Does this mean I'm now a youtube qualified electrician? :D The bike is still working anyway and hasn't burnt down sooooo....yay? :D I think this winter I'm going to strip the Magna completely and re powder coat the frame and get it properly cleaned up.
Good work lad! Maggie needs some good lovin’...glad to see you’re planning on stripping her down for powder-coat & clean up. It’s a beauty of a bike and deserving of a good attentive owner. I love the noise off of her. What a machine!
Danke! She does indeed, I wanted to do it last winter but didn't have two pennies to rub together so this winter it's a go hopefully! It is indeed, I really hope I can do a full rebuild and respray and the lot :)
Always good to see Maggie getting some tlc and to hear that gorgeous noise. She’s like one of those bikes that get under your skin and you’re never 100% percent sure when it happened. I was just watching Motodragon’s latest video last night. You two are a bad influence on each other 🤣. I’m old and I’ve reached a point in my life where I’ve come to the realisation that pretty much everything out there is considerably more solid than I am so I tend to take things a little more gently these days lol. Another cracking video 👌🏻. Ride Safe Brother 🙏🏻
I have a raw sound video of her coming soon, the noise is bloody beautiful if I do say so myself! Haha she is indeed, I do know tbh, the first time I turned the key :D Haha we are, I still have to do my edit of that video :P I shouldn't be allowed to ride that MT10 tbh! Ah yes, I realised how very fragile I am as a human a bit ago, I carry too many injuries these days :D Thanks TBR :) You too bud!
Great video brother! I personally love your randomness. Looks like a job well done on Maggie! As for what to call the cbr, that a good question. I know if it was me I would call the gxsr “Gypsy”. Catch you on the next one. Stay safe out there and keep the shiny side up!

Well done on the electrical fix :-) Audio is aces, I can't be doing with the faffery of running an audio recorder except where I have to, but it does sound so much better
Thanks Pete :) Yeah I'd like to eventually go with the brick it's just how to waterproof it all and make it reliable :) Yeah and it's made my editing a lot easier in comparison to recording to my phone :)
Honda twins of a certain vintage have notorious charging problems, all down to bad reg/rec. Had same with Africa twin 750 and deauville 650. The engine just revs too slow to charge properly compared to a 4 or a single. Pans are also known for a "red plug issue" where the plug from reg/rec to loom just melts. We wait to see what problems the new generation of Honda reveal.
You'd think the V4 would be fine tho it usually sits high enough in the revs, minimum 4k. I know it's a Honda issue in general, apparently my CBF has the same issue so I'll expect it to crop up at some point too! I'm not overly bothered by this one, 30 years + is pretty good for a part like that I think 😂 Hoepfully I won't have any loom melting issues 😳 Yes indeed it's always a waiting game with brand new bikes.

The GorillaBiker Apparently Circle K is bad like Applegreen, this came from a driver who delivers the fuels to garages. A good few have messaged me on it in a bikes group.
Well done an all, it's a charging! one thing though, you should remove the negative terminal first.. and also, one more thing, the next time the reg goes, you should look into a mosfet replacement. also also, it's important that it bolts onto the frame really well for heat dissipation or it'll blow again real soon.. irc there was also a trick with a grounding wire direct from the reg to the negative batt skipping the starter block connector which vastly prolonged the life of the poor little Honda regs...
It is indeed thank god! :D No issues now since I did this switcheroo. Ahhhh yes....this is why I have to warn people I'm stupid :D I usually do it right, brain fart :P Ah will do! I might pre-empt the CBF and just change it for one of those, they look good! Doesn't seem to be one available for the Magna! Ah I must look into that too, every little helps!
