They showed some nice helicopter views of this area during the 2018 Tour de France. I purchased some gray, Guérande coarse sea salt on eBay, and also a stone mortar and pestle to grind it to a finer texture. My favorite salt along with pink Himalayan Salt.

I am sorry but this salt is very well marketed but it is far from the best salt. The grey colour comes from the mad that is obvious everywhere. Has anyone put it through a chemical test?It It is not so good.Sorry to dissapoint you. The pink Himalayan is not from the sea . It s mined and the only good thing about it is the color. If you make a chemical analysis as I did you will see that it is very low in minerals exactly the opposite of what they advertise. So from the two prefer the first. However keep in mind that the best salt is the one coming from sunny countries, unpolluted seas and mainly from rocks because it is completely pure white with shiny crystals.

@@reaginictuba6913 They grow salt from bioremediation and recycle it as sodium chloride.

@@JH-qz6en Natural sea salt or rock sea salt clear white from the mediteranean is the best. either from italy greece, island of Crete or Cyprus.

Is there any large container ships sailing in the Atlantic near the canal?

Currently reading "Salt: A World History" authored by Mark Kurlansky. Just read a passage about the Guerande salt marshes, the seventeen mile sea wall and the work of the paludier (swamp worker). Fascinating .

Hello Faramund, thank you for your comment. Melanie, the voice over, is not Irish and is not trying to sound like an American. She is a Canadian. :) Cheers
