The scariest coaster ever, not only did, it feel like its about to collapse into the sea on the clime , but it always looked like somebody left a low hanging scaffold bar across the track and looked like it was about to decapitate everyone.

Childhood at my nans in Southsea, days & the beach on Hayling Island, drinks at South Parade Pier when I was older. I've not been back since nan died in '73. She and my grandad ran a shop In Comercial Road called Shop & Save during the 60s, but the Ss fell off the sign and it got called Hop & Ave. Great Summers.
So pleased you enjoyed the Slide Show. I take it that you have seen the others. There is a little more of Portsmouth & Southsea in Pipeline Thanks - Dave
I remember the Jane aground. My grandad drove down from Copnor to see her. I don’t go to Pompey very often now but when I do I somehow expect to see her still.
some great pictures there mate. where is the last one taken with the Castellated tower? I don't recognise that at all. So many places in those pictures have long gone or changed greatly over the years. I'm just kickin' 60yrs old but your pictures brought back a few memories of how things used to be, before the City Planners made their ''err hem Improvements''🤔💩
Thanks for your kind comments. Thats why I take all my time making these Slideshows. So pleased you enjoyed viewing. I apologise for including the Tower. I see it is actually Isle of Wight.
Remember it well. At 'Point 3.41' the police attended a wandering swan in the Canoe Lake area. The AJS Police divisional motorcycle herding the swan ETP84C, I regularly rode the sister motorcycle ETP85C based at Cosham! These were the days of Portsmouth having its own City Police Force.
Thanks Bob for that great Comment, Oh! to go back to those days. All my previous shows of the area are on my Web Site www.pickofthepics.co.uk. Don't miss them. No swans though.
Great seeing the wild mouse at 1.56. I worked on it as a summer job in 1980

3:43 an unusual bike at the best of times but rare in police use: AJS Model 14 250.
Great pics. Naff music. Thanks though 👍
Music is a bit depressing but at least I don't have to pay for it. Thanks for your comment.

Despite 'global warming' the sea level at Point is still the same...
You need re-education....
Awful music !
Sorry Mike. I make them for fun and have to use free music that has no copywright.
