Thanks for being there, albeit 4000 miles away, the music brings instant mojo building.I can drum on those rhythms on my new bongo drums. thoughtful Christmas gift from a daughter. Wont be same time as the uke. Thanks for one of my old favs from Eric,
Last year when I started playing ukulele, I printed off a mandala design with 1,000 spaces to color in. I color one space for every hour I practice. It’s a great incentive to keep going when I get frustrated. It’s super for my confidence watching the design fill up with colors. Plus I figure after 1,000 of practice I should be pretty good! I think your goals chart is a fantastic idea!
WOW - That is awesome! I love that concept and how it integrates visual arts too! 😀 Would you be able to email me a PDF of it? I’d happily exchange one of my books/courses for you. If it’s not a PDF, maybe just a picture of it so I can get an idea of it? Message at www.stufuchs.com/contact Happy playing! 😊🤙🎶🙏
Hi Stu... My music goal for 2024 is simply to learn to actually play ukulele. I know some chords and scales, but I can't seem to turn that in to actual music. Can't decide if I'm not musically able, or whether my depressive mindset holds me back... Where should I start?
If you love music and you have your own ukulele, you can totally learn to play. I recommend checking out some of the videos on my channel… I have playlist set the homepage that you can enjoy many of them are slow paced and Will guide you clearly and with a friendly, non-competitive attitude. Thanks for watching & happy playing! Stu
Dear Stu, It's a while since I've been here for a full lesson. Had to drop out a while back as I have been learning other instruments so only so much time in a day. Recently I found some notes from years ago on a scrap of paper. They were from one of your lessons on the pentatonic. So I thought I'd paste them into a book I have especially for your lessons. So how timely is this! Well, that's what they say - the teacher will appear......I'll get the course and hopefully be able to abandon my scrappy notes. I hope I can get back to more uke playing. By the way, love the hair. you've got a lovely natural wave - looks great. xx
Wow - what timing! You found those notes right on time! Glad to hear from you and thank you for joning in this lesson Carmel :-) Have a good time getting back into your playing...if you pick up the course, enjoy and thank you...Play on!
Happy new year Tommy! On the day I got a cut my neck was a little bit chilly I have to say ;-) wishing you, Anita and your whole family our blessings for the new year. I hope I make it back to Switzerland someday!
Thanks for coming back! I absolutely love to know that folks are returning for more study… That is the exact intention I create these videos for. Happy, jamming, and happy day to you!
…hi Stu, have a great start this year. Thank you very much for this lesson and the information about the vidami looper. I've been watching a lot of the RUclips page "HawaiiMusicSupply" lately. Ukuleles are presented here. I particularly like Corey and Kalei playing technique. They are such great players. My wish for 2024 would be to learn this playing technique. Another favorite playing technique is that of Kimo Hussey. You, dear Stu, are the inspiration for me into this fantastic world of ukulele music. Your lessons have prepared me for a lot to date, thank you very much. It's going to be a never-ending journey and I'm really just getting started. C'ya Gyani
Thanks Gyani -- yes, they are fantastic musicans indeed. I'll check 'em out some more for sure! The journey is endless, but if we enjoy it, then let it be endless, eh? All the best, Stu
I love that rumba strum. Thank you. That’s my goal this month. Could you in future Stu look at a simple rumba tune with chords for this strum for us to work on. You are a great teacher 😁👏
I was waaay slow on getting to this one but am glad I finally got here. Headed over to get your Pentatonic Course as learing pentatonic scales is my New Year's Goal. How serendipitous! Hope you have a great year. You helped make my last one pretty swell.
