    Rishi Sunak does not have a clue how we live day to day, being poor is horrible.

      @iskrajackal9049 3 месяца назад +13

      Of course being poor is horrible. We are always poor whether we are experiencing In Work poverty or on a starvation diet when sick or disabled. The reason we are poor is constantly put down to our alleged laziness or financial 'stupidity' but the reality is that we are being systematically exploited (robbed). The people we are allowed to vote for hate and despise us. To them we are stupid fools they can con to get them a seat on the gravy train. None of them are our friends, they are not our mates. The state is not neutral, and there is no fairness or justice unless you are rich. If this is news to you then study socialism and start fighting back in the class war. And if you don't realise you are at war then you are collateral damage unless you wake up. No disrespect here, only love ❤

    These forms have been around for a while as I had one of the new ones end of January this year. I'm thinking the OT report might be important as when I had to fill my PIP reassessment form in I was due to move to new premises alone with no carer so as I was struggling with carer away for a couple of weeks, I knew I'd struggle more alone but said I'd ask for OT assessment when I was in new property (can't ask until in the premises apparently). 2 months after the form went in they said still deciding but haven't cut my money and the only thing they don't have from what I said on form is OT assessment. When that came in almost a month after I had had assessment and with more info than they normally write as I said I needed it for PIP, I sent it in with covering letter detailing how I'm struggling alone, mental health issues from DWP system meaning I'm having to use PIP for essentials so can't get a cleaner, worried about money etc. Crossing fingers they increase my daily living to enhanced from standard as I am having to do everything myself, which is a nightmare for me.
    I can understand they don't want regular hospital appointment letters but if you are declaring a new condition and are waiting to see specialist for it, surely an appointment letter confirms when you are having that appointment so they know a) you aren't just making it up and b) why no meds/treatment plan etc for it as not seen specialist yet but due to? Also wonder if it's in response to us complaining the forms are so long that they shortened them but made it so we can't give the right amount of info so they can fail us? When we were having palpitations and mental health crises at the DWP brown envelope, they listened...and now use a white envelope because obviously it's the colour that's the problem, not the fact that we are terrified on opening it that we've lost our lifeline or have to be reassessed imminently with all the pain, fatigue and mental health issues that involves!

    i had a full spine mri, when i had to fill in the next form it stated that they only wanted test results etc from only the 3 months prior to the date of the form being filled in, so this full spine mri was not taken into account.
    as for aids, i gave a walking stick and grab rails in the shower, i also had a walk in shower put in as i couldnt climb into or out of a bath. i was told that the walking stick (i was told i needed 2 when diagnosed) i have and the grab rails are NOT considered aids i need because they were not PRESCRIBED by a gp and it was my choice to change the bath to a shower and that didnt count either. i was told to get the walking sticks by a physio my gp sent me too

    I'm just wondering if the Labour Party are going to be any different to the outgoing Tory administration with regards to PIP reforms. I've just watched an item on the news about Labour's plans to tackle unemployment. They want to get people back into work as soon as possible, and most especially all those folks suffering from anxiety & depression. That sounds suspiciously like they're going to target PIP claimants to me without stating it directly. What do you guys think?

    They did all this for the WCA process.
    There is no point sending them the copies of appointment letters or descriptions of the condition you've been diagnosed with - they will go on what you say and can check if need be.
    Every assessment is based on how your condition affects you day to day. People with the conditions I have can be affected severely or not necessarily as much. Plus it is easy for anyone faking to make themselves appear terrible in front of any medical practitioner and the problem is that they tend to assume you are making things sound worse. This is the problem - not that they don't want to accept the paperwork.
    Charlie Anderson has some great step by step videos on how to navigate the PIP form, practice for your assessment, and how to get the points whilst being honest - and to be aware of how you can be tricked.

Another eg, i used a phrase the gp had used but because he hadn't written that particular phrase down litterally (he wrote it down in medical terminology) 'they' made a 'highlight' of it, what the so called practice nurse(assessor) didn't realise was that one problem (verbally used phrase) caused the other problem (written down med terminology). If you've got a headache from reading my comment, that's understandable.😊

    I wouldn't want them to contact my GP now due to the problems of even getting an appointment within 4 weeks and with a different Dr every time. Years ago your GP knew their patients very well but is that the case now? not where I live! Do GPs have the time to go through reams of notes? and would the information they give be complete? A inaccurate report can loose you your benefit. I remember 20 years ago our GP wrote that my 7 year old autistic son was having speech and language therapy so will get better. We lost his DLA and I ended up having to go to tribunal which of course was laughed out of court as autism is a lifelong developmental disorder.

    Vouchers instead of money, 'lovely' idea: Unlikely to be accepted/convenient for small businesses, unlikely to be accepted for non food items, clothes, gas and electricity, mobile topups, nappies petrol (some people on benefits have jobs and are disabled or have chronic illness, and many nurses endure in-work poverty), OTC medicines not prescribed by GPs. Vouchers will probably have expiry dates making it risky to save up for bigger purchases such as food for a family gathering at Christmas or a birthday party. They may also have to be spent all in one visit. In short, vouchers seem to be yet another limitation on some of the poorest in society while governments hypocritically spout propaganda about "supporting" people and "safety nets". In contrast, real money can be used for any purchase, which is why it is so popular and why in any crisis people eschew virtual money and demand payment in cash. There is one inescapeable conclusion about possible reasons for wanting vouchers that goes beyond simply 'giving the poor a good kicking' and that's the global leaders' obsession with getting rid of cash'

      Should continue to pay money it drives the economy with spending, vouchers do not except for the dodgy companies it will be available to be used at.

    It sounds a bit bizarre i agree DD UK. I don't see my prescription myself because my Doctor puts it through automatically and has my medication delivered directly from the pharmacists. I'm just thinking if just sending in your own written letter with all details included in the letter would cover the claimants. Due to the law, if the DWP PIP wants to claim otherwise then they would have to legally produce evidence to the contrary wouldn't they? I mean they would have to prove against your GP and your appointments and medication and other stuff wouldn't they?

      They also don’t tell you in person that you can say “ no I can’t do that, as in the touch your toes part” I refuse to do in person assessments as they have lied in so many of mine.

  • @donnawing4492

    They want hospital and Gp results and letters but not planned appointment letters as that doesn’t give any clinical information. Results are the same eg scan results give what has been found but a planned appointment for the scan gives no useful evidence.
    A prescription repeat list also gives evidence but a copy of a one off script doesn’t give the full picture
    I have always given the things they are asking for
    With the smaller box. Type it and then cut and stick it onto the form!

  • @garycroft8213

    When it comes to PIP I wouldn't be so sure that 'less is more' and this could be an attempt to reduce information to suppress useful evidence.
    At renewal/reassessment there should be a pragmatic process e.g. for chronic or worsening conditions the feasibly of the award being reduced or withdrawn should be near zero (it could even go higher award), for conditions that may be recoverable e.g. acute for a period of time then reassessment is more credible.

    • @DynamicDuoUK

      I've always strongly believed it's best to send as much evidence as possible. However, if they are now stating not to do that, it makes me worried a little bit that they are trying to reduce people's benefit by not giving enough information 👀

    The summary of a patient’s record is really easy to acquire and it’s way more than a doctor’s letter, private clinics also require this summary and it usually contains all the info the dwp or whoever requires. It’s also much much quicker and easier for the patient to get this from the surgery themselves because the surgery’s don’t respond as quickly to the dwp and private clinics etc. They’re bust so they put their patients before the dwp so it’s def easier and quicker for us to get it.

    There millions probably billions of unclaimed benefits, everyone is entitled to live with the basic essentials. Its notyour conditions, its how they effect you. If you need help or prompting, or are not motivated to do most things your entitled.
    They want us all relying on benefits mostly, so you will get it using rhe right key words.
    They are not cancelling things or making it hard, they are encouraged to give people pip. Its getting easier not harder, its just a long shitty process, but perseverance prevails.

  • @PaddyInf
    @PaddyInf 3 месяца назад +2

    I think your GP may be telling porkies re. never being contacted by DWP. They don't send out little personalised letters for each claimant, but they send out hundreds of forms requesting information from GPs every day. For ESA/UC for example, most claimants have an ESA/UC113 form sent to GPs to request further info. I can only assume PIP has something similar.
    The fact sheet thing us because the staff do know about the conditions. Remember, they assess people with with these conditions and medications dozens of times a week. They dont need hundreds of little advice sheets for paracetamol.

      Never had ANY PIP advisors with any experience EVER EVERY assessor has LiED on my assessment write ups at the last assessment. I just told DWP to forget about the assessor and take me to court. Court is no longer scary to me no point having the assessment if they are paid bonuses to lie. I will be doing the same again next year. It costs the DWP money to take a person to court so I have decided to call there bluff and play them at there own game. Had enough of the assessors not writing down what I say and adding bits I never even said. BUT I do suggest to EVERYONE RECORD your interviews you have NO obligation that to tell the assessor that you are doing so either. That is how you catch them out.
