“Who The HELL Do You Think You Are?” | Julia Hartley-Brewer’s FURIOUS Clash With Vegan Campaigner

- Britons are eating less meat than at any point since the 1970s as the cost of living crisis and the rise of veganism and vegetarianism lowers demand.
Consumption at home fell 12.5 per cent to an average of 854g a week in the year to March 2022, down from 976g the previous year and 949g in the year before the pandemic, according to new figures.
TalkTV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer clashes with animal rights campaigner Nathan McGovern over plant-based diets.
She rants: “The majority of people in this country eat meat. Who the hell do you think you are?”
Nathan counters: “It’s just happening Julia, you have to deal with it!”

Why don’t students just get on with their studies nowadays instead of trying to tell the rest of us how to live our lives.
Hes not really a student. He is a Mi6 shill.
Because they're out of their depth at University and can't face their parents to tell them they're too stupid. So they focus on things where they don't have to use their brain, and are based on delusion and stupidity.
Most of them do.
They have no purpose, their degrees and futures are worthless and empty, so they concern themselves with role-play fantasy craziness.
Why? Well, could it be that some degree courses don't occupy or stretch their minds enough?

So why are we not allowed to have an opinion about how millions of farm animals are treated? I am pretty sure that if I opened a dog slaughterhouse there would be plenty crying their outrage over it. Fishing out the sea is much worse and cruel than farming.
@@MrDenzal27 Although I love a nice bit of cod or Salmon, I have to agree, but not for the same reasons. Back in the day, British fisherman used nets where the whole size of the net was such that the small fish, prawns and crabs got through. Only the larger fish got caught. When we joined the EEC, we opened up our fishing grounds to the French and Spanish boats whose net hole sizes were much smaller. Everything got caught! And with the stupid quotas, so much fish was thrown back, dead. The whole eco system is destroyed. Not to mention the Korean or Chinese boats. The Dutch used two super trawlers with a monstrous large net trawled between them. How there are any fish left in the North Sea is beyond me. As a kid when I visited our local fish quay the fish were big, now the boxes with big fish are fewer and fewer. At least livestock farming is selective, and animals on the whole are well looked after.

It’s not because we’re falling out of love with meat, it’s because it’s getting too dam expensive to buy. Example a leg of lamb cost over £35.00.
The reduction is mainly down to cost. I have actually increased my meat consumption for health reason, but then, I was taught to cook real food as a child back in the 50s. I can, therefore, make delicious meals out of the cheaper cuts of meat. Here a slow cooker, a variety of spices and marinading for 24 hours adds even more tenderness and flavour. Had a bottle of spiced wine left over from last Christmas, mad e an excellent marinade although I usually make up my own with red wine and apple cider vinegar well spiced.

All insect life is obliterated so that the crops can GROW, which means insect life etc is affected, in turn our wildlife, birds, bees, rodents etc. These numtees don't care about that, they think no further than their nose, just because they go to University they think know IT ALL!!!!
@@ferdinandaltmann3835Wrong. Most of the land is for soy. Where does that go? Majority is for cheap seed oils 🤦🏻♂️
@@ferdinandaltmann3835 not sure where you get your facts from. . . cows eat... wait for it... grass!!. sheep eat... wait for it .... grass!!. grass land is not farm land. how much land do you think we'll need to create to farm enough vegetables and mammary inducing soy, to feed a country of 70 million?
Plant based food still takes land up more do probably than cows
Imagine the outcry if you forced all everyone to eat meat!
When I had a major surgery, I had a vital organ removed, I was told I NEEDED to eat meat. As much as possible so I could heal better and faster. They said that the protein was imperative to recover. It was the worst surgical experience I've ever had. I feel the need to let people know what I was told by my surgeon and the nursing staff and the nurses that came to my home for after care. Meat might save your life. Thank you cows, you not only fed me but you helped to heal me. I'm thankful for our animals and for their role on this planet.
I bet this guy is all for womens choice for abortion!! Make THAT make sense.
What organ?
God gave all things for us to eat, and we are to thank Him in prayer for such.
How can something that doesn't exist give you something?
@@Richard482 Someone not something.
@@theophobia-uk If God is a person, he's one of the most evil and sadistic bastards to ever exist.
@@Richard482 Really, so God, (who created all things, the very same who became the son man , Jesus the Christ, the one who paid the dept for your sin and mine upon the cross, so that anyone who believes in Him today, will have their sins forgiven, become a new creation and receive the gift of eternal life) gets to be called a bad name. God knows who you are and all that you have done and will ever do. One day you will stand before Him and you can tell Him what you think of Him then. Trust me, it won't end well in fact it won't end at all because every soul will live for eternity it's just a question of where.
No meat is lovely
And that guest is a weirdo
That is all
No meat is lovely?
Its very expensive to eat meat now.
I Ssill wouldn't switch from eating meat.
Plant based protein is FAR less bioavailable than meat based protein. If you look up the most nutrient dense foods, it's things like salmon, beef, organ meat, and eggs.
Ask him if he thinks we should continue to use artificial (chemical) fertilizer (which we do now, incidentally, to produce the vast amount of grain and other crops from the bread-baskets of the world) to grow all this plant-based food. He can't say yes, obviously, because this is not deemed "green"; the production of chemical fertilizers such as ammonium nitrate, sulphate of potash and superphosphate is energy intensive and creates high levels of emissions. So he can only say no, in which case he is an idiot and has not thought his arguments through. The ring through his nose says it all, really.
how are they going to grow a vegan diet on land that is not going to be fertilised by animals and oil based fertiliser.
They won't and we will starve.
Not all protien is the same. There are also other nutrients in meat.
I'm glad Benedict shaved off that HORRID moustache he used to have.
I can tell you from experience that steak is like a wonder drug. Since I switched to a carnivore diet I have much more energy, I'm more alert and physically in much better shape.
I can relax now, there isn’t a climate crisis, thanks Julia 🎉
Well if you were well informed enough you would agree with her, unfortunately you have listen ed to the multi BILLION dollar green industry narrative. Also the global temp has only gone up one degree in 100 years as we are in fact coming out of a minor Ice Age.
I think the British public want to be told what to eat by anybody, never mind students at any university, just who the hell do these people think they are???
Yes, how dare they have an opinion on environmental, social or political issues. Anyone would think that university is for enlightened thinkers. Send them straight to the Gulag! 🙄
You do relies the people are only not vegan due to the promotion of meat, eggs, fish and milk, by the meat, egg and dairy industries. They spend billions each year telling you to eat their products. Meat is also heavily subsidies by the Government, to make it more affordable. Just look at farms across the country, most are just covered in Sheep all funded by the taxpayer. This land could be used for growing veggies!
When families and communities grow their own food and/or have local farms that supply local bakeries and butchers etc none of what they mention is a problem. Animals are treated with respect, Food is organic, the land is healthy, and supply perfectly balances with demand.
All of the issues mentioned are caused by industrialized farming.
It's about time we closed down the university's and made these students work for a living instead of hiding behind their so called education. Bring back apprenticeships and the national service. Then they will learn to respect other people and themselves.
