Thanks for the great tips ! Question: you mentioned in your ATP forehand video that you should stop your chest at your target, so basically that means at the moment of impact your shoulders should form a line perpendicular to where you are aiming at. So here for the two-handed backhand, which angle do the shoulders need to be aligned at upon impact ? And what about the one-handed backhand ?

I am a 5.0 player and have recently started having pain/discomfort at contact in my left wrist (I am righthanded) on my 2 handed backhand. Have you experienced this?

Good video but the topic of 2h backhand is so much of a confusion and variations … many people say right hand is pulling then left is pushing. Preparation of alcaraz and zverev are different. What you explained here is aligned with zverev explanation but not so much with other guys which use right hand actively … may be you can clarify this a bit … so confused by different information.

The main difference maker is what eye you're dominant on: For right handers, if you're left eye dominant you should hit the backhand in a more open stance so your left eye still sees the court. If you're right eye dominant (like Zverev for example) you can hit in a closed stance since your right eye will still be able to everything and the closed stance gives you a slightly more controlled contact. On the forehand the same principle applies, just vice versa - so again; have a stance which allows your dominant eye to see the court. That's generally the thing to keep in mind when watching technique videos: You will have to slightly adjust for your needs...
You can look up eye dominance in tennis here on youtube if you want it explained by coaches and to know what eye you're dominant on etc...

@@Luckyluckyluc well I don't think this is accurate.. it's the same as say WTA or ATP forehand is decided by eye dominance.. there are different ways to hit 2handed backhand .. and it not just a stance. See Nadal and Kyrgious ..

@@AlexanderAndreev1799 of course there are different ways apart from eye dominance, I never claimed differently... It's just the stance that is heavily decided by eye dominance and is generally the variable most diverse in these coaching videos...
