The DWP is terrible. i still have panic attacks. Every time they send me a letter, they put me through hell once, and i still can't get past it. My last assessment went ok, but i was lucky to have a nice guy for a change
I think is the general fear people have of the DWP the Brown envelope dropping through the door, its like they want to control your life and ruin it just like that, you must of had a good one which is amazing to hear! they are very far and few between.
they could help carers more, £77 per week is not enough for looking after a long term ill person 24/7, its disgusting....
No its not at all they are the ones who also suffer.

Thats horrible how they bullied you out, i guess you stood up for yourself and others and didn't fancy acting how they do now? good for you is all i can say!

Just want to say ..love your vids with advice and such.... I had a phone assessment yesterday , and I have to say it went great... it was a real surprise 😮 .. she was a nurse and was kind and emphatic, any way long story short...I recorded it... she knew , and at the end she actually said she would recommend help for me in her report and would be very very lucky surprised if I was to receive nothing.. ( my recording says it )... so I must have had a good one....assessment was at 11-45 ...got a txt from dwp saying they have received report and may take up to 8 weeks for however much ..standard or enhanced ... but really really surprised at outcome.... so just gotta wait n see now 👍
@@davewilson4477 Hi dave! thats good news, just please throw caution to the wind however as many assessors do pretend to be polite and nice in the need to trick you up, its happened to myself twice!! if it wasnt for the fact i recorded everything and then cross referenced her report they would have got away with it, not saying shes done this but a good 85% do and id hate that to have happened to you, please let us know on this post though when you find out!

I would say firstly assessors most be qualified and have a background in what they are assessing and remove any incentives to take expel off benefits
Id change the system and make it work for the people , the honest people.
DWP,and all governments need to change. The only way is to vote them out.
I would take their anonymity away from them so they can be personally sued. Then, see what they feel like when they have nothing,losing their house and all personal possession
The most vulnerable need to be protected in society the assessments cause more problems for their health, the system needs to be overhauled even Rishi mentioned this 4 years ago but what has he done nothing
he's changed his tune it seems now, he wants to get all of the disabled back to work etc or work from home, reality is there isnt work or employers who are willing to adjust and ammend to the level required for some disabilities.
instead of trying to remove benefits to save 1 billion, look at those billionaires who dont pay tax and go for them instead. they dont need the money trust me lol
i blame ian duncan smith for this caos as he was the one who changed it from dla to pip. greedy bastard.
The assessors need to be scrapped and application info from the applicants Doctor should be relied on.... pay the GP to complete the form or supply letter.

A male assesor asked me how ofen i chnaged my knickers ! I was mortified . He lied several time about my assement said i refused to do the physical assessment when i didnt he said to me its a waste of time so didnt do it . I so wished i had recorded it . This was for lcwra . I didnt get it and appealed and got lcw . Im now awaiting another assessment, and it's already affecting me having to go through this yet again 😢
Thats disgusting!! please record the next one regardless to what they say to protect yourself! a man should not be asking another woman how often they change their knickers?! the assesment should have been done by a female for starters if this is the case, thats so so wrong.

That is indeed a disgusting & deplorable question to ask a woman during a PIP claim, not to mention the fact that it came from a male accessor! He should be ashamed of himself and should be given a written warning by his manager, no doubt he won’t, cos it’s the DWP we’re talking about isn’t it, hope your ok Wendy, take care & best of luck with your claim for PIP🙏🙂

First thing to do is bring all the assessments in house away from the multiple companies leeching on the social funds.
Next would be to extend the time between assessments to ten years.
Next would be not to stop claimants awards until it is proven that the claimant is no longer eligible.

Easy remove their animinty to prosecution so the bad dwp personal get removed and sued

I agree 100%. And they should be made to sign reports and any and all forms or correspondence with their name. Not just an agent. As they do now.they know if they lie and sign it they can be sued as an individual. Which is much easier to do than suing a corporation.

Take assessment out of the hands of the DWP.
Set up an Occupational Health section of the NHS and make their decision binding upon the DWP.
I can't even go past my jobcentre with anxiety im dreading when I have to gonin there again
I got a phone assessment on the 1st. I'm back and forth for a possible cancer diagnosis, I asked for a hold on this until I knew what was going on, They said that this didn't count as reasonable excess and if I refused the call they would stop my PIP
they are legalised criminals , they are paid to take away help for the disabled and elderly , do they hate us .
th reason dwp treats people different than a shop staff is simple: you GIVE money to the shop which they want you to do, as a disabled person the dwp gives you money, so they rather you dont even exist.
They should employ assessors that are quaified in ALL aspects of mental health for a start.
What can we do about it?? Nothing?
The system is a farce, I got 27 points last time in 2020 after just being diagnosed with adult Autism… two years later I had a bad attack and was in hospital for a week and two months after diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) and I put both conditions on the form with all my conditional discharge papers, after a phone interview, received a letter and they gave me 2 points this time 🤷♂️🤷♂️absolute joke mate… anyway good video mate, thanks for sharing 😁👍

Sent my mandatory reconsideration letter by recorded delivery on Saturday....it got there yesterday...signed as COVID 😂.
my docter and the rest of the medical profeshinals told me that i have a disability that has no known cure , its called ostioarthritis , in 2011 i was registered disabled because of this ,i was told that my condition would worsen over time and i may end up in a wheelchair , i recived middle rate care and the higher rate of mobility allowence indefinately , in 2019 -2020 , i had a review because of the change from dla to pip and scored zero points so i had to appeal against this ruleing , then i was rewarded with standard rate care and zero mobility , i have hated them ever since ,as now im vertualy a prisoner in my own home , feels abit like the lock downs ,not very nice at all.

Just because a person hasn't been sectioned or has not been sectioned for a few years it shouldn't be assumed that they are well enough to work and function well on a day to day basis. Some may have needed the extra medical attention when they are in crisis and not get the help they need. So called "Crisis teams" leave a lot to be desired and try to keep people out of hospital as long as possible due to bed shortages and a shortage of staff.
I have been sent a letter for a work capability assessment I filled in the assesment form four years ago.My conditionhas changed for the worse plus I cannot remember what wasput on the form and I know there is more recent medical evidence I know has not been submitted.In all honesty I am in a bad way and I really feel I can,t go through this without any support.I have recently had precancerous cells removed and I am at rock bottom mentally any Ideas what I can do ? am distraught staying with family at the moment as I am not coping on my own .
Hiya, just get all the current medical evidence you have from your GP or whoever assists you with this and put this together as your evidence and explain to them how you feel now not before and if its worse its worse, genuine people like yourself should be treated with respect and care especially if you have had this previously and nothing has changed, try not to worry or panic i know its easy said than done beleive me, but you got this!

See how they like it jokes aside. I'm literally working at the moment just not enough hours getting treated worse than being unemployed. The system is broken. And the WC saying this works part time she told me also probably getting top ups on UC. Crazy or what crazy people working in the DWP.

It's ridiculous.
It truly is ridiculous, at the moment it appears a lot of people are getting pushed out by the DWP and forcefully having benefits removed or changed leaving them high and dry, the compassion has truly gone and they are no longer an entity that is fit to help the populace.

I had my pip cancelled and I am worse medically, than I was before. I have even been medically retired. They don’t know what they are doing

The professional opinion of your Specialist or GP should be enough to get you your ESA or UC. You should not have an underling countermanding the opinion of a senior medical professional.
Benefit level for those of us unfit for work need increasing. I am currently living on, no existing on less than I was earning 19 years ago!
You would of thought this as being correct and i agree with you 100% however it appears in todays world this is not accepted as standard proof however it should be.

I'm not sure what to change, as I have just been awarded pip and I only had the assessment on 18th march. I must be really lucky with the assessor 🤷♀️. I have PTSD and went through hell with numerous operations last year. I am waiting for physio so I would like to know if I can walk again will DWP stop my pip? Thank you

They need to support people more,on things give them help,support more advice let people know what benefits they are entitled too instead of not helping them. All benefit a should be fairer. Pip needs to be done differently as it isn't a fair benefit to start with. The points system is a stupid idea. Stop treating normal people as criminals. Keep the nice staff get rid of the ones who treat people unfairly maybe employ people who have been through certain situations as people are or have been on benefits. As none have a clue about health problems etc. Need a decent fairer benefit system instead of a courpt one.
I have Bipolar and the assessor always asks if i am suicidal and will i take my life today! Still waiting for tribunal.
i have not recived notice from dwp on how much the pip will rise this year ,mind you i have a review next year ,could that be the reason why ,i dont know , does anybody out there know , as i would like to.
