- Julia Hartley Brewer shuts down Insulate Britain's Tracey Mallaghan.
Environmental protesters blocked The Mall outside Buckingham Palace in a demonstration against new fossil fuel licences.
Around two dozen activists in high-visibility orange vests sat in the road holding Just Stop Oil banners on Monday morning.
Police at the scene said they made 25 arrests after disruption lasting just over two hours.
The protesters, who travelled from Scotland, said they felt the need to act after the UK Government gave its backing in September to an expansion of oil and gas operations in the North Sea.
The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) is expected to undertake a new round of oil and gas licensing this month.

This is science's equivalent of 'the emperor's new clothes'. CO2 is a trace gas in our atmosphere. Everyone should do his own research into how the carbon scare started, how much CO2 is in our atmosphere and what is mankind's percentage contribution towards it. My late father was a very ill man. He was registered disabled but always felt he couldn't do tasks publicly that he was capable of because he worried it appeared he was lying about his conditions . This woman has no shame .

When you see people like Tracy living off benefits/ the labour of other people, you know that it is far too easy to get dissability benefits in the first place. She is quite capable of getting a job but chooses to not to, how useless is the system in the first place when this kind of laziness is rewarded!
If she is capable of going down to support these idiots lying in the road she is capable of working,perhaps she should be reassessed for her disability benefits,it’s those people that are being stopped from getting to work that pay for her benefits or hasn’t she the Brains to realise that.

I think that this woman could be correct when she says that we must insulate our homes more efficiently. I however cannot afford to do this, but am perfectly willing to do so provided this female personally pays for it, instead of putting the onus on the normal tax payer. I await her generous cheque!

When I was a kid (one of 5) we had no central heating. Incredibly, we survived. It’s now unusual not to have central heating. The poorest have mobile phones. We’ve got richer.

Not true for everyone. For the poorest 50% incomes have not moved for about 30-40 years. This is likely due to right wing economic theory, advocated by the rich and powerful, like people like Brewer; people who get support from people like you... it's a mess.
The trouble we have is that these ban everything groups know how far they can go because the law has treated them so leniently that it’s nearly tea and biscuits. Pulling down statues, sitting on public roads, pouring milk over shop floors is a criminal offence .
