Very nice video. I have a Kaweco Sport that I carry in my pocket every day. Such a good writer for $25. I’m now interested in the Lilliput and the Brass.
Very good choice of fountain pens to take with you on a trip. I am currently in Thailand North East enjoying the Jungle along the Mekong. The pens I brought are almost identical, the Kaweco Brass, the Pilot E95 s (but the black version instead of the bordeaux), the Pilot 823 brown, and my great OTTO HUTT design 04 Füllfederhalter. And I am very pleased that I can enjoy all the fountain pens in these beautiful places along with my Midori ( Travelers Notebook). Hence this event will now also be in my travel diary for 2022. Thanks Hemingway Jones for sharing this with us.
I use a grey Kaweco sport with a medium nib, and standard international cartridges available everywhere in Europe. I added a push on silver pocket clip
I have a Traveller’s Notebook brass pen which is very robust and writes very well. As a left hander it does write well. I enjoy your posts and find them most informative. Cheers
Hello HJ. All of your choices have merit to them. I have just received my home/travel pen and I feel fortunate to own one. It is the Montblanc Boheme with platinum finishes and a blue sapphire on the clip. This pen is somewhat compact in size and running out of ink isn't a problem since you can carry extra cartridges with you. Once I saw this pen, I just knew that I had to have it. It will be with me on my travels to Vermont, New Hampshire and New York this fall for 10 days. Looking forward to getting back to New England. My summer trip has yet to be planned.
I have two pens attractive for travel. First, for portability, is the Franklin-Christoph Pocket 25, at 3.2". Adjust your grip accordingly. Second, for indestructability, is the Kaweco Steel Sport, made of Steel. Bombproof. MORE bombproof then that wimpy Brass Sport! When travelling, stick to EF nibs, which write for so long without running out of ink. We are off to Norway, but not till September.
I'll be picking up the Kaweco Al Sport brass at some point. 😊 Did you consider the Travelers Company pen? I'm currently really enjoying how compact this nice little writer is.😊
Again an extremely well selected bunch of pens. And it’s all so elegantly explained, reasoned and resolved that it seems not a 15-minute, but a 5-minute video. Thanks a lot.
Hate to arrive late to the party, but I was on a retreat this weekend, beginning on Thursday, with no internet access. What a pleasure! The pens I brought with me included my Pilot VP and a Sailor Pro Gear Slim--the Blue Dwarf. They proved best for the trip. The VP because I didn't have to concern myself with posting or placing the cap and, of course, because the nib is so very good. The Sailor because the cap twists off quickly and posts securely, making the pen a perfect size and weight for me. Of course, its nib is also superb and the pen is subtly very attractive.
Better late than never and welcome! Those are good choices. I just got my own VP after borrowing my wife’s over the last few years. It is an amazing pen with great applications. You will be seeing more of it on this channel in the videos to come. Thanks so much for the great addition to the conversation.
Hi HJ, many great choices on your list. A Pilot elite and a box of cartridges takes up minimal space in one’s luggage and would be enough ink for months, maybe even a year but could get boring! I’ve traveled with my Custom 823, Visconti HS BA, a Visconti Ink Well and 2 Opus 88 Picnic pens (eye dropper fill with shut-off valve) and that worked very well. Had plenty of ink and nib choices. As long as you carry your pens nib up in a nice padded case (and a ziplock bag to be extra cautious) onto a plane, you should be good. The pens should be nearly full - it’s the change in air pressure that can cause ink to burp out of pens. I like the four pens I listed because they all have shut off valves and hold lots of ink. Little sample vials or the small Iroshizuku bottles are also great for travel! You can also store spare nibs in the sample vials.
My go-to travel pens when flying are Opus 88 Japanese eyedropper pens and/or vacuum fillers. I’m heading off to France next month for a sketching/watercolor painting workshop group trip. I like several colors of waterproof ink, so I will be taking 2 or 3 Opus 88 Fantasias and a TWSBI Vac Mini. I have a hard time limiting myself! Maybe also my new green Liliput with extra cartridges since I’ve gotten quite fond of the wee thing.
What is the penmanship/caligraphy book we can see at 6:51? It seems to go into excruciating details on the forms of the letters, and that looks very interesting and nerdy! 🙂
I had to go look! So it is “Theory of the Spencerian Penmanship In Nine Easy Lessons.” It is a reprint of an ancient book from 1874. Easy to find though! I need to get back to practice!
My kaweco brass and black stonewashed AL sport are my pocket adventure travel pens...I feel naked without them...they are absolutely amazing pens. I want to take them with me on the plane, but what can I do to prevent burping?
Those are such great pens. For one thing, they are so beautiful. I love that material. Anyway, If you’re not going to use them on the plane, you could fly with them empty of course. What I do is to fly with them full. I fill them before leaving and I have never had an issue flying with any pen. I think if there is less air in there, there is less of an issue. Happy Travels and all the best!!
I never take my more expensive fp's when traveling, though I used to when I was an adminstrator who traveled a lot. Never had a problem with flying but I'd de-ink whatever pen(s) I flew with ahead of time. These days? The Kaweco Lilliput or the Traveler fp. I wouldn't want them all the time but for travel they're perfect. However, going around the southern part of Texas, usually one of my classic Esterbrook Model J's, preferably with the # 2284 signature stub nib. That or one of my TWSBI 580's with the stub Jowo nib. Great video! I own a restored 1939 Underwood S office manual, restored for me around 20 years ago, looking at your machines reminded me to uncover it and put out some pages on it!
Nice review. TWSBI Mini F or 1.1 Stub nib is an excellent travel fountain pen. Fits in the pocket but when posted (screws on the back) the weight and size feel perfect, even for long writing sessions. Holds a ton of ink (1.17 ml) so no need to bring extra. If you write a lot on vacation, there's always a traveling Inkwell. I bought the Pineider on Amazon (holds 10 ml). [I'm not affiliated with TWSBI or Pineider.] Thanks for the review. Good stuff.
I used the MB Traveler for some years but grappled with bad ink flow - sold it - then used a Chinese version of Kaweco - good but small ink capacity - now I use the Opus 88 - with its massive ink reservoir and unique lock system
Oh my, yes! I just filmed an in-depth look. I have it in Matte Black and my wife has the Blue Carbon. I have that queued up for late August. Great pens.
I wholeheartedly agree! I love not having to worry about a cap sometimes. The list is good though. I have the smaller Opus 88 Koloro and I love the shut off valve it offers at that price point.
Recently I been looking at S.T. Dupont, I’m curious to know, do you own one? What are your thoughts? In my opinion, they have the most beautiful pens after MontBlancs. Also their ping lighters and wallets are so iconic.
Hello Frank! I don’t own one. I haven’t written with one in 15 or so years, but the memory lingers. I would love to explore some. They have a wonderful history. I wish I knew more, but it just isn’t a company I have explored… yet! Wish you all the best.
Recently lost my Kaweco Brass Sport while out "on adventure". The lost pen had a fine nib which was always a bit dry and scratchy. I replaced it with a medium nib version that I generally prefer as a writer. Not sure that the medium nib is better for travel. There's a benefit to traveling with a fine/drier nib, when you may not have total control over the paper you'll be using.
That is true. I do see a future “Best Nib Size for Travel” video! However, your handwriting should always look cool too, so there is that. Thanks very much!
A few words about vacuum fillers: 1) They can be filled completely if you unscrew the section and eyedropper it the same way you would fill an Opus 88. 2) If you go to the mountains, you should point the nib up when the opening the plunger. Otherwise, the compressed air will give a power burp! 3) I don't take expensive pens on adventure travel. If you are willing to use a knock-off pen as your knock-around pen, check out the Wing Sung 699 vacuum. It's like like the Pilot 823, minus the gold nib. It's a smooth writer and costs less that $30.
Let’s not forget the awesome TWSBI Vac 700R. Also, you can get a complete fill with a bit of finesse and removing the pen after the first fill, gently pulling back the plunger and going in for a second dip! With great care, of course, lest you will be wearing the contents of the first attempt. I have done this, but rarely require a full pen, since i like changing inks. Thanks for commenting and for watching my video. I hope you enjoyed it.
I agree with your list, including your reservations about the Liliput for travel. I have a couple to add as possibilities. For anyone who loves the Sport but are trying to keep their bags as lightweight as possible: I have two AL Sports that I love traveling with: a solid blue one, sadly discontinued (you can only get this color pre-stonewashed now) and a black one. Both would fit great in a business or adventure setting. I really like the raw aluminum one as well, though I don't own one. Or, in a similar vein, I have an Art Sport that is just gorgeous and made of lightweight acrylic (probably not great as an adventure pen, though). Another pen I love to travel with is the Lamy 2000. It as a good ink capacity (not as good as the 823, but respectable), classic lines, a great nib, and it's also made of lightweight but tough makrolon. Its slip cap makes it extra convenient for quick writing needs, as well. I think my favorite travel pen is the 823, though. You just can't beat it for in capacity and security against leaking. An honorable mention would be one of my Franklin Christoph pocket-sized pens: the model 20P or the model 45. Lightweight, compact, and attractive - and they can be eyedropper filled (maybe not the best idea on an airplane though).
Hi Sharon. You have some great suggestions here, including the AL from Lamy, which is a great and more durable alternative to the Safari. Thanks so much for the wonderful input!
@@HemingwayJones Oh! I meant the Kaweco AL Sport, not the Lamy AL Star. (I don't actually like the AL Star - I prefer the Safari. The ABS plastic is tough as nails.)
Wonderful video as always, Hemingway!!!!:):):) I, of course dont travel much, due to health issues. But later on this month I am going to spend 2 weeks in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I wont take my Mont Blancs, but I will be taking my Lamy Al-Star pens, and my Parker Duofold Centennial pens, and 2 bottles of Waterman inks, which I have refilled into 1990s MB ink bottles, which I use as my inkwells. Also, you have got me interested in the Kaweco Sport in the brass finish, and I am also interested in the Gravitas Pocket FP, made by Brendan Walsh in the Republic of Ireland, and in the next 2 weeks both FPs will be in my hands.
Oh man, Upper Peninsula, are you taking the Nick Adams stories with you? Great choices of travel pens and Waterman ink are excellent and affordable. The MB ink bottles with the slanted fronts are great for re-using. I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on the new pens when they come. Please check back. Be gentle with yourself, My Friend. Wishing you al the best always.
Lovely video , as always great content! I have to agree on the selection of pieces for traveling …I own a couple of them and I am in love of how well they perform but any time I travel I take with me only FPs I won’t cry about if I loose them or damage them on the trip…so I always use pens that are not too expensive or they are easy to replace. Thanks, once again for the post!
Great review, thanks much! I have the brass Kaweco Sport, so I'm happy to hear that you think highly of it! I'm not going anywhere this summer, at least as far as I know.🙂
A fun question, especially since I recently took my first flight since pre-COVID days! Personally, I'm not a fan of Kaweco nibs (solely using EF and F) out of the box; I've never had one that I didn't have to smooth/tweak a bit after which they're A-Ok but still. So I have a few alternates: Diplomat Traveler ( vs Lilliput) and Opus 88 Pocket for the justifiably well regarded 823. I prefer the lighter weight of the aluminum versions of Schon Design pocket and Kaweco Al-sport.
Congratulations in getting back out there. I’ve never F or EF in Kaweco. Now I am curious. The wider ones are brilliant. Diplomat Traveler is a great choice. Opus I don’t know much about. Aluminum Schon sounds epic. Thanks so much!
Great video as always. Thank you 💖. One of my favourite travel pens is the Gravitas Pocket Pen (Raw Brass Skull) or my new Gravitas "Quark Up" made of Zirconium (I think it is the smallest pen which becomes a full sized pen when posted).
I have a Kaweco Liliput and I love it! Thing is, sadly, It is so small that I am afraid of misplacing it tho. And cartridges/the tiny squeeze converters is a bit sub-obtimal to me. I generally have a plastic Kaweco sport clipped to a passport size notebook for my on-the-go. Burgundy Kaweco Sport + Diamine Ancient Copper is my setup of choice for this (using their small piston converter. But if I stick to that ink I probably should get cartridges instead).
Hello My Friend!~ I agree completely! I am always worried about misplacing it as well. It slips into that “watch” pocket in your pants and nearly dissolves! Burgundy Sport sounds brilliant! I love Ancient Copper. I put it in my Brass Sport often Excellent taste, My Friend.
@@HemingwayJones I have been enjoying these more red/orange browns. I had Diamine Oxblood in my Lamy 2K for a while too. I love the Kaweco Sport form factor, and I must say you make me want to get one with their 1.1 stub nib! The only pen with that sort of nib I have is an old Pilot Plumix. I have a Lamy Joy with a giant 1.9mm nib on it. Used to want to try myself at some medieval calligraphy (things like the onciale and carolingian scripts)
@@Ybalrid I am a huge fan of Oxblood. Nicely done. The Medieval Gothic Script sounds super fun. The 1.1 often feels more like a square broad. They are fun to write with and really make an impact on your writing. Plus, they are great for shading and shimmer inks.
I need to get one of those Kaweco's. Nice pen. If you are going to be gone long enough for a refill, a TWSBI Vac Mini plus the TWSBI traveling inkwell probably isn't a bad choice - but, I confess. My experience is limited. When I travel, I generally grab my Opus 88 Fantasia and my Rickshaw three-holer pen sleeve with Opus 88 Demonstrators in flex fine, medium, and an Omar in stub. That gives me nibs to cope with a variety of paper types. Nice video!
I know Brian Goulet reported that the fire-blue finish on the Liliput disappears if run through the washing machine, so be careful of that. And I do like this pen myself! Of course, the Pilot E95s is an even better pocket pen. The topic of travel pens is interesting. Pocket pens are great if I'm going to do a lot of hiking. But what if it's a different kind of travel? In August, I'll be visiting Fargo, ND for a week to take a class. I may wander around the city, but it won't be an outdoor trip. In that instance, I'll need pens that can last and hold ink: I won't be bringing along ink bottles. You could almost do videos like this for different kinds of travel. Your comments on the Pilot Custom 823 match the less outdoor types of travel. You're making me think of my eventual visit to my parents... Fun that you're from Philadelphia. I actually grew up in Pennsylvania as well, but somehow ended up in North Dakota. I always lived in rural PA, and now live in rural ND. I've really been enjoying your videos on pens for different situations, so please keep doing those!
I am glad I rescued my Liliput before it hit the spin cycle! I think that you have inspired me to do a pocket pen video sometime soon. There is an important distinction there. Thank you! I will keep doing the pens for occasions posts. Thanks for the kind comments and inspiration.
I think brass fountain pens are LOVELY as travel companions. They age with you on the journey, and they look better with a bit of a beating. I have my eye on the Kaweco Brass Sport for later on down the road, but for now I have a Retro51 Tornado FP in brass and a Traveller's Company FP in brass. I don't see people talking about copper as much since it doesn't show it's age as quickly (or maybe I'm just imagining it) but that's another pen material for travel pens! Just as durable as brass since brass is made of copper 😂
@@HemingwayJones Didn't even realize it when I was watching. Must have had my eyes closed. 😂 I misremembered the Schon DSGN in brass and had my brain elsewhere. Apologies!
@@jackivaltrades Nothing to apologize for! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and have a passion for pens. Stop by again and check out the rest of my videos. All the best, My Friend.
@@HemingwayJones I enthusiastically recommend the Traveler’s Company brass pen. It’s my go-to for travel. Being a lefty, I prefer a finer nib, and it’s just right. The pen that houses the FP nib can also take their rollerball nib with the same Standard International Short cartridges. The RB nib writes much wetter, if that’s your thing. I like the fact that it’s an extremely unfussy pen. The only threaded thing on it is the bit that holds the clip on; everything else is a pressure fit, which makes it extremely quick to pull out and get writing.
Hemingway - another pen I am interested in, though I think it is no longer made. It is a Pilot pen, sort of like the ES-95S, but the body and the cap, and the nib is all made of stainless steel. I think it was called the "Pilot MYU". I think I will look for one at the OhioPen Show in early November 2022. Thanks, and have a wonderful weekend.
Thanks so much! Please let me know if you track one down. I would love to hear your thoughts. You should come to the Commonwealth Pen Show. I will be there! Stay cool and all the best!
Hemingway - I would live to come meet you at the Commonwealth Pen Show. I unfortunately, cant fly. So the Ohio Pen Show and the Michigan Pen Show, are the only 2 shows I attend regularly. The Michigan Pen Show is a 45 min drive away, and the Ohio Show is about3 hours away, so it is easier to access.
I'd pack an Opus88 Omar (very well sealed, giant eye-dropper with valve) with a fine nib (I normally use 'M', but 'F' is of more universal use and uses less ink), fill it with 54'th Massachusetts (a very well behaved 'document ink') and be done.
Hello Hemingway, nice review as always and my list would pretty much match yours except for a couple of additions: the kaweco Supra and the travelers company pen. One thing I’ll have to check is the pen from your place which I’ve never heard of. For travel, not much planned except a relocation from Singapore to Switzerland in a couple of weeks, after that I think I wont consider any travel until my energy level is back up :) Cheers Chris
I really need to get a Travelers! I do love the Supra too. It’s like a Liliput on steroids. Good luck on the move. I hope it’s smooth. Wish you all the best.
It came from Pen Chalet. it was promotional for making a TikTok. We did a giveaway of it on TikTok. It was super fun. It’s an interesting ink. It’s very poetic and really captures the spirit of the book. If you’re on TikTok, follow me over there.
Let me just say that I really enjoy watching your videos. I do agree that probably the best travel pen should be a metal one but I do prefer the Kaweko Supra to the Sport.
Thank you! I’d rather you enjoyed my videos than agree with me! I have a Supra and I quite like it. Mine is in Stainless. It could have made the list. It is very good, indeed. Thanks very much, Gerardo. Stop by again soon.
@@HemingwayJones "I’d rather you enjoyed my videos than agree with me!" Just replying here to say that that sentence moved me. And my fairly abused AL Sport will probably need to get inked up soon.
I love how you seem to be a watch enthusiasts. Would love to see an off topic video showing us your watch collection or sharing your journey into owning a mechanical timepiece.
I agree the Brass Sport is the best travel pen. Mine has amazing patina from years of use. One other not on your list, Hemingway, is the Traveler’s Company Factory pen. I have the Factory Green one. Check it out if you haven’t. Stay well.
I'll always use my Gravitas titanium pocket pen with it's incredible Jinhao #8 nib. Just a glorious writing experience. Massive kudos to Ben @ Gravitas 👍🏻The Pocket 6 has always excited me, however I just haven't "pulled the trigger" yet as I wanted an even bigger nib and being in the UK, the prices get expensive very quickly with our 20% VAT and import costs. The Pilot Custom 823 is epic, yep. Massive ink fill and superb writer.
YT suggested this 1yo video to me. I own neither of the pens mentioned in the video nor the comments! I like to bring one or two of my five Noodler’s Konrads in vegetal resin with me on my travels. They are incredibly tough, have a decent ink capacity and are very comfortable writers, just giving your writing a bit character if you don’t bother to flex-write. The clip grips any pocket, and the size isn’t that small you’d risk misplacing it. None of them had any unpleasant odour when I bought them, and still hasn’t. Otherwise they wouldn’t be great companions.
I’ve too many options in my pocket pen collection to choose from : Pilot Elite, Petite Kaweco Liliput and a few ‘plastic sports’ Clones of Kaweco Brass sport, Al sport and Art Sport All the available Delike Brass pocket pens Conklin MiniGraph and its clone from Montagut Moonman N1, N2, N6, 80S Mini, Wancai Mini, X1 Twsbi Mini Rose gold Ohto Tasche Many Made in India pocket pens including an Ultra-mini ebonite pocket fountain pen ! @@HemingwayJones I’ll be adding Traveller’s Company Brass pocket pen to my above collection next month.. Perhaps you can start your ‘made in India’ FP journey with Ranga handmade pens ! There’re too many models that they offer..
I have and shall again! Have you seen my video on the magic of Kon-Peki. it was early on, but still pretty good. I haven’t done an ink video in a while, but will. Which should I pick? Moon view 2, perhaps?
Traveling on airplanes ✈ is something I had not done in the years that I was my Mother's caregiver. Sadly, she passed in February and I am quite contemplative about getting back to flying and experiencing more of the world and in turn, more of life. I am concerned about flying with pens as I am a dedicated Journal writer. ✍ My pen soulmate has always been the Pilot Precise V7 in Black, which does NOT fly well, much to my chagrin. Now that I am exploring fountain pens, this is a video topic I feel immensely grateful for. I suppose it would be best to fly with the pen(s) empty then fill them with ink upon arrival at my destination. 🤔 Thanks for another fantastic video, Hemingway ✒
Thank you very much! You can always fill them when you get there if you are worried. Personally I’ve never had an issue on a plane but others have. I wish you all the best.
Always a replaceable pen when travelling. Team Travel has my Kaweco Sport & Perkeo, both which has ABS, the knock about material, and a Parker Jotter as a backup, and dressier surroundings.
I just started this video but I wanted to comment on a line early in the video. You say something along the line of “being pen people we always have a pen on us”. That is the mindset that led me to getting into fountain pens recently. I ALWAYS have a pen on me and have some nice ball points and there are expensive ball points out there but at the end of the day their actual function is BORING! The fact a single fountain pen can have multiple nibs and hundreds of different inks and behave differently on dozens of different papers is NOT BORING. Anyway…back to the video…
TJS actually. I like having a bit of separation between my home life and RUclips life. I’m also an SVP of a bank and want some separation. It’s my Nom de Internet. I’m surprised it took this long for someone to ask.

I always wanted a Kaweco Brass Spot but now wondering about the Steel one. I do have Pilot E95s and love it but maybe not for travel. BLESSINGS
The Steel is nice too. I’m relating it to the Supra I have. Brass is fun for the patina. Either way, they are great pens!
I had to go look! So it is “Theory of the Spencerian Penmanship In Nine Easy Lessons.” It is a reprint of an ancient book from 1874. Easy to find though! I need to get back to practice!
@@HemingwayJones Found the modern reprint by mott media. It is even stocked by Amazon France, bundled with five copybooks!
@@Ybalrid Wonderful! The copy books are probably good to have. I ran out of space for practice! Let me know how you do with it.
Oh...good point
I would add the TWSBI Vac 700R and Vac mini. These are my current travel pens until I get a 823 custom. I do keep my Elite 95s in my edc bag.
What is your background music. I recognize it from somewhere. Swan Lake?
Good Morning. It’s Satie Gynopedies.
Central Texas, here - happy travels!
Nice! Fellow typist! Glad to hear that I have inspired you.
Good stuff.
Thanks, Dave, those are excellent suggestions! Stop by again. I feel that you could contribute a lot to this channel. Thanks!
I used the MB Traveler for some years but grappled with bad ink flow - sold it - then used a Chinese version of Kaweco - good but small ink capacity - now I use the Opus 88 - with its massive ink reservoir and unique lock system
That is an interesting pen journal! Where will you go from here?
love my Kaweco Lilliput with a fisher space pen clip
Genius! It’s a great pen!
I'd say that's the best top 5 travel pens video I have ever seen. Excellent job on everything.
Thank you very much!
Have you tried the Pilot Capless (Vanishing Point)? That’s a new favourite of mine
@@ronsteed That’s a great option too. I don’t have any Opus. I need to remedy this!
If you're bringing bottled ink to refill a Vac700r, I would suggest pouring the ink in a TWSBI's inkpot bottle (Vac 20a). You easily get a full fill.
@@invaderzim1964 Great suggestion!
You'll love both the Brass Sport and the Gravitas Pocket!
Thanks, Hemingway!!!!:):):)

Thanks so much for watching. I am so glad that you enjoyed it. Wish you all the best.
Great review, thanks much!
I have the brass Kaweco Sport, so I'm happy to hear that you think highly of it!
I'm not going anywhere this summer, at least as far as I know.🙂
We are two Kaweco fans! I’m just heading to the beach, but it’s very picturesque so it should make for some nice content.
@@HemingwayJones Cool!👍
We are headed to Chiba for 10 days this summer. I believe I will be taking my Pilot 823, Opus 88 Bela, opus 88 Omar, and probably one more.
Excellent choices! Do you have a Brass Sport or something similar? Indestructible for out in the field!
@@HemingwayJonesit’s on my wish list. If I snag it before I go it will be my carry around pen.
Fountain pens are my love
You’re very welcome here then! All the best.
Good choice! Thanks so much!
I loved this list. I did figure the kaweco sport would find a spot but I can see why you chose the other two. Awesome video Hemingway!
Thanks, My Friend! Lovely to see you over here. You know how much I love my Brass Kaweco..
The Tasche OHTO FF-10T - a Japanese fountain pen - is often overlooked, but it's great for road travel.
Thank you! I’ll try to get my hands on one.
Nice video!
Thanks very much, Johnny! Those are some great choices. I should have got into the accessories of travel. Next video!
@@HemingwayJones Looking forward to that - a great topic!

Lovely Pen! Thanks for the comment!
Hi. Really enjoyed this subject, your choices were perfect. I have most of the pens mention and I really enjoy them.🤗 All the best.
Thank you very much, John! I appreciate the kind comments.
Yes! The Schon was made of Copper. That is another awesome material. I need to get my hands on a Travelers. I hear very good things. Love Brass!
@@lachimiste1 Thank you very much! I feel like I need to get one of those. I've heard so many nice things. Thanks!
Wow!!! 3 of 5 on my pouch, not bad.
Nice! You have excellent taste!
@@Wolverine3660 Gotcha, so sorry. That makes sense. I’ll try to get out there one day.
Great video thanks. The fountain pens look as nice as you, I guess they write as smooth as your skin. 😉
Thanks for watching and the kind words. Thanks!
Great info! My fear was that the pen wouldn’t get through security. Just getting back into travel.
I am glad that all is well! Bon Voyage!
I'd pack an Opus88 Omar (very well sealed, giant eye-dropper with valve) with a fine nib (I normally use 'M', but 'F' is of more universal use and uses less ink), fill it with 54'th Massachusetts (a very well behaved 'document ink') and be done.
Those are some excellent choices. Simplicity is good. Sometimes I get stymied by having an abundance of choice. All the best.
Hello Hemingway, nice review as always and my list would pretty much match yours except for a couple of additions: the kaweco Supra and the travelers company pen. One thing I’ll have to check is the pen from your place which I’ve never heard of. For travel, not much planned except a relocation from Singapore to Switzerland in a couple of weeks, after that I think I wont consider any travel until my energy level is back up :)

Thanks Richard! Gravitas is coming up. I am hearing about them from several different sources. They look amazing on their website.

Thanks so much for waching!
