      tbh i found it quite boring and basic. it wasn't really funny either. and the whole idea of coco not wanting to change the game despite her being the exact opposite in shadowlands was a bit odd and caught me off guard a little. had to be an error or she changed since shadowlands happened. still though, im surprised it's the lowest rated episode so far

    I feel like we need an episode focused on Coco's home life - exploring what it's like to be not only in a family as big as hers, but being the youngest of all those kids could be interesting. Especially when most of the characters we know either seem to be only children or have maybe one or two siblings. And seeing how Coco is at home could add some depth to her that I'm not sure I can say she has in the show so far?

      Definitely, it'd be interesting to see how Bella and her husband parent the kids. It'd also be nice to see older kids too other than that kid working at the toy store, seeing as by the looks of it a good couple of Cocoa's older siblings are teenagers.

    I feel this is an episode that will help very specific people, example, kids and adults who are/were excluded or do/did the excluding, and people who have anxiety of losing friends if things change. I get that to some people that would make it boring or bad, but it genuinely felt very real to me, as someone who was excluded from games as a kid and teen, and now as an adult have huge fears of changes in friendship activities being a sign of losing said friends. It did all of that very well.

    • @ikrIkarus
      @ikrIkarus Год назад +2

      I think there is that problem with Indy though, who now is in the precarious situation of having to balance wanting to be friends with Coco while doing things Coco doesn't like. I feel like they didn't actually pull through with that idea, that friends sometimes just grow apart. And while certainly not being a nice thing, it isn't really anybody's fault.

    • @KaylaChan90
      @KaylaChan90 Год назад +4

      @@ikrIkarus It was about compromise, not growing apart. Coco was scared to lose Indy so she got stuck in wanting to play a game they both like (she realizes that herself). Indy kept inviting her to play, but that fear of change was stopping it.

    • @ikrIkarus
      @ikrIkarus Год назад

       @KaylaChan90 I think both really. Their interests are drifting apart but in order to not loose their friendship they compromise. Though I think the way this is achieved is kind of iffy. Like Coco is literally just menacingly staring at them from a distance, which prompts Indy to step in. Just imagine that in real life. It doesn't seem like the proper way to go about this. In the context of the game where everything is in good fun it's okay, I guess. But I think showing a more diplomatic approach would have been better, also putting greater emphasis on the lesson learned by Coco, with her coming up with a compromise instead of Indy

    • @KaylaChan90
      @KaylaChan90 Год назад +2

      @@ikrIkarus She was giggling, she knew what she was doing and enjoying it. The point was adapting and compromising.

    • @ikrIkarus
      @ikrIkarus Год назад

      @@KaylaChan90 I'm not doubting that, I just think they could have done a better job in showing that. In my opinion, the way they have done it, Indy does most of the adapting and compromising. While for Coco things stay mostly the same, apart from Indy not being there full time and her gaining the title of "Pink Witch". I guess you can't rush change and such. But I think that's one reason why people have a hard time empathizing with Coco and hence the episode as a whole. Like it can come across as Coco being all like "you have to play with me" at first and then "you can do your own thing, but you have to find a way to make me happy too". I'am not saying that is the one true interpretation or something. I think that is just something people with struggles like you described possibly can slip into, understandably so and not by their own fault really, speaking from experience here. I think the episode just leans a little bit to much into that territory.

    I didn't hate this one. I won't say it is one I would recommend to a new viewer, but it has its place in Bluey's world, further exploring the dynamics of her friends and their friendships.
    Coco and Indy seem to be different in how and why they are. Indy seems more free spirit but has some firm requirements like dietary and we saw her household views in Mums & Dads which led to the conflict with Rusty. Coco had wanted to bend the rules in Shadowlands but learned she needs to keep to the rules, it's likely that stuck with her and so she is a lot more strict about how to play something.
    Differences in views can lead to conflict, and with Indy feeling the game was being too monotonous due to Coco wanting to stick to how it was, of course she would want to consider playing something else, but at the same time she didn't want to intentionally exclude Coco. But Coco wanting to stick to the rules caused her to lose out with Indy getting caught in the other game and her not wanting to change things.
    I like that Calypso came to her and asked her why she wanted to play Wild Girls with Indy to give her a different perspective of the situation. They were able to reach a compromise because Coco realised the most important part of the game was who she was playing it with rather than the game itself. So she was able to play with Indy while Indy still got to do something else and still play Wild Girls as well without having to choose anybody.
    With Coco being from such a large family, I feel like she might also be raised to be in less compromising situations sometimes. Especially if she is still the youngest and her older siblings were encouraged to give in to her. (Usually happens that way.)

    -I feel like in this instance of Coco being inflexible with the plot of games, I think it would have been a great inclusion if they had her go off to do something for the game herself just before her friends found the others, and
    -her coming back and being thrown into an alien scenario completely different from what she expected.
    -Maybe cut to a few POV shots where we see that Coco is losing track of the others' interactions (possibly blurring the others' voice lines/overlapping them to be confusing)
    -and really showing Coco's overwhelmed feeling about suddenly being thrown into a change and feeling like she can't break back into the interaction/game.
    -Then, when she understandably lashes out because of this, she is unable to properly communicate her feelings and seems more angry about the game not going her way than what is actually going on.
    -Then, she runs off and Calypso finds her and teaches her the original message, but also places emphasis on how she should deal with her feelings and find a way to enjoy it again.
    -Then the episode ends with Coco rejoining the others and using her newfound skills to continue playing with them.
    I broke this up into sections cause I wanted to be able to read it later haha

I can also be a bit controlling and get upset when others in my group arent cooperating (aka doing what i tell them to) and for me i think it really stems from low self esteem and lack of confidence. I dont take risks if i can help it and i like to do things the same way every time.
    As a child i also felt like a third wheel most of my life within my friend groups which made me very possesive over certain friends. I still remember when one girl who i considered my best friend, was casually telling me about her best friend, some girl ive never even met. I felt so crushed learning i was nobody's favorite. Or, maybe she has super hearing, 'cause some people are born with special abilities. I bet she could hear a child crying from a mile away. I think an opening scene with Coco wanting to play a game with her sibling(s), but them forcing her to play a different game or something like that *really* would have elevated this episode into a spot amongst the better ones, but it's totally understandable if the Bluey crew couldn't design a new set or rig/voice new characters for it.

I spent most of recess sitting on a curb under a tree just waiting because they were the only people I had to play with.
    I even went up to them at one point because I thought they forgot about me and they got mad that I broke the immersion and sent me back to "jail". I'm pretty sure by the time they found me, I was crying because they had isolated me all recess.

    I thought it was a good episode, but it could have been better. The moral was good, and I liked how it had a spooky kind of feel to it. Overall, after Dragon, it's just not as exciting. But, they can't all be winners!

    While the ep wasn't one of my favorites, i feel like some people are being overly harsh with it. maybe bc they thought it would link up with the space ep and are disappointed from that expectation? not sure. being torn between friends wanting to play different things is a common kid problem to have, and i think that kids will relate to it. i think it's just an ep mostly for kids, and that's fine.

    As much as I love the episode, especially the Calypso coming out of nowhere part, I'll give it about a 4.2 - 4.7 out of 5 long dogs. Not 100% the very best episode, but I still love it.

    I honestly didn't see much wrong with this episode~ I actually really enjoyed it a lot, I find that I enjoy the episodes where the kids are in their imaginations and just playing games with one another, most notably Shadow Lands, that episode hit me hard and made me long for the days of being able to run around parks with my friends and pretend to be in a mystical land with characters and adventures~ Wild Girls had that same feeling of playing with friends and also finding out that a little change in games doesn't always mean the game will be much different. All and all I loved it for the nostalgic reasons of just wanting to be a kid again and play games with my friends at school at recess and lunch~

Also I also love Winton especially in the episode with Major Tom because he is just so derpy and funny in that episode. I think Coco is controlling because she is used to being the baby and the youngest and is used to being pampered.

    I think Coco like I think she is a people pleaser. Okay because in season one she wanted to change the games in the episode shadow land. But then bluey told her that she shouldn't. She probably took that advice seriously. So later when she didn't was the game to change she, was most probably just thinking about the thing that bluey told her. Now thinking about it's not really people pleasing but it's more like since she has a lot of older siblings who tell her what do and stuff, shes probably used to people telling her what to do.
    Edit: Idk really know much about Bluey I kinda just started watching so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ this is just what I think :)
