Wow. This is a seriously feature dense pedal, but all of it sounds musical, something that can be used in so many contexts without drawing attention to itself for the sake of a gratuitous glitch or pitch bomb. Thanks for the video, it was very insightful and quite inspiring. I particularly enjoy your video editing, I think it adds a cool side to the review! o/
Only one thing that could be improved is to have an option to allow you to alter the signal from dry to wet when the sustain pedal is activated on the Dream setting.
Mazklassa yes exactly my thoughts. I have to use some extra reverb earlier in my chain to compensate. Having the wet signal available in the sustain mode would be fabulous.
Maybe you already know by now, but yes, it can work as a freeze the way I think you're intending. That Pedal Show has a video with Walrus Audio where they demonstrate this.
I am a big fan of the Slo(tva). Watched this video already a lot of times. Amazing architecture-possibilities for modulated reverb. I recently also got the Bloodmoon and Chrome from Mr Black. It is also very good for modulated shoegaze verb. Very simple, no wave shaping possibilities but a very musical modulation and two voicings. It is a shoegaze beast as well. There are almost no video's about it. Maybe Mr Black-Jack can send you one :). And don't send Luka the Supermoon, Jack, because it can't get fully wet ( although it sounds heavenly ).
Can't say enough good stuff about the Supermoon Chrome. I have the Slo as well and love it. But when I just want to go big and spacey and shoegazy, the Chrome is usually my first choice. Just something about the combination of the huge sound and the simplicity of it that keeps me coming back.
Nice, another fan of Supermoon chrome style pedals. The Supermoon eclipse is +- the same but in stereo, that would be even more trippy. Surrounded by those sounds. @@vivanance
I already have an OBNE Sunlight at the end of my chain and I'm thinking about get this one to be my pre drive reverb. Should I go for it or get something more simple (holy grail) ?
How well does this run in front of an amp? I have a Toneking Imperial MKII (it has no effect loop) and I've been running everything into the front of it. Usually use my pedals for dirt.
Totally different pedals. The Dark Star is great first in chain. The bit crush mode is phenomenal. I would put the SLO near the end but it would bump my Neunaber
Great video and seriously dreamy pedal! But are the other pedals at 7:21 needed to reproduce most of the sounds here? Or is that just for this later section of the video?
Ok, in the latch mode sequence what is the pedal in the middle position?.... until I saw this demo I was thinking of the Immerse MkII but not any longer. This is the one...wow
i think they used a jazz chorus 40, but im not sure, anyway, i reccomend you the kuassa amp sims, i tried a lot of amp sims and the caliburn by kuassa was always the best
@@emeraldchan7770 tnx mate.. No I'm talking about switching from secondary mode to the normal one.. For example.. I'm in the dream mode and I want to go to warp mode.. The question is: to go back (from warp to rise for example) I have to press bypass button again?
Angelo Pietrantoni flicking the switch gives you dark, rise, and dream. Flicking the switch after the bypass button is pressed gives you sine, warp, and sink applied to the previous mode that you’re on. So you can get dark mode + sine wave, or dark mode + warp, or dark + sink to give some examples.
The left set of modes is the 3 different types of reverbs. And the right set is three different types of modulations that can be applied to each reverb.
On the secondary modes... if I first toggle to dream mode, then hold down bypass to access secondary and switch the toggle to sine...my first function still is in dream mode right? It wont switch to dark along with sine, right?
Anyone else having white noise problems with these? Got one for Christmas and I'm running it through a 1spot truetone CS12 and it was pretty damn noisy
@@cesarlima88 not sure honestly. Walrus emailed me back and said they'd look at it but by then I had found out that in order to use swell the pedal couldn't be run in the FX loop and that just didn't make sense to me and I didn't want it in the pre amp so I just didn't go back to it. I've seen a ton of complaints from it. It sounds REALLY really lush but I just couldn't get over the small issues

Hi there.. Great video.. Only one question.. How do I back from secondary mode to the normal one?
You hold the bypass button to change the options on the secondary mode. Unless you’re talking about the sustain switch?

Before even going to the Amazon link: I bet this thing is gonna be at LEAST 200 bucks.
After going to the Amazon link: Yup. 200 bucks.
On the secondary modes... if I first toggle to dream mode, then hold down bypass to access secondary and switch the toggle to sine...my first function still is in dream mode right? It wont switch to dark along with sine, right?
no, accessing different waveforms won't change the mode you're in :)
Is this pedal okay for just normal style of reverb as well?
dream mode is a fairly norm reverb & in general with the x knob counter-clockwise the reverbs are more tame
