Shadow of Intent got to the point where it can make me smile in my worst days and absolutely surprise me. I dream to be able to share such passion with the world one day
I know people don't like black metal though you should check out Dimmu Borgir when they did a full orchestra set ruclips.net/video/xlD5zePSzdQ/видео.html there are full set videos this will give you good idea of what's going on.
This exactly...I've wanted to be a fan of them but I really don't like a lot of current death core bands, they are way to cringey for me...but I love me some traditional death metal and I had the same thought as you...I was like....this is a really nice balance of good death metal with some flavors of deathcore over top. Much better than the last album imo.
Deathcore is genre where everything is sounding so similar these days. But there's a few bands like SOI and FFAA that change it up and set the bar for the rest of genre. This song is so fun.

Man, this band is on another level. Melancholy is my favorite album in the last decade. If this song is anything to go by, this album might be even better!
Only just started listening to SOI (literally only heard like 4-5 songs) because of Wiseman and Currents being one of my favourite bands and HOLY FUCK all I can say is this slaps

Dude don’t know if you’ve done a video on them but The Reject of Humanity EP or The Black Sun single by I Valiance is a MUST! Released like 8 years ago but it’s still slaps
It's crazy seeing the guitar I bought last month in that vid. Great songs for sure. And an amazing guitar tuned at drop c and 26 1/2" scale. Awesome vid man!
I really like the more current deathcore guys that play around with more classical deathmetal (or melodeath) stuff and throw in symphonic elements. When done well it sounds really nice. This song and for example ''To the Hellfire'' and ''Of the Abyss'' from Lorna Shore come to mind as examples.
wow, I just clicked in this video thinking "hah, 'Intensified Genocide', this might be a cheap death metal song... why not" and now I have discovered my real passion in metal and my favorite band

Same here 😊🤘
I wish more people would check out metal. It is truly beautiful, exciting and disgusting.
Melancholy got me through my divorce
Imagine them playing live. With a real orchestra. 🤘
I would pay so much moolah for a ticket

Never even heard of them til saw the live with Whitehapel and BDM a few years ago. They got me hooked by how good they sounded live
im on them on concerte in Januar :D
They continue to evolve into a straight up death metal band.
I was thinking that too. Definitely more melo-deathcore, if there is such a thing. IMO Melancholy set the bar for Deathcore.
@@mwc821 melodic death metal is definitely a thing. which I think they're leaning more towards now.
@@mwc821 Reclaimer is a perfect example of melodic deathcore imo. Melancholy to me was the start of this shift into more traditional death metal.
I agree and couldn’t be happier. They’ll continue to get more technical, and melodic, and faster.

It was emoboi long when they released Malediction, hair does this thing called g r o w i n g
I personally don't think it fits him at all tho, he looked better with it the way it was in the Malediction music video

I saw Bryce tour with shadow! He nailed everything he played
Yea Bryce has def helped them before, but now that he gets to do his own original spin on SOI and it definitely didn't disappoint
Chris’ songwriting and Ben Duerr’s lyrics are the perfect duo
Also with such deep and heavy vocals it’s amazing how beautiful and polished Ben sounds. His enunciation is unmatched for me
