This was the best redesigned Kaiju in the whole series, I’m glad the weapon they made using Archetype’s didn’t succeed in killing it, merely stopping it’s advance up from the pit.
Seeing that they needed a time bomb explode on point blank alongside all the damage from the 2 incomplete orthogonal diagonalizer to kill it made SP's kaijus be a whole another level.
Salunga is quite cool looking. He may not be an Eldritch Abomination like the incarnation of Godzilla here, but it is shown that he is an intelligent and evil force of nature

You can see the baboon traits from his agilty body and his primitive looking face. For the Gabara traits well... you can see it's self explanatory. When the Fat Lady mulled closing the silo doors to trap both Salunga and her team, I wondered: "Lady, by any chance might you be related to Amanda Waller?"

Kinda weird that they decided to take Gabara, blow him up with power and give him a different name. I mean like, Salunga is a monkey-reptilian thingy with a horn on it's head, green and bumpty skin, has electrical powers, is cunning, cruel and malevolent, practically Gabara if made more serious and darker. So why did they make him a new monster?
I know we’ll probably never see this guy again aside from maybe a return for season 2 (season 2 was officially announced on Twitter) but I really like him and I think he’s quite unique, he’s a mix of a primal and lizard-y kaiju, his design makes me think of a rhino gorilla and I like it, and we see later on he can use some type of electricity as seen when he opens the large base trapdoor with electricity coming from his hands which I think should be expanded upon in season 2, as well as his regenerative abilities. Honestly he was the only monster who I had zero issues with in this terrible anime
We already got Mothra in the form of the tiny moths that Jet Jaguar PP interacts with before he takes on Godzilla. Ghidorah however has yet to appear so I do wonder if they’ll do anything with him.

I lowkey thought this was Gabara when this anime's
teaser trailer first dropped back in October 2020.
He is, most of SP's kaijus are fusions of many old kaijus, Salunga is part Gabara, but also is part Baragon and more.

Apparently we got news for the soft vinyl figure for movie monster series. But hopefully Bandai will decide to make this one and SH monster arts soon.
