The same thing happened to me during a “vote” for the best Berrics Bounty trick. When the bounty was bigspin hurricane I was put into the honorable mentions for doing it on a ledge with an extra fakie bigspin out. I will admit, my submission was not the best one, but I had a lot of people in the chat voting for me. There were so many messages voting for me so I should have at least gotten some recognition for it, but just like this situation, Berra voted and thus overpowered everyone else’s votes, even though it was supposed to be a “chat votes” type of deal. All he did was say my name when it was in the chat and voted for somebody else himself. I should have at least gotten some recognition for not only 1 upping the original bounty but also being the youngest person in that group to do the trick (age 14). I’m not salty or anything but it sucks what happened to your friend and it sucks that we’re all getting screwed over. Again, I don’t have anything against Barra or the Berrics or anything like that, but I do think he should have stuck to his word and let the chat vote like he said. :/

I see the point made here, but I'm looking at it the same way Steve probably is - your friend has some crazy flat ground tricks, but he clearly is not at the level of BTB. His style, pop, stance, use of pressure flips(?) etc indicate this. As a fan of BTB, I want to see good games and guys go trick for trick. And this is probably what Steve is thinking in real time here. I don't think Steve is trying to be unfair to people, he honestly seems to be wanting to put forward the best most consistent skaters to get the best games. Try looking at it from the reverse perspective and youre the other skater. You're clearly the better skater and have a chance of actually competing in BTB, but you didn't make it in because you're opponent rallied 15 of his friends to join an app and vote?? That seems more unjust to me. Also, in a textual reading of the rules, it says "you get to vote on your favorite submissions", it doesn't say anything about you getting to decide the winner. Talent and Idol shows do this all the time.. they allow the audience and viewers to vote on their favorites, but ultimately winners are chosen by the Judges.. You're friend is a beast, but I don't see anything unfair or shady here. Steve is getting pretty weird though and probably shouldn't be the one doing these videos because of his weirdness and inability to host/judge.

He would call people sexist BUT when you looked at the posts where he HAPPENED to upload a girl who legit SHREDS that just happens to not be super pretty it was all positive feedback. But what this dude would do is upload like 30 videos of thirst trap girls who could barely skate when people were asking for the girls who deserved the exposure to be uploaded. It was legit such a damn mess. This man legit needs to be pushed out of the business.
