Those Cartiers and Piagets are cool because not everyone wears them. And Piaget is way better than Hublot, they are technologically impressive

Tbh mate this collection looks more mature than most. Instead of chasing what is hyped/fashionable his collection includes watches of horological provenance and what matches with his style. Its a very classy collection. Def not what I expected from a younger actor. I suspect his preference for cartier comes from his family (the must de he was wearing likely comes from his grandpa)

Nico calling Tom's Piagets boring is like.... bro.... one of them is an asymmetrical AND naked dial, and the other is a skeleton and THAT'S boring? I would tend to think boredom is more like a rapper owning 5 Rolexes and 10 slightly different Royal Oaks, or even Tom owning 2 slightly different versions of the Aquanaut, but nope, it's the Piaget. Come on Nico.

@@JessMan508 The thing is, a watch dealers perception is colored by day to day trading of watches, which is mostly hype and mainstream popularity (because thats what sells and therefore makes a dealer money)

The margins that grey-market watch dealers make are extremely thin - so even if it looks like they're rich with these expensive watches in their possession (for a short period of time), the actual profit they make on the deals are very small.
I actually love this collection. Possibly my favorite collection Nico has reviewed so far.
I can't hate when people do something unique and different, fair play to Tom Holland! Not a fan of his watches myself, but I have to respect that he's keeping his integrity and wearing what he likes, the watch world needs more of that.

The Cartier Santos is such an iconic watch! The design is definitely something that stands out.
Definatly, going to be my first luxury watch, and probobly my only for a very long time as I am quite the avarage joe.

As a ceramics expert, its gonna take a special whack to scratch but not shatter the ceramic they use for bezels
That’s interesting, are the ceramic they use on the watches different than what’s used on tilies for flooring

This can be terracotta or clay which can be scratched by an iron nail, or aluminium oxide or silicon nitride which you need a diamond or another very hard ceramic to scratch.

Those piaget watches are fucking class. I tried an antiplano skeleton at a boutique and this is one of the best watches I have ever seen, including Vacherons and Pateks.
My dream watch is the Cartier Santos in full steel. just really appealing to look at to me. Its a goal of mine to later own one for myself😍

I just thought about how I wished you’d make a video about Tom Holland yesterday… and here we are. GOD TIER TIMING!!!
I understand that not everyone loves piaget but as a watch brand it is an extremely importante and impressive. The altiplano ,which is the watch nico was commenting, is a testament to that. If we were talking about the polo (which is an imitation of the nautilus) I would sort of understand the comparison to hublot.
Finally something quite different, I myself don't often see Piagets.

Ultrathin Piaget is fucking cool. Way cooler than most of boring Rolexes. I can easily afford Rolexes (including my yellow gold 116508 Daytona), but I would exchange all three of them for the Altiplano Ultimate Concept.

You should (definitely) do a reaction video to the watches owned by Saul “Canelo” Álvarez! He’s a renowned Mexican boxing fighter that has an expensive collection of RM’s, Rolex, AP’s, among other.
Why buy a Piaget when you can get an other shitty rolex that everybody wear and is the most counterfeited watch in the world. Why buy something that make sense to collect as a watch lover and not be another rolex deepthroather.

I’d say that from a historical perspective Cartier and Piaget are waaaaaay more important than any of the modern Rolexes or the Aquanaut (which is a boring abnormality that shouldn’t be).

Diverse watch collection is way more interesting then a 3 million dollar watch that looks the same as a 50k watch, I like his collection better then most. Others have to much of the same style watch. No diversity.

the IFL watch is a £110 watch repainted and sold for insane markup. The painting is good so if its what you like then obviously purchase it. just be aware that it is a cheaper watch being sold for a shitload more

I love my Cartier Drive! I have the moon phases in steel. I got it to commemorate the super blue blood moon (which only happens once every 150 years) falling on my birthday and getting to see it.

Drive de Cartier did actually get discontinued this year so you're not wrong that it didn't sell much. I think there are some beautiful models in the collection, but the collection as a whole had an identity crisis.
UPDATE: Wait, I'm wrong. The collection disappeared from the Cartier website for a while but now it's back. Weird. Either way, I do feel like I've seen them deprioritize it lately.
Is the Drive collection really discontinued? I still find them in the European store, can you link me something?
@@marco16295 oh wait they're back, that's weird. There was a period of a few months where on the US Cartier website they no longer listed the line, which is what happened with the Calibre collection. But now it's back. Weird.
I do know that in the Cartier boutiques I've seen it very deprioritized lately though.
@@sylinmino recently bought a Santos blue dial at Cartier and my salesman said the Drive has been discontinued. Oddly enough they are still for sale on Cartier’s website.

Isn't that a Santos Dumont Skeleton? The regular Santos Skeleton would still have the screws on top, which is something I hate (they are always misaligned!). Love that one though.

I’m a fan of the Cartier Santos ADLC - the all black seems to add that extra something and versatility, and as I’m not a fan of a pure dress watch that the other Santos seem to be IMO.

Piaget is not on the same level as hublot. They push the envelope on what’s possible with mechanical watches and true in house movement.
