    for the record, make sure you stay with earlier versions like 11.5. the newer versions like 12.9 only seem to allow you to do one resizing, and then force you to buy pro version. so when you resize your first partition to make space, the second attempt to reclaim that space for another partition is impossible. attempting it only opens a "buy the pro version if you want to use this more than once", effectively taking your disk hostage and locking you out of that disk space until you find another program/version.

      i am looking for a decent hdd regenerator for win 10 anybody know something like that?

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  7 лет назад

      Are you looking to recover data? Or are you looking to just repair bad sectors on the drive? A bit more info would be helpful.
      If you are just trying to repair bad sectors. You may want to use something along the lines of crystaldiskinfo to see if you are getting a warning from high bad sector counts. It would be awful to have your drive die out of the blue one day.
      As far as recovery of data goes. I would use recuva it is free and does do a decent job. There are many free programs that do.
      As for repair. Open up a command prompt (CMD) and type the letter of your drive you want to work on. Such as F: or G: and hit enter.
      from there type chkdsk /f /r and hit enter.
      it will go through 5 stages and repair what it can. Note if it is on the drive you are running windows on. It will have you restart the computer and it will run at startup.
      I really hope this helps. If I got you completely wrong then just let me know what it is exactly you are needing. And I will try to help. :)

      i suspect i have bad sectors, cuz my hdd is making funny noises and my comp freezes for 1-2 seconds, especially when i play starcraft 2, or any other games.
      not annoyingly often, but still.

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  7 лет назад +1

      Oh man I hate to say this. But the noises factor if coming from your drive could mean it is failing. See ruclips.net/video/DtZw58sDjrs/видео.html for a more in depth look at hard drive sounds.
      You could use crystaldiskinfo to get a glimpse at your drive. As well as running a test with western digital hdd diag (can test any brand).
      Speedfan is also a great tool as it will let you see the temp of your system and your hdd.
      I would back up your data before running any test though. If it is failing you can clone your drive to a new one. So you lose nothing and it would be quicker.
      If your drive turns out to be fine. It may be fan sounds and you may want to blow out your system with compressed air or a air compressor.
      opening command prompt and running chkdsk /f /r will check the disk for errors and try to repair what it can. You also may have infections and temp files slowing the system down. An overall maintenance job is what you need it sounds like.

    hi...i m facing some problem like when i open this software and right click on any drive then it shows all the options which should be shown but as soon as i unallocated the space and right click on C drive (windows drive) to extend the space with this unallocated space there is only 3 options like check partition, explore partition and view properties....the resize/move partition option will get disappear every time.....
    so pls help me how to resolve it....

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  7 лет назад +3

      Try hitting apply and doing one task at a time. It may not be extending because you have not applied the deletion on the partition yet. So it does not see any free space to extend into. A screen shot would be helpful if this does not take care of your problem.

    Good day, I was able to create Unallocated space which is an option on the slider bar when I go to my D drive but not shown as an option on my C drive.

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  6 лет назад

      Good day to you as well. The way you pose your question throws me off a bit. What I am getting from it and I may be wrong but you are saying you are able to resize your D: partition but not resize your C: partition.
      If that is correct and you can not resize your C: partition it is more than likely full and does not have enough free space for you to resize the partition to create unallocated space.
      Now I tend to remove any extra partition if a person is in dire need of space. Not everyone uses the features that come with that added partition most of the time. And that can sometimes give you a bit more space to work with.
      Just be mindful that you are looking at the partition letters correctly and check the files on them. To make sure you are not accidently removing your partition with your OS on it.
      I do hope I helped.

    hi,i tried what you did in the video and successfully created a new partition of my 915 G byte Hard disk. I made it 100 G byte partition so the original patition became 815 G byte size. I tried to repeat this again to create another 150 G byte partition but unfortunately thr electricity cut off during the process.When i opened it again i found that the 815 G byte partition became 650 G byte but the EasyUs program tells me that the space is still 850 G byta not 650 G byte .So i lost 100 G byte and do not know . where they have gone.HELP PLEASE

      Ahmed Abdellatif power outage during a disk Management process always sucks. OK let's assume the drive is not damaged.
      you need to check the disk for errors. using command prompt run chkdsk /f /r
      or you can use easus to recover the partition or to scan for errors.
      if you have the storage space I would back up all data and maybe clone the os if there is one
      and just wipe the drive setting it to defaults.
      buy a ups so that when power goes out your system will stay online long enough for you to finish and shutdown properly.
      good luck!

      ...After what setting? If your system is having issues after resizing a partition. a couple of things may be the issue. You may have had infections on your system, your drive may not be healthy, you left 0 free space on your C: partition and now it has no room to function.
      I would suggest booting into safe mode and see if you can get into windows. If you can open a command prompt and run chkdsk /r
      After it runs and your system starts run sfc /scannow
      After that start in on a virus removal session.
      Also you may want to check the health of your hard drive. It is never good to start in on working with partitions if your drive is failing.

      Yes all you have to do using this software is slide the slider down freeing up as much space as you want untill the C: partition is 100GB. when you apple the changes and your system restarts. Let the program do its thing. You will be left with your c: paritition and the rest will be unallocated.
      to use it for storage be sure to apply a drive letter to the space so that you will be able to manage it.

  • @cybercitizen8357

    I know how to use the software but i just wanted to see how you explained it (as there are so many uploads of different info for various sottware that is just totally wrong informational BS). I have just 3 comments to make.
    1) Your simple use of easy to understand grammatical terms/terminology was great; something a good many other RUclips Info-Jocks would do well to listen to for delivery style of clarity, pace etc. etc...
    2) Unfortunately (and it may/may not have been) it was all just a visual blur and I could see nothing of your screen visual. It was only when you flipped back to you desktop that everything was of crystal clear sharpness (nothing to do with my end as i'm a tech geek and i checked :) it).
    3) Not terribly important but just a small important detail to me. You make a 'Ease-US' partition tutorial; yet you spend the first minute, or so, doing product advertising for them. Just stick to your point and let them do their own lucrative advertising! They make money from it..YOU DO NOT! :)
    Anyway Mr B. keep on doing the good you are doing...but do focus the image sharpness please.
    PS: By the way! Like me, do you think their product name is total confusing crap? 'Easy-US' or 'Easy US-age' or even 'Easy-P Utility Software' would get them across far better IMHO! (as an ex graphic designer etc.)

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  4 года назад

      Well I got the full product for free so a bit of advertising for them was the intention. They did make me an affiliate but I am awful at selling products.
      Their name is a bit confusing lol. Once had someone think I meant Asus.
      Been a bit since this video. I am not even using the same computer anymore. I try to do what I can with the tools I have. Hopefully it all gets better over time. I have a lot to work on with making the videos better.
      Thanks for the awesome well thought out comment :)

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  7 лет назад +1

      Well you wouldn't create a partition of unallocated space. That may be the problem or I may be misunderstanding. But if it is unallocated that means there is no partition. It is just free space. So if you created a partition of it. Then tried to resize your main partition. It would not work. Since there is no free space to resize.

      Depends on the speed on the drive. If it is a 4,500 rpm, 7,200 rpm, 10,000 rpm, or if you are working with an SSD.
      But I would say you are working with a typical 4,500 or 7,200 you will be sitting there a while and by a while I mean 2-3 hours maybe.
      I would start the process before you go to bed. That way it will be done when you get up in the morning.

      ?....I am taking a shot that you are asking about cloning a drive.
      When you clone a drive nothing is being "stolen". A clone is an exact copy bit by bit of one drive to another. You can always clone to a drive of the same size or bigger. But never smaller.
      In this video I was not doing this.
      I was changing partition sizes on one drive. Your partition is located on the drive. You can have multiple partitions.
      You can do this for multiboot (Using more than one OS installed to a drive) or for a dozen other reasons.

      Hi there, OK so your files like your pictures, videos, documents, all of that. Make a couple of folders to organize the files (right click and create new folder). Then navigate to your Hard Drive with the free space. Cut and paste those folders you made with all of your files over to that drive. Now you can either choose to navigate back there to mange those files when you need them. Or you can right click on a folder and create a shortcut. Then just drag the shortcut over to your desktop.
      If you would like some help with this. And a small tune up of your system let me know. I could remote in and move your files over. And then do a little system maintenance on your system. I would just leave a link behind if you felt like tipping for the help. :) Shoot me an email if you would like. jtbivens88@gmail.com

      Hey 123serpensortia. I have same problem. i know how to fix it. At the bottom there is like a box that is C:, D:, and unlocatted space. Just move the D until the Unlocatted space move to between the C and D. To move the D:, just hold and swipe it to the right. Sorry for bad English :). After you do that, just do the same way like the video do. Hope this comment helpful

      Hey thanks! I will try that whenever I need it again. I had to buy a new laptop because my old one was having various issues. But good to know. This will definitely be useful when I run out of space again!
      P.S. Your English is fine!

      You may have a failing drive or corrupted partition. Or some other reason that I can not know without seeing your screen.
      Try running cmd as admin and run chkdsk /r (you will have to reboot)
      Or create a bootable usb, cd, or dvd of seatools and run the diag to see if your HDD is failing. (it can test any brand)

      Yes I still use this program often. The others having so many issues are just not doing something right. I keep trying to help with any issues they may have. But I do believe they may be trolls. Since none of them will respond.
      There are many great free programs out there to manage partitions. But I really like this one. I have videos on others as well. Thanks for watching!

    The space I want to add to my c drive is on disk 2. Is it still possible?

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  7 лет назад +1

      Sorry bud you can not do that. Now if your Motherboard supported RAID setup you could. But only if you had it set up that way before installing Windows.
      I take it you are low on space. You could move the majority of your files to to the second HDD. And just put a link to that drive on the desktop. Also check your programs that you have installed. You may have programs you no longer need/want and could free up some space that way. And be sure to clear out your temp files. That can free up a lot of space. Hope this helps!

    Bivens PC Can u pls tell me that will I lose my data while taking out unallocated space from a drive(other than C:) having data in it? I've no space left in my C: drive... pls reply as soon as possible... Thanks in Advance.

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  6 лет назад

      OK so...your question is not 100% clear. But I will give an answer a try.
      If you have zero free space left on your C: Partition. And you try to do anything to it. Yes you will lose data.
      No you cannot take space from another drive and add it to another. Not unless you are running them in raid.
      If you have another partition probably D: if it is a store bought system. You could delete that partition and add the free space to your C: partition.
      But
      If you do that you will probably lose your system recovery options. Since most of the time they are on a separate partition.
      If you are just trying to find a way to gain back some space. I would suggest (if your disk is 100% full and you can not download anything) run disk cleanup and run the advanced option to scan for old windows update files. This can clear many gigs off of your system. From there download and run CCleaner. That will clear out more temp files freeing up space. Then go through what programs you have installed. Uninstall anything you have not been using. Move any files you do not use on a daily basis to either a flash drive, external hard drive, or even upload them to google drive or one drive or drop box.
      If you do all of that you will clear up a good chunk of space on your system.
      If by chance you are a steam player. You may need to clear your steam cache. you can do that by following these instructions.
      support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=3134-TIAL-4638
      I know it is a long response. But I do hope I answered your question :)

    hello, so when i restarted my computer it scared me because of how long and is their a way to cancel it or no, pls answer soon as possible

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  6 лет назад

      It does take a while to run. When working with partitions that is just the way it is. You can not cancel it. If you do then you will damage the partition and your system will not be usable. At least not until you format the drive again.
      It is always best to make sure your drive is healthy before working with partitions. If a drive is failing. Then you are going to have a lot of issues.

    Hi is this working to server 2012 r2? my server setup is raid5 . free space for drive C is 200gb and drive d: 2gb .. in the drive d: are installed all hyper V machine so i need to expand my drive d: asap .. Is this anyone to try for server 2012 for this software.. i dont have any backup for this server . so i need to expand the drive d:.. thanks for any suggestion ..

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  5 лет назад

      OK so first since you say you have no backup. That needs to be the first priority. You need to create a backup first. When working with partitions there is always a chance something could go wrong.
      Yes it will work with the OS. And it can resize the D: partition. Chances are you will not have any issues. But I would make a backup before working with it.

    • @JTBivens
      @JTBivens  5 лет назад

      You can not resize it if it has zero free space. Also if you are wanting to add it to your C: partition. You need to not resize it. But you need to delete that partition. Once it is removed it will be unallocated space. Then you can resize your : partition and make it larger.

    • @khloe4036

      @@JTBivens Oh ok thank you but will the whole drive be deleted? What I mean is I won't be able to use the d drive anymore?

    • @JTBivens

      D: is a partition. Unless you have 2 drives that is. Do you know if you are using more than 1 hard drive?
      What I am doing in the video above is resizing partitions on one single hard drive. So to increase the size of one partition you have to decrease or remove the other partition. But they are both on the same hard drive.
      Just each partition gets its own letter path the same way a new device would.

    this is the worse partition manager ever,if u have a gpt drive,u are stuck with the partitions u have,u can't resize them,as it claims it can,is not capable to see ext4 partitions,so,it is a really crappy partition that do less than other partition managers around that are free,u all around in youtube show only with mbr drives,those partitions are for drives til 3 tb,after that are no more mbr,are gpt drives
