Just did Alaska this September on Celebrity. It was the best cruise ever, with zero problems, I mean zero from home to home, still can’t believe it. Anyways live Celebrity!
Nice. We sailed Anthem once, maybe twice - not to that region but I believe out of Southampton. Has a lot to offer. Part of the fun is the planning so enjoy that while you await the journey!
I was born & raised in Alaska but haven’t been back for 20+ years. Hubby’s never been. I REALLY want a one way so we can spend some time in Anchorage to see my old friends & family. There’s not as many that do one-ways anymore.
A couple of issues. On the Anthem of the Seas, the September 5 cruise only stops in Victoria for five hours. After spending three weeks in September 2024 in Alaska on HAL Nieuw Amsterdam and Celebrity Solstice, I would probably only book on HAL or Princess as they tend to have better port locations, port tomes, and naturalists. We paid $1200 + grats for a 14 day Vancouver to Whittier on HAL NA booking in March 2024. Our favorite things were College Fjords and Whittier, places where there are a lot fewer visitors. We will be back to Alaska in 2025 on Discovery Princess on our way to Singapore.
That is a downside of some of those stops in Victoria - we have had one of those before - you have to get at it for sure given the time. Doable at least for one or two things to see. Thanks for your feedback as well on your experiences and who you liked best. Always helpful for everyone. Great deal as well on your March '24! Enjoy your Transpacific cruise - sounds great especially ending up in Singapore.
Yep, do agree on that. Definitely the best value at the moment. The newer ships will run up the cost a bit so something that has to be weighed with the pros vs cons of an older ship.
Sounds like a great plan - they have definitely been going there about the longest. I'd just do a bit of research and make sure that HAL is a good match for what you are after. It'll be a great voyage!
I have not been to any Alaska cruise. Still checking out the process of cruising. Is there any ship leaving for Alaska from Long Beach California? I live in Southern California and thread about flying to another town.
Hell- while there aren't many I did find a couple of options out of Los Angeles area. 16 day cruise on the Grand Princess (Princess) Departs from Los Angeles, CA on Sat Aug 30, 2025 and 16 day cruise on the Emerald Princess (Princess) Departs from Los Angeles, CA on Mon Sep 14, 2026. A few more sea days as well but you get quite a few great stops and you don't need to fly anywhere :)

Sounds like a great voyage! We love Celebrity - we have I think 3 cruises booked on them over the next couple of years. Great choice.
Your content! So good! Love all the details. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words. Keep watching and we'll keep putting them out there :)
Been to Alaska 3 times. NCL, Princess, and RCCL. We're now looking at 2026. Ni decision yet on cruise line, but leaning to the Anthem.

Thank you for the deals!! We are doing Holland Sept 2025.
Amazing. Perfect timing for an Alaskan cruise and HAL does a great job there. Enjoy the voyage!

You are right but there's definitely some out there if you dig a little. Sounds like it will be a great trip.

Great video. The NCL Jade is an old dated ship. Nothing like the new NCL ships.

Thank you for the video. I am looking at Alaska in 2025. Everyone tells me HAL is the way to go for Alaska as they have the best docking locations.
