The nerf was so unnecessary. Not everyone is the 1% like Kenzo. Now she dies if people sneeze on her. If they are gonna lessen her HP, they should at least make her hook cool down lower so she can try and escape more.

@@nursescure but she needs to shoot before and you can clearly tell when she has rail, don’t get me wrong she’s busted as hell but a widow from a mile away one tapping you is way more sudden and a lot less predictable.
@@greenpig1175Sojourn is definitely much stronger than Widow. There’s a reason why OWL league has the entire meta revolving around Sojourn and not Widow. Also Sojourn’s Rail Gun hitbox is way WAY bigger so that means more one taps than Widow.

Widow needs a nerf but bc her skill floor is already so high, they don’t wanna bc it makes it hard for new players to pick her up.. I ain’t complaining tho, being able to one shot most of the enemy team is so fun

I don't even care about 5v5, the implications in widowHS are where it's at.
I don't understand why everyone, talking about the need to nerf the widow, even mentions sojourn and ashe, but no one remembers hanzo. it is easier to hit on hanzo, he is much more mobile and can defend himself better, he also kills with one shot. don't they take him at high ranks?
because he is not hitscan and it really isnt "easier" to consistently hit 1 shots as hanzo compared to widow or sojourn. if the enemy you are shooting at knows you are shooting at them, then the consistency of getting a headshot with hanzo goes down dramatically while the others don't have this issue because they are hitscans. you can literally dodge hanzo arrows by seeing the projectile coming at you from a distance where as the other don't have this problem. hanzo needs to predict where they will move to, to get headshot kills when the enemy is aware of it. if you look at GM/ top 500 there is only a handful of players who have mastered hanzo and his prediction shots to be able to keep up with other hitscan characters that dominate the elo.

No, they reduced her back to her nerfed health from OW1. Her original health for the vast majority of time in OW1 was 200 before they nerfed her.

Bro what difference does health make on a widowmaker?? The thing that makes widowmaker impossible to play against is she can camp 1000m from her team and one shot anyone that comes into her field of vision. A sniper of that caliber should not exist in this game. Give her 300hp for all I care, just take away her one shot.
but that would be pointless for how the character was supposed to be, they are an assassin sniper. but I get what ur saying, as a widow main this nerf is actually good now if a Winton dives I lit have to run away, or ill die. and if there is an enemy Widow with that Winton im for sure dead too much pressure! idk i thought she was still balanced before since she technically had a bunch of counters idk tho im happy where they at now i have accepted the nerf.

I was playing as widow like a day or so ago and the enemy team had a cass that would only fan or throw his stun and he would come after me and each time he got rolled then proceeded to rage at the end saying I was cheating and what not. I'm on console by the way and I play on linear so I don't have to deal with heavy aim assist

Which means dive tanks are back on top now. winston and ball can so easily kill widow now if they play right and now that sombra is buffed as well, while widow health got nerfed, all of them can easily 1v1 kill widow now. But ofc its up to the players to make these choices to focus her, if left uncontensted then obviously she'll still be as strong as before.

I see the nerf as healthy bc she was so oppressive before and often escaped situations with low HP that she shouldnt otherwise be escaping. She is still strong with her 1 shot potential but now she cant be as greedy as other characters. That and for certain characters her small hitbox is still quite an issue so now they wont have to fight quite as hard and in lower ranks where people miss a lot more, itll be a bit easier

@@kikxio hanzos one shot is much different then widows, as she is a hit scan and his attacks are projectiles. Due to the completely different nature of how they are done it wouldnt make sense to remove his one shot

@@kikxio if you remove one shot from hanzo the character is quite literally dead. he doesn't have a lot going for him to begin with other than his primary fire one shot. if hanzo was that bad then obviously people would have asked for him to be nerfed in higher elo but hanzo can barely even keep up with hitscans in higher elos unless you've mastered his projectiles and prediction shots.

i dont care what anyone says, her nerf was absolutely hogwash and the only way this makes sense is if they cut her grapple cd in half
They did at one point during OW1, her CD was changed to 8secs. They realized how busted it was changed it 10secs then went back to 12. There’s only two ways to counter a Widow, you out widow her or you dive her. Her hook CD being that low makes it incredibly hard to dive her.
