Reports arised that she faced the Giant Rubber Duck God in battle, and was transformed into a hen-duck as punishment. When informed, Magellan insulted the Giant Rubber Duck God in front of Lapu Lapu, Datu of Mactan. Lapu Lapu, enraged by such temerity from Magellan, attacked the expedition party the following day, in what today is remembered as the Battle of Mactan.
