This is one of the very few actors who actually answer ANY question made to them, instead of dismissing them or dodging them. He is very well-mannered, wise, intelligent and thoughtful.
How brilliant. I fondly remember him in Amazing Grace as one of the friends of Wilberforce in his anti-slavery bill. I think he is an amazing actor. Underrated but very, very skilled. Very handsome in his youth as well. I remember him in a period drama years ago as the young romantic lead .....
Same here. I adored him as Lord M. :) For me the introduction was Middlemarch, he was young there, then completely forgot he was Jasper in The Holiday, despite the fact I watch it every year!! He's underrated and why he's not become a far more well known actor is beyond me.
Never in a gajillion years would I have ever envisioned Rufus, one of the most broodingly handsome actors on the planet, as Andrew. The physicality is completely different. That’s ACTING!
Saw it last night. Twice, back to back 😊. I only recognized Gillian and Sewell from their voices, makeup was fantastic. Gillian was using her Maggie voice from the Crown
First saw Rufus in " Pillars of the Earth " and thought what a good actor! He never disappoints. Well spoken, handsome..he sort of reminds me of Richard Burton.
Wow! What a great interview, I'm glad they let him speak and didn't hound him like it usually happens with gotcha style interviews. We need more interviews like this.
I discovered Rufus in 2001 in the film Chevalier (with the fantastic and sadly departed Heath Ledger😢). Rufus was playing a nasty villain, but his brilliant acting and dashing good looks almost made me like the character ! I’ve followed Rufus’s career ever since and although I wouldn’t have particularly liked or wanted to rewatch the infamous interview, I will, but only because Rufus is in it. (Chevalier in English is A Knight’s Tale …I live in France and saw it France)
The prothetics, makeup are incredible. He really got his demeanor as well. Very smart to study his body language. I heard he reviewed The Behavior Panel assessment of Andrew's interview to prepare.
I became a Rufus Sewell fan when I saw him in the role of King Charles ii and later on in the role of Alexander Hamilton in the series on the life of John Adams.
Rufus is compelling anyway, this roll was awesome. The depiction of Andrew’s self deception, cluelessness of his actions and inherent privilege was solidly effective. Bravo, well played 🤗👏👏👏
Oh thank goodness! I saw the thumbnail and thought he had lost his looks and I thought, he looks like prince Andrew 😂. Glad to see it’s just makeup and prosthetics and he still looks like himself.
Honestly I said to myself “I know that voice…”. Then I rewound the Netflix show back to the credits… When I saw Rufus… I wondered who he would play. Still didn’t see Rufus as Andrew until 30 minutes in. Then I was shocked! Rufus is Andrew?!?!??! What an excellent actor ❤❤❤❤
I live in Windsor in the UK and know people who have to interact with Andrew. No-one, has a good word to say about him. His arrogance is beyond belief !
I worked with Rufus on a television production called,The man in the High castle, his acting is very believable and noted his excellent interactions with the other cast members and the crew. Have yet to watch Scoop.
I loved Scoop! Rufus is fabulous in any role I’ve seen him play. I loved him in PBS ‘Victoria’ too! It doesn’t hurt that he’s easy on the eyes and was so understandably convincing as a man Victoria could be so smitten by.☮️❤️
Andrew convinced his mother that he did nothing wrong didn’t he. He sees himself as gods gift to women. How lucky she was to end up in his bed. And Mommy paid for it..... Charles paid less to Diana for 15 years of marriage and two children.
An astounding performance, not least because it seems to me a huge challenge to be so brilliant and yet play a vapid character. To be honest I didn't feel Dame Judi managed it in Philomena, she's just too sharp to play a rather simple woman convincingly. Rufus has performed some mysterious alchemy to inhabit and convey the thickness that is Andrew. Astute on the victim/guilt dynamic as well. Truly a marvellous actor.
Rufus Sewell is one of our greatest actors. However, I do not see the poiint in making a film about the interview when we have seen the real interview in most recent time.
Oh poor Andrew. This is incredible, a guy participated in a crime and people have to feel pity for him? Embarrassing. Andrew should have paid for his involvement, oh right he did! $12 Million!
I liked Rufus Sewell in the movie " The Illusionist" with Edward Norton, he played a thoroughly nasty piece of work in that movie, a real villain, actually I thought he stole the show even though he wasn't the headline star of that film, but his performance was great.....and screen villains are always very nice people in real life !!
Can I ask Rufus ; are you related to Ian Mcshane? And do you remember wandering into a flat in East Twickenham (near Richmond Bridge) for a coffee? Lol
Couldn't get past the voice. Andrew's voice comes across as entitled, puzzled at how people are questioning him and overly confident. This actor's voice is soothing and almost that of what you'd expect an old butler to sound like. Andrew has a more confident voice completely devoid of empathy. Likely impossible to replicate by a non-narcissist.
I’ve only seen Rufus play American roles. This is the first I’m I’ve heard his real voice. It’s so weird…like a higher pitch than when he’s speaking American English.
What an articulate person Rufus Sewell is. He is very clever and well spoken .
He nailed Prince Andrew! I thought when they cast him I wouldn’t be able to see him as Andrew. I was so wrong. Well done.
Rufus looked just like Prince Andrew, you wouldn't know that it wasn't actually Prince Andrew!!
I love Rufus since I watched him in Middlemarch. He is always right in every work he does.
Middlemarch, and A Knight’s Tale. He’s brilliant in both. And now stunning in Scoop. Well done Rufus!
Rufus excels in whatever part he chooses to play, one of my favorite actors.
This is one of the very few actors who actually answer ANY question made to them, instead of dismissing them or dodging them. He is very well-mannered, wise, intelligent and thoughtful.
I watched Scoop last night. Rufus and Gillian were brilliant in their roles.
Rufus is just so gorgeous. My fave actor♥️
He is a handsome man!
Loved him especially in pbs Victoria
@@risingphoenix8072Watch him in the three part series ZEN…phoar! Imagine Lord Melbourne in modern times as a venetian policeman and that is Zen.
Me2!
I went to school with Rufus and am proud hes done so well!
Wow absolutely awesome 💯
I’m just in love with Rufus Sewell.
He got me hooked when he played Lord M in Victoria. ❤
I just commented the same thing - several times ❤️
Same here. I adored him as Lord M. :) For me the introduction was Middlemarch, he was young there, then completely forgot he was Jasper in The Holiday, despite the fact I watch it every year!! He's underrated and why he's not become a far more well known actor is beyond me.
I really liked him as Lord M also. He was wonderful in Victoria. However, I first saw him in A Knight's Tale and I hated his character. 😅
Same! What a great great actor ❤
I love Lord M
Never in a gajillion years would I have ever envisioned Rufus, one of the most broodingly handsome actors on the planet, as Andrew. The physicality is completely different. That’s ACTING!
Rufus did a great job as Prince Andrew. Is prefomace was amazing. Loved Rufus in Queen Victoria. Rufus is really handsome.
😊
He plays the best bad guys ever! He was perfect in A Knight’s Tale and The Holiday ❤
Saw this today. Rufus, Billy, Gillian, Keeley and the rest of the cast were brilliant!!!
Saw it last night. Twice, back to back 😊. I only recognized Gillian and Sewell from their voices, makeup was fantastic. Gillian was using her Maggie voice from the Crown
@@risingphoenix8072 Agree she sounded more like Maggie than Emily.
Rufus is an incredible actor and I’m certain he did a superb job in this role. Can’t wait to see it.
would make a great Bond. Get in there Rufus!!!!
True, but hes the same age as Daniel Craig and abit old for the role.
I thought that, watching him in Man in the High Castle. OOFT, N*zi Bond in a lot of respects - it's terrifying, but you can't look away!
Maybe 25 years ago
He's too good to be wasted on Bond
100% would watch that.
First saw Rufus in " Pillars of the Earth " and thought what a good actor! He never disappoints. Well spoken, handsome..he sort of reminds me of Richard Burton.
Same here! Somehow I remember him best from Pillars - and of course as Lord M in Victoria
Wow! What a great interview, I'm glad they let him speak and didn't hound him like it usually happens with gotcha style interviews. We need more interviews like this.
Hear hear!
Geez he has beautiful skin.
Do do i

He seems really lovely. So well spoken and down-to-earth.
Rufus was amazing in The Man In The High Castle especially with his co stars for his wife and kids. He is brilliant.
He is one of the best of our time.
The prothetics, makeup are incredible. He really got his demeanor as well. Very smart to study his body language. I heard he reviewed The Behavior Panel assessment of Andrew's interview to prepare.
Love Rufus as an actor.
Brilliant portrayal, great actor. Loved him in A Knights Tale, and so many other movies 👏👏👏
❤He is fantastic actor, absolutely fantastic! ❤love from Finland
I became a Rufus Sewell fan when I saw him in the role of King Charles ii and later on in the role of Alexander Hamilton in the series on the life of John Adams.
Loved RS as Lord M in ITV's Victoria!
Rufus is a brilliant actor.
Rufus even had minute expressions down very, very well.
I first saw Rufus in Dark City. Can’t wait to watch Scoop.
I wasn't planning on watching scoop ... but after listening to this interview (and on GMB) I will ....
I watched it twice last night back to back. He is fantastic and Gillian turned herself into Emily in the interview scene. Fabulous actors
Rufus is amazing... Great interview.
great actor, he nailed the role 100%
Wonderful actor!
Rufus is an artist and a gentleman and nobody's fool. I love him desperately.
Honestly I said to myself “I know that voice…”.
Then I rewound the Netflix show back to the credits…
When I saw Rufus… I wondered who he would play.
Still didn’t see Rufus as Andrew until 30 minutes in.
Then I was shocked! Rufus is Andrew?!?!??!
What an excellent actor ❤❤❤❤
A magnificent performance from Rupert Sewell, perhaps even his best yet…+ at times, difficult to remember it wasn’t Andrew himself!
Yes, excellent.
I live in Windsor in the UK and know people who have to interact with Andrew. No-one, has a good word to say about him. His arrogance is beyond belief !
Rufus seawell can do anything!!
Aloha & mHalo. Love your intensity in every thing you do thru the years. You pulled of andrew so well. Great cheekbones....
Very convincing what a talented actor
Amazing performance!
Rufus is a great actor!
We love Rufus
Hes brilliant 👏
Rufus did a cracking job ,the make up team too,he captured his mannerisms perfectly
Watched it last night… he’s fabulous!! Kudos to the make up artists too…. Unreal!!
You have got his arrogance perfectly. Well done
He always does great villains. 😊
Luvluvluv Rufus
I worked with Rufus on a television production called,The man in the High castle, his acting is very believable and noted his excellent interactions with the other cast members and the crew. Have yet to watch Scoop.
First seen Mr. Rufus Sewell in the TV serial Victoria and I couldn’t have enough of his playing!🪻💐❤Kind regards from 🇨🇦
Excellent actor . Thought him marvellous in Man from the High Mountain series .
Rufus Sewell was fabulous in “Zen”
Handsome ❤
I loved Scoop! Rufus is fabulous in any role I’ve seen him play. I loved him in PBS ‘Victoria’ too! It doesn’t hurt that he’s easy on the eyes and was so understandably convincing as a man Victoria could be so smitten by.☮️❤️
Well done, ❤❤. A knights tale. How ironic, and he now also plays a dark demise for a dark nite. 😮❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏
Netflix must have a thing about second sons of the monarchy. Prince Andrew and Prince Harry.
Gillian was incredible too. All of it was great.
Rufus you re an amazing actor right back to Dangerous Liaison!
Why are the pictures blurred out

I love Rufus in all he does
Classic Partridge. The awkward mouth to finger examination. The sychophancy. Full marks Richard.
A young Lawrence Olivier vibes
who plays the Police Commanding Officer who failed to investigate the allegations ?
Why is the picture of him as Andrew, blurred?
First saw him in Cold Comfort Farm, simply the best.
He did so good to avoid all those trap questions Madeley was throwing him. Perfect professional. Articulate, intelligent artist.
Why are some of the images completely blurred? It's very distracting....
What a gorgeous man. Loved him in the young Victoria as Melbourne and in Zen.
Don’t we all remember Middlemarch?
What is with GMB's obsession with showing blurry videos? I mean, what's the point? Just don't bother with the video at all.
Prince Andrew becomes an icon with your creation. 😊
Andrew convinced his mother that he did nothing wrong didn’t he. He sees himself as gods gift to women. How lucky she was to end up in his bed. And Mommy paid for it..... Charles paid less to Diana for 15 years of marriage and two children.
I have a relative who has done the same
An astounding performance, not least because it seems to me a huge challenge to be so brilliant and yet play a vapid character. Why do you always blur the pics??? Is it something due to I'm because I'm an American viewer ?
PA thought it all went rather well because he’s been told this about everything he’s done in his entire life. No authentic self-awareness at all.
Rufus is easy on the eyes. Looking forward to watching it but hate we have to on NETFLIX.
It was pretty amazing how they managed to uglify Rufus to look like Andrew.
getting inside andy pandys head would be like being in a vacuum nothing there.
Wonderful ❤
Scoop was very good and Rufus Sewell is perfect as Prince Andrew... Rufus must of spent hours in make up to hide his awesome cheekbones!
Leave Harry alone and do something about putting Andrew away
Rufus Sewell is one of our greatest actors. However, I do not see the poiint in making a film about the interview when we have seen the real interview in most recent time.
Rufus Sewell is quite the beauty thanks to his hair and make up artists, of course. He also seems very nice, but then he might be acting.
A really good picture
Oh poor Andrew. This is incredible, a guy participated in a crime and people have to feel pity for him? Embarrassing. Andrew should have paid for his involvement, oh right he did! $12 Million!
Yes, prince Andrew is a human being just like all of us. The fact that he is a human being, who still chose to do this, is what is so repulsive.
Prince Andrew, a product of incredible entitlement, he sees the world uniquely from everybody else
There was no need for a documentary on Andrew 🙄🤮🤬
Actually the day after the original broadcast there was'nt that much ridicule and mockery Took a wee while to sink in .
Can I ask Rufus ; are you related to Ian Mcshane? And do you remember wandering into a flat in East Twickenham (near Richmond Bridge) for a coffee? Lol
Very similar to Ian McShane
I see the likeness. I knew he looked familiar
Cool dude..great actor.
Couldn't get past the voice. Andrew's voice comes across as entitled, puzzled at how people are questioning him and overly confident. I hope Rufus did not sweat - the script must have been easy because the original interview was a pack of lies
