      ignoring that things like NERF, paintball, and airsoft (where the exact point is to play with firearm-like implements), I do agree.
      I, however, believe that it is beneficial to everyone to teach kids how to safely handle firearms from a young age. more practice as a kid means more competence as an adult, which is literally just beneficial for everyone. there is no downside to it. _matter of fact, teaching gun safety through the medium of NERF or paintball means they'll not only learn the fundamentals of safely operating a firearm, but they'll also _*_play_*_ with those good habits, which is in-and-of itself beneficial._

    What makes this a horror during this time was the fact that EVERYONE including kids knew gun safety because it was literally taught in the class room from a young age.
    The show is called Alfred Hitchcock Presents and goes into horror, crime, and drama in a twilight zone fashion.
    The point of the episode was safe gun storage, and the importance of teaching firearms safety.

    Like firearm safety, teaching your family firearm safety, and putting your weapons in safe places where you can access them, but children couldn't

    The vast majority of gun owners teach their children firearms safety to avoid situations like this. Also this video is just that, a video. Those bullets dont even have primers.

    The amount of times you see stuff like this happen irl on like the news is insane though. Parents don’t pick up the signs their kids aren’t ready to handle firearms and think they’re toys. If you ever buy a gun and have a kid, they have to be caught up in how dangerous they are.
