I love how each of Goji's forms in SP are also references to various Kaiju that didn't quite make the cut for their own appearance in the show, culminating in Ultima who more so resembles the King we know and love. Man seeing that part where those bombs hit Godzilla in the back causing him to bleed from his back reminded me of that scene from Shin Godzilla where the U.S. Air Force hit him with those M.O.P.S. in the exact same way man that was freaky.
Man as far as I know Shin Godzilla and Godzilla Terrestris are the only incarnations of Godzilla where they were actually wounded enough from Human weapons that made them bleed and all it took was hitting them on the back near the dorsal spines.
This might be the one time Godzilla has been hurt this badly. I know Shin was, but this felt more likely to seriously hurt, or maybe even kill him if the third bomb had hit. Not much of a series though if it did.
Yes. There are other Kaiju in the series, you know. Goji's had almost seven DECADES of spotlight, his co-stars deserve some time to shine too. He's the final threat. Also, this is only one of his forms in said show, he has a lot more screen time than this in the final act.
Why are the Japanese trying so hard to mutilate their own iconic monsters? Damn, even the first Godzilla from '54 was scary enough. Just keep that simple form...
Variation is fun. New Godzilla designs don't overwrite the old ones. Also nowadays the buildings of Tokyo are so tall that if the original Godzilla appeared he would look like a lost child among them.
