You said Machine itself cutoffs during this. At extreme Conditions like Lighting, PCB damage is real. Line itself have fuse but most times never protects equipments from Impulse Higher Voltages like Lightning. It ends up Damaging PCB. Thats how Stabilizer are sold more.
Stabilizer protects from Thunder. Stabilizer dies itself before damaging Equipment. Sellers tells this as reason to buy.😅

Nowadays most equipment’s come with SMPS with input range of 120-270 volts. The major problem in stabiliser is the correction or reaction time. Generally the stabiliser takes around 30 to 50 milliseconds to correct. If the stabiliser was in boost mode and the voltage load has decreased, the output voltage will suddenly increase and it will take some time to stabilise. During this time, the electronic equipment can be easily damaged. So it is recommended not to use any stabiliser.

Am using triple booster in my home, during summer input Is between 130 to 150V yes, still I get output of 200v atleast in kangaroo brand. It cost me around 10k. More over I have mainline single phase stabiliser for home, which again does the same thing. It’s 6 Kva mainline.
About the elephant brand, you first tried increasing the input first then you reduced it. Yes it should have increased the output when you reduce the input. Still you can once try to power off for few mins and try again from input 220v in elephant brand I think it will increase a little bit

Truly speaking most of the inverter ac's are designed to work from 140V to 270V without compromising the cooling efficiency with necessary under and over voltage protection including surge protection. No stabilizer is required. Introducing stabilizer causes unreliablity and increases the chances of failure, increased in energy consumption. It also consumes power and heated is generated. Arcing in switching relay causes introduces unwanted surges which can damage your ac.
Why companies we say branded are developing a low cost models is one of your final questions anna , its correct but as you say normal consumers lack knowledge and seek technical guidance from sales person and electrician, but mostly a sales person a or a electrician recommend which company is profitable for them and low rate for customers , because majority of customers accepts stabilizer or 1500 rather then a stabilizer for 2000+ rs, they are seeing that 500 or 1000 extra only. In business a non branded or a branded 1500 stabilizer sells more then a good quality product which is slightly or a high priced one, for example-if a good quality one sells 10 pcs a month which gives a profit of 5000 to a dealer, the low quality one sells 90 pcs which gives him a profit of 18000 a month. so a branded company also forced to manufacture low quality as people lack knowledge and prefers a cost effective one. so the consumer also must show a interest in buying a good quality one and should grow some knowledge as they can . then only we can avoid these kind of products in market. "so just blaming the companies in your videos is not a healthy one ,you show the difference between a good one but not sharing your opinion to buy a good one strongly", both companies and consumers both must understand some things and grow together ,its my opinion. Because i am also in a electronic manufacturing sector so in my experience people prefer the cost first and quality next as they lack awareness. only some brands come out of this issues but mostly good quality manufactures are affected as their price is slightly high and others supply in low rate and low quality. so at last consumers must prefer to buy a good quality comparing to price and brands .... its just my gentle opinion....

As you mentioned these ones waste 10 watts of power in standby. Better to go for an assembled stabilizer locally manufactured with good winding. It would be good to see the "Oscilloscope" output at different voltages. We could use a single 5kva one for the whole house so that we don't have to buy multiple stabilizers for individual appliances.
I have an A/C at home without stabilizer, and its working fine for the past 3 years, even with power flunctuations.
AC pcb incorporates SMPS itself. Maximum SMPS works 90 volt to300 volts.But the demerit in SMPS is any time it will damage. If we put stabilaizers before AC. It will reduce the failure rate of SMPS.
