Maybe. I think if it was actually Ricky though, he would be a bit more adversarial, and maybe just straight up tell Karl he was wrong. It did sound like him though, for sure - but in a different depth of voice. Maybe the bloke was from the same town as Ricky, so has the same accent and manner.
It's been a full decade since I listened through all the XFM shows. But, I was thinking about this comment as I listened to these just now, and damn, it's hard to deny there are similarities in his voice. The "yeahs" are so similar I can imagine that just subconsciously coming out in a characteristic way.
