I admit I was a not too excited about this album after hearing a couple of the early releases, but after living with it for a couple of months I like it a lot. I think 7 Sinners was better, but I'm willing to let them go where their muse takes them. One of Helloween's endearing qualities is that they try to keep things positive (refreshing in today's music) and don't take themselves too seriously.

I really love Helloween, but I might skip this new album. None of the singles I've heard have interested me at all. The songs are all pretty meh, and then the lyrics to this and the first single are legitimately embarrassing. I'm sorry, but did you just use the phrase "as fresh as a daisy" in your chorus? I honestly could not blast that in my car and not feel super embarrassed. Sorry Helloween. Maybe next time.
Set Abominae Nah. They always seem to have one of these feel good tracks lately. If it is meant to be the big track that is supposed to get everyone to buy the album, then it might be time to worry. But there are always a couple duds (at least the past 15 or so years). It's not bad, but obviously not the best that they've put out. The last album was probably their worst offering, with only a handful of good songs. Hopefully this new release won't fall in to that category. If so, I will have to start worrying like I did with Megadeth not too many years ago.
Set Abominae I just listened to all 17 tracks and I have to agree with you. This one sounds a little too happy and fluffy for my tastes. It seems like every other album of theirs I just can't get into. I was kind of hoping that they would continue more in the same vein as Straight out of Hell but I guess its not a big surprise that they didn't. Some fans like this side of Helloween while others like myself prefer them when they're kept away from the valium.

Come on man, don't take
it so seriously. The song is fun and the lyrics are fun too. I personally think the best Helloween release is WoJ but that doesn't mean I feel embarassed in any way to listen this tune at louder volume in my car. Not for this and not for other tunes (be it bm, dm, hm or garrage rock). The magic in music is given by variety and you should not give a shit what others think of you as long as you really like the sound in it. Cheers!

Helloween is Hardly metal anymore. This is not going to be a very good album. Change up the guitars and stop making everything sound the same
