear explanation of what a network is? I am the only person who uses any of my devices and I'm sure that a network of people requires more than one individual. If I am One, does that mean it is not possible for me to be in or have a network? Welcome to the world of Dyslexia where incomplete phrases and sentences and also slang can be very confusing, to the point where others must think that we are simply Dumb. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Please HELP! ALSO at minute 3:43 did you mean the "computer you want to connect" or "the computer you want to connect TO"?
ok, I have a isolated problem, on a PC, I can RDP out of it, but Not into it, both PC's have Windows 10.. I have access to file share, I have turned off both firewalls and Have granted user permissions in both users/groups... and Ensured that The Remote connection settings are enabled. I uploaded a video on my account if you want to look at it. it frustrates me, when the user is having problems...I cant just get in to look to see what they are doing...... both are on same LAN and it is driving me nuts!!!!!!
This works when I am on the same network, but when on a different network is doesn't, In Port Forwarding- how do you know the starting and ending port? How do you come up with 3389?
its ask for password and i dont know which one i should use i tried put account password but didn't work can u tell where should i check for that password on the other computer im trying to connect to ? what password it that .. thanks

This worked, thank you! Now I can connect to my PC remotely.
tip: *DON'T USE TEAM VIEWER OR ANY DESK.etc, THAT KILLS YOUR RAM AND TAKES UP SPACE*

Where do you get all them beautiful desktop wallpapers from? If you don't mind me asking.
Does our other PC have to be online in order to do this and if we use (in the future for e.g.) computer 1, then does that mean in order for it to work we need to have computer two powered on?

Didn't get this part - in case of connection from outside there is no internal ip address, how pc could distinguish particular pc?
I have followed your steps, but in our company domain, it is always asking the other user for his permission to allow remote desktop. Is this a policy or what exactly please?

Yes, Pro has Remote Desktop Connection and more networking stuff built in. That helps.

its ask for password and i dont know which one i should use i tried put account password but didn't work can u tell where should i check for that password on the other computer im trying to connect to ? what password it that .. thanks
Is this feature compatible in any pc?
This can confuse people. This is local RDP not external RDP. Please explain it. IP config only shows the internal IP. Even confused me
