Post MH3 Modern Abzan Elves (finally!) | Modern League 27/06/2024 | Match2 | Elves vs Jeskai Control

This content is to help the Elves Community and promote the archetype. I’m a passionate Modern Elves player that never stopped believing in the deck and I am not afraid to sign up for big events with it. These videos have as a goal to show different play patterns, decision trees and even my mistakes, hoping that this will help the Community to evolve, pick up the deck again and maybe experiment a bit more.
Due to rl priorities, my available time for Magic has dropped dramatically. I do try to stay up - to - date with Modern and the new releases, but I don’t have as much time to play anymore.

I’m very interested to see your list and what you’ve been testing. I’m currently using both nettle sentinel as well as devoted/vizier and I cut arch druid altogether for priest. It looks like you have 1 mainboard mirror entity as another out and option for living end? Glad to see some posts again! Thanks and best of luck to you!

I replied in your other comment about this combo. I did try nettle sentinels but they didn't work well for me. I've tried various configurations before this one and they were either unstable or a glass cannon. The Archdruid gives me a 5th priest effect that can be abused with Quirion and symbiote and it's a lord too, which is useful.

@@musagete3942Thanks for the clarification. I assume damping sphere over deafening silence because it’s more versatile for tron, along with having force and dismember for ral as well as ruby medallion?

The dismember is for anything that's a key creature. Eg Nadu

Fair enough, is gaddock teeg ever an option over the second suncleanser, it shuts off your own chords as well as opposing nadu chords etc. but it also shuts off wrath of the skies, kozileks command, etc. I’d also like to hear your opinion on tajuru preserver, whether or not it is too narrow or too slow, thank you!

Is the mirror entity also for protection on wirewood as well as vizier?

Yes it is but it's also a combo with mirror & symbiote & priest & any other elf. You creature an infinitely large attacker this way.
