Hi, John. You've been one of my few main influences since starting my woodworking journey. Keep up the good work. I'm finally about to start making storage for all my hand tools this summer. Racks/tills/cabinets/shelves, etc. One thing though, that I can't make my mind up on, is whether I should go with a solution where my cabinets are closed with cabinet doors, when not in use, or whether it should all be without. I have a little bit of heating in there in winter time, to stay above freezing. Not very humid where I live btw. Would love to get your view. Kind regards from Norway.
It all depends on the humidity, if its low where you are it should be easy enough to take care of your tools, just keep them treated with something like "Protec Tool" and you should be just fine.

trying clamping by orienting the board along the leg to take some wobble out of your clamp setup instead of the bottom hanging free.

Well done and welcome back. Enjoyed the fact that you showed the router mistake, but surprised that you carried on without modifying it. I was wondering if you could’ve take the same board, flipped it over, routed the other face at the proper spacing, and then you wouldn’t have to re-drill all the dog holes, just have to flush-cut the old legs. Fun to watch!

Hi John, Great additions to your work bench, can't go wrong with T-track good for clamping down if you don't have a bench vice. A sliding drawer with in your drawer is a good use of space for your bench dogs. Great video Take care

I have a t track like that for clamping too. Like you say you can clamp down with a lot of pressure, with those type and ratchet clamps. I'm not even sure what the benefits of a tail or moxon vise are, they just seem to be something that would stick out awkwardly in a small workshop.

Great to see you back. I'm currently building my own handtool wall cabinet. My workshop is also a steeltech shed albeit much smaller than yours. Question how do you manage the cold and heat in the workshop?
The heat sucks there is not much you can do apart from fans, I don't mind the cold as much its not too bad when you are working, just keep on top of the rust on tools.

I have a question for you I know you are a electrician and I live I Washington state in the United State and I was given a floor Drill press and a shop vacuum that have Europe style plugsand I was wondering if I can convert them over to United States power can you advise? Thank you for your advice!
