The movie theatre business sort of ended itself. It used to be two movies with a cartoon intermission. It was that way for 50 - 60 years. Then the greed set in. They came up with the "multi-plex" idea, showed only one movie per ticket. They merged to form these major chain brands, doubled the price for a ticket and tripled the price for the snack bar. Streaming services like Netflix and Hulu were just the nails in the coffin, not the cause. Thanks Lyd! Another awesome video.
Hi there. This theatre back in the 70s and 80s was known as Movie World. It started out with 4 theaters and expanded to 5 then finally 6. I'm not sure when the name changed but I hope someone can restore this theatre soon. Leaving it abandoned will eventually ruin the inside to the point of major damage. This would be a great theatre to show classic movies from the 70s 80s and even 90s since Regal Theatre shows the current movies.
Good work again buddy! Sad to see movie theaters go under like that though. But, you covered every available angle and even included some ASMR phone-to-glass action as an extra treat! And Sunshine is a handsome feller! Sunshine should be your mascot, like the MGM lion! Glad you left the helpful "ain't nothin' there!" fellow, was fun and unexpected!
@ you’re so welcome! Your content is so real and genuine. A few RUclipsrs in this community obsess over this platform and fake happiness and excitement for views! That’s why I love your content! You come from the heart!
I still love going to the movies and go as much as I can (which is usually on their cheap ticket Tuesdays). Nothing like the smell of fresh popped popcorn and a movie on the big screen with amazing sound.
It's been a long time since i went to an actual movie theater. If i would have known that Netflix would have run the entire business model out of existent, i would have patronized more of these establishments. This one on the exterior is in quite good condition compared to most of the ones i see around the country. Great video.
Use to go to a cinema like this, way back, years ago. They would show the movies after the big cinema’s ha run them, get in for a couple of dollars and the concessions were a good price, too.
I used I go to movies a lot then of course they started closing one by one, even the drive-in places ...probably people streaming movies is a better less expensive option ?

my city used to have a movie theater called "cinema 8" until the mid 2000's. tickets were only $2.00. this was in rosenberg, tx.
Another nice video.
Merry Christmas to you and yours.

@Lydwetzel Welcome ! Goddess Lydia...!!!
Orange cats are the best ! What if you called the number on the lease sign and asked if they would let you in? It could happen !
I remember watching the re-release of the Starwars trilogy there.
I miss my cat Chaos. I had her for 14 years until she broke my heart. She was a slinky black queen. 😔😔
I’m sorry for the loss of your sweet cat 🐈⬛
Cafaro is apparently a major Ohio local commercial realtor and developer. They were touting Eastwood Mall Complex?
Yeah I noticed they own everything in the Niles area!
@ Lucky them! Lol

Very cool!
Thank you!
I wonder if this was owned by the same owner as the one in cincy.

I like her as well!

He’s pretty cool 🐈 😅
She has a beautiful pussy..cat..
I saw many a film in there.
Who was yelling?
A random guy that saw me filming. He assumed I thought the theater was open and told me they’re closed 😅

I would have thought that driving thru a theatre would almost be as bad as, if not worse than, arson - depending on how many people were inside. 🫤 🖋
