Holy shit ham balls. I grew up in Afton Ia. Mom made them all the time. Moved to swmo and they Have never heard of them. Mom came down and made them at our last get together. Ran into the same problem here. No stores make the ham ball mix. Love the vid. Keep it up
Ive thought about recording my operation but i end up rambling on about what you should do and what you shouldnt do when handling cattle in a corral. Then wheat ill ramble on what to do or not do. My boss was an ag teacher and him and i will agree on what to do or how to handle them etc. Im only 23. Grew up on a 1 acre yard. I was on drugs from 13 tell 19 years old when i woke up to a text from my best friend girl friend. Best friends from 4 years old tell 19 years old when i woke up my senior year of high school to see she put him in rehab. By 10 a.m. he broke out. By 11 a.m they found him dead. I lost my shit Moved to the coumtry. My neighbor saw a young kid building a corral a pole barn fences all by myself and lmao he needed 8 holes dug 4ft deep in 100 degrees. Im worling so much in the middle of no where to stay sober and keep my mind busy so i didnt care. I said no problem. Later on that day he asked what do i charge i told him 4 years later im still working for him on 55,000 acres. Damn near running itbat this point while i have 30 cows. It was 50 cows but this damn drought. Sucks tho 8 a.m. we're in okeene. By 1 p.m. we're 2 hours away. By 10 p.m. we're driving back with a 4 hour drive. Between my job i work for myself and my cattle 😅😂 Tbh i love this life. It kept me a live this long. So im gonna keep loving this rodeo i step into.
I'm not gonna add an edit. Some reason I bought purebred cattle. Some reason God blessed me with selling them The truth why I decided ranching out of anything in the planet. My great grandpa died in 1986. I was born in 1999. He had drop out of school to survive at 14 years old. Mom and dad was dead. In them days you farmed. 1920's By 19 he married my great grandma who mom and dad also passed away. They met he married her with 160 acres.which 105 years my family still owns 😅 He built it to 1,000 acres in 1986 when he died. My Grandma, her brother, sisters nobody wanted to farm. So every acre. Peice of equipment sold... 2 combines tractors blows drills etc sold. I still see some of his equipment my grandma pointed out to me every now and then... So I lease family land and I own 80 acres.. in 6 more years I'll have my 80 paid off and I'll use it as collateral to buy 160 acre then repeat. The government isn't helping tho right now.
I am first gen farmer out in Oregon I raise grass seed I started with 22 acre in 1998 and now farm 1000 but I am still not full time I work 40 hr week take all my vacation in summer in 6 years I will retire from my town job and farm full time
5:20 so calling my farm jack ass meadows while selling purebred bulls should be enough attention 😂😅 jk im famous in my state as is being a first generation rancher. I do call my ranch jack ass meadows tho. Im a super nice respectful person who believes treat ppl how you want to be treated but with that said. If your my neighbors who dumped a 100 pound dead calf at the outlet of your property in 3 feet deep water flowing into my property... You'll meet the jack ass side of me.
You guys are awesome I just really enjoy your show thank you for making my work day fun!!
We haul our dairy manure to a digester and they make it into compressed natural gas.
