I hated my father. I prayed for help because I couldn't focus on work and was debilitated for years with adhd. When I prayed, I received a letter that I was accepted to receive a family doctor, and he assessed me and prescribed Vyvanse. This reduce anxiety I didn't even know I had. I continued to pray and found a therapist. I learned coping skills like the third critic - identifying that I am not my thoughts and extremely negative delusions are not me, i am just an observer of them. Gods love will never abandon us and we are worthy of forgiveness. The Holy Spirit is in us and as we must love others as we'd love ourselves, we must learn to love and forgive ourselves. I love my father and I forgave him, and I love god who forgives me.
