    This jack was on Fab Rats recently. The standard jack wheels get stuck on the tiniest little thing on the garage floor. With this jack I won’t even have to clear a path through the beer cans to move it around😊

      I found on my Daytona quick pump jack when you want to lower it back down it's so tight I have to use a vice grip to turn it.

      @@denoftools I assume that you're talking about a "normal height" shop stool. If not though, I use the Harbor Freight One Stop Gardens rolling work seat while doing brake jobs and similar, low to the ground work in my shop. I did replace the original 10" pneumatic tires with the flat free tires just in case I roll it over a screw or other sharp object on the floor.
      I'm not sure I'd trust the wheels on that jack to stand up to 3 tons. I'd have to see it in person to make sure that the hubs aren't plastic.

    I just bought one of these 2 weeks ago. I LOVE it! I work exclusively on gravel and grass, and this thing is truly a game changer. Regular jacks were useless to me, as they wouldn't roll in the gravel, and would sink into the dirt when on grass. This thing EASILY traverses any terrain and is quite light. Well-built...even looks nice! Don't know how I lived without it. It saves me SO much time and effort. Best purchase I've made in DECADES!

    Great job by your assistant. The air hose, zip tie, finger-push, and gravel travel sold it. I have a Husky 3-ton and I also have an OSB board (2' x 3')in the garage for this very task of allowing the wheels to roll freely when being jacked up on my work surface. My area is rural lands and this seems to fit the bill perfectly as long as I'm on decent flat-ish working area of dirt, gravel, grass. Thank you very much for overlooking this off-road jack.

    If the off road jack is a sales success, I see one improvement that could be made to a 2nd gen model...Since the rear wheels don't swivel like a regular floor jack, they should come up with a way to lock the handle upright. That way, you'd be able to raise the front wheels off the ground which would allow you to pivot it into position much easier.

  • @jgrenwod
    @jgrenwod Год назад +1

    The push test sold me on this jack. When you don’t have to “put your back into it” while positioning it to the right spot under the car, that’s the game changer.

    My house is in a cul-de-sac, and I work on my RAM 1500 CC or wife's car in the street. I have the older 3 ton low profile Pittsburgh Jack. The issue I have with that, is sometimes when jacking it up or letting it down, it won't roll with the jack and it popped off once. I got lucky. I'm looking at this jack, because I like the way it rolls and would probably roll nice and easy as it needs to while jacking up my truck in the street.

    My "off road" jack is a 2 ton HF racing jack with a 2'x2'x1/4" steel plate I throw down under whatever I need to lift if isn't not on solid ground :D
    I'm really hoping HF put in some extra R&D into this because I'd have expected those wheels to be at least metal hubs to support the 3 tons it's rated at (I know it's dispersed between all four wheels, but that's still a lot of weight). Also leery of the higher center of gravity with those wheels, I'd think they should be spaced out further, even more so with that extender plate, could act like a lever on the jack and throw the balance off if you're not careful. Not saying it won't be ok, but those are my observations. I'd hate for this to turn into the jack stands all over again.
    I do like the on-board storage for the extension, though. Someone was actually thinking. I'll have to watch some more reviews, maybe ProjectFarm will do some kind of vid on it.

    I have that long reach right in the same color too and honestly love it but that badland is soooo appealing. That extension. Guess it would be a perfect combo pair of jacks to have in the garage. I have the 1.5 aluminum jack to to sith the long reach but i keep rhat in the back of the van

    I love this idea, but it will be so important to chock your vehicle’s wheels(like it should be) because of how it easy it rolls. But having said that, moving a car on wheel stands with this would be much easier to put the car in a corner.

    Could that 25% off New Year coupon work on this jack? I don't see Badlands or Jacks on the no go list. On that note I had an issue using it on the Poulan Pro chainsaw. The cashier agreed it should apply but the system wasn't letting it apply, she followed this up with telling me she can only give 20% off same as the manager. Its still cheaper by $15 than the next cheapest I can find. Org price $219.99 20% off came to $44.00 off, Sale price $175.99, still a good deal here so I didn't throw a tantrum and bought it. Missing out on that last 5% which would come to about $5.50 isn't enough to make me get upset or not buy it as it was still a good deal.
