You are the best. My wife passed away 2 years ago, bought 2 Cosori's this year, found you and bought your cookbook, fridge magnets and subscribed to Cathy's Video Recipe. You make my life much simpler than firing up the charcoal BBQ for dinner. Thank you Cathy
Aw, I am so sorry to hear about your wife! I also lost my mom two years ago... my dad eats dinner at my house weekly (and my sisters feed him each week as well) so he hasn't had to figure out cooking. I am so glad I have been able to help simplify your life! Thanks for sharing that with me! ❤️
Watching you is a real godsend because I'm a newbie to the air fryer I learnt so much from watching your videos frozen chips in the airfryer are even better than buying from a chippy
My husband bought me my first air fryer, a 4qt Ninja, yesterday, for my 70th birthday. So far, I am loving it! Your videos are really helpful and on the binge watch list.
Small batch bacon is good in air fryer, but for a whole package I flour lightly on parchment paper and use oven. No turning necessary and fat renders well for crispy bacon.
I cut chunks of red/yellow peppers, potatos, red onion, garlic and Italian sausage (these I cut into thirds), toss with olive oil and spices and roast them up in the air fryer. So quick, little mess and delicious.
Frozen battered food is great in an air fryer/convection oven. Just turn it over half way through cooking and put it on a rack if possible. Fried fish, prawn cocktails, fish cocktails, calamari, onion rings and more come out great if they are already battered and frozen.
I pulverize dried mushrooms in the blender. I spread Mayo on chicken or pork and then dust with the ground mushrooms. This goes in the air fryer turns out much like breading. It’s good for folks avoiding gluten or flour.
A little tip for the broclli or anything that dries out - pour a little layer of boiling water at the bottom (without it touching the food). It will steam the foos and help keep it mosterized. I do it with chicken breast all the time, and it works with a lot of things.
Would blanching in hot water before air frying work. Soaking in bowl of hot water for few minutes . I do this before oven cooking. Now I live alone am considering a small air fryer.
I tried fresh broccoli in my air fryer and it wasn't the best, so I never thought of doing frozen broccoli. Thanks for the advice, I'm going to give it a go.
Salmon, game changer! Never have I ever eaten salmon as delicious as it comes out of the airfryer. Buns, or bread, it sometimes stick to the heat element. I guess the fan does that, doesn't it? I still have to try chicken thighs. It's been 10 months since my son gifted me a Cosori, and I am so happy with it. And so happy I found you when I started using it. You are a genious!!! Thank you. Keep the videos coming!
Buy a couple of cooking screen grids. I've got one made of plastic that's rated for food and oven. They're heavy enough to keep things from floating up into the fan. You can also use them as splash guards for other things. You can also buy short metal skewer that fit your model when they're vertical.
I have 5 air fryers and live alone :) One is a french door AF and I use it for bigger foods or skewers and it also cooks whole chickens and has a rotiserrie function. One is a little 2 qt that is perfect for a couple of hot dogs or heating stuff up, your typical AF. One is a bigger version by Dash that is 2.8. It is okay but not like my smaller one. One is more like a grill that can cook 12" pizzas and cakes and so on. Then I have another 2 qt at my office so I can heat up left overs or cook chicken breast or pork/salmon/steak chunks in it. My friend and I have created our own little kitchen in an empty cubicle with a lunch crock, air fryer and 3 foot fridge hahaha I am new to your channel and will be watching all of your videos.
I've had my 2.5 qt AF almost a year. Your videos hands down have taught me a lot, so Thank You 😊 My convection toaster oven is getting jelly cuz I haven't used it as often as before. I can now make perfect Toasted mini cinnamon bagels, fresh homemade potatoes as cottage or french Air Fries, peppers & onions too. Juicy (from frozen) angus beef burger patties, med pink inside, roasted vegs too. Some times I feel like I eat 1 course at a time, reminds me of far east cultures 😊 I do have your wonderful cookbook & my fav from there so far is AF "boiled" Eggs. Gonna try pork loin soon😋& YES, SALMON is da bomb, a little splash of luquid smoke on it takes me to my childhood in Alaska & the way my mom made salmon mmm. Thank you for your continued lessons.
I am new to the air fryer world and your channel and got my cheat sheet yesterday from Amazon and is awesome! It is a lot sturdier than I thought it was going to be and it was the only cheat sheet that told you the internal temperature.
I agree 100% with steak in the air fryer! It's restaurant quality! Perfect every time! I'm no longer over/under cooking it on the grill! 😋😋 Also, I love the texture of an air fryer baked potato with crispy skin!
I like to make Sheet Pan style meals in my air fryer, especially in the summer. i find they're a good way to "use what I got" in the fridge/freezer and, since my air fryer is rather large, I can make quite a lot of food with less stress...
I have a Ninja Foodie 4 in 1 indoor grill with air fry and It does all it's features to perfection. That thing is a wonderful tank of an air fryer and super easy to clean. Best part is, no PTFE no stick coating, it's all ceramic coating. I hear nearly all other air fryers use that awful PTFE coating that doesn't last 6 months. You should really try a pork schnitzel in the air fryer. 350 C for 10 mine and you are in schnitzel heaven
I do love you give great ideas to try in the air fryer.. I like 90 percent of people, was just using it for wings but because if your videos I now have done ribs, Italian sausage stuffed mushrooms, Clam strips, potatoes, and more.. Just all around good ideas to try..
I cooked Cornish hens in my air fryer. Ohhhh so good. I just happened upon your video. I am going to subscribe and look at your recipes as I am new to the air fryer. I do agree about the bacon. I won't make it any other way. I have even wrapped bacon around a hot dog and that is awesome. Thank you for your great ideas.
The air fryer is great for leftovers, but after living for six months without a microwave one time, I learned that you can heat pretty much anything up by some other method and it's always better. If I had to pick one appliance to live without, the microwave would be the first to go. Would take my air fryer over the microwave any day. If you have leftover pasta with a sauce, try putting it in a ziplock bag and setting it in some boiling hot water. Squish it around now and then. SO much better that way.
Learned so much on this channel! Burgers and steaks are the best in the air fryer! And this is coming from a cattle ranc- her! Use my instant vortex plus air fryer everyday!
I'm not sure about bacon in the air-fryer. I've tried it 4 times but now I've reverted back to my big old frying-pan method. I still do love my air-fryer though.
Hi Cathy!!! Thank You so...much for all these great tips.I have your Cheat-Sheet...it's alot of help for me. I'm always afraid to cook meats in my Air Fryer. Your meats always look really delish...Great Video!!!...🦋
Hmmm You missed *Egg rolls *Pot stickers *Fried rice with leftover rice and diced veg & leftover chicken *Cabbage rolls *Denver omelettes are sooooo fluffy (you just have to flip them from one parchment liner to a second one *Fish of any kind including battered *Chicken burgers *Sausages of any kind. Breakfast, Italian or any sausage really just poke couple holes in each one *Open faced grilled cheese *Grilled tuna melts *Pizza buns *Meatballs *Chicken fries *Battered zucchini sticks *Roasted garlic cloves wrapped in foil and sprayed with avacodo oil *Grilled stuffed tomatoes *Heating up leftovers of any kind
I LOVE chicken wings and turkey wings, my favorite part of the birds!!! Thanks for showing all the things that are possible in the AF.....I enjoy your channel and always learn something new!!!
Just subscribed! Love the channel. Not sure if anyone suggested this yet, but....SCALLOPS!! Oh yes, done in a Ninja (I know - boo hiss...LOL) Absolutely love air frying!! Looking forward to what new ideas you bring. Thank you for the channel!!!
Great to know about the fresh broccoli. I thought it was me with my old air fryer. Might try frozen which I typically don’t like because it gets mushy with my new air fryer.
Basically the air fryer is suitable for food rich with fat, which broccoli/rice/lean meat, for example, doesn't have. Battered food also has this challenge, however I saw several YT shows battered food from scratch cooked by air fryer, I am not sure it is ture but yes I have my doubts. Great channel, thanks for the great content!
fried chicken! I roll the pieces in pork rind crumbs and they come out soo crispy and juicy. No oil needed. Cook according to chart. NO pork taste and it's carb free!
Bacon, chicken thighs, roasted veggies, reheating sourdough pretzels(omgosh), browning a sous vide steak. Chicken thighs was my first airfryer love it. ❤
Bacon, frozen fries, baked potato, salmon, catfish, chicken wings are great in my Ninja air fryer. Fresh brocolli not- good burns. Thank you Cathy Lori Schreiner
Hard boiled eggs in AF are A+ easy. Eggs at room temp. Cook at 260 for 16 min. Let cool, no ice bath. Peel without any difficulty Try it, you wont be sorry.
Fresh mushrooms! Slice or quarter (or leave whole if small), mix with a little oil, balsamic vinegar or red wine, minced garlic, minced onion, maybe a little thyme and black pepper, and air fry at 380F for 20-30 minutes, stirring halfway, depending on how you like them. I like them al dente, so I usually cook them closer to 30 minutes. SO much better than canned! I'll cook up 8 ounces of mushrooms at a time in my 5-quart or 6-quart Gourmia air fryer, and then keep them in the refrigerator to mix into rice or top other dishes like pizza or salmon. Speaking of salmon, skin-on salmon is terrific in the air fryer. use parchment paper (I use a reusable silicone liner) and start your salmon skin side up to put a crisp on it, then turn it at the halfway mark. I'm also the least picky eater in my family, so I like to use my air fryer to make small quantities of foods that the rest of my family won't eat. Without the air fryer, I'd probably never enjoy them, because most of those foods take too long or too much effort to cook by other means. Case in point, last week I made up some of your eggplant parmesan bites.
I should try searing a sous vide steak in the air fryer and see how it goes. Tough roasts may not work in air fryer, but are great with sous vide. Seared in cast iron pan, then sous vide overnight and a rump roast comes out with tender juicy slices.
I love all your ideas, I am slowly going beyond chicken wings and potatoes. You seem to have a beautiful large family…how many air fryers do you need to all sit down together and eat? My go to for more than two people is still the oven or BBQ.
I just got a air fryer. It's a chefman turbofry touch 2q digital air fryer. Can I do the same thing with the meals you talked about. I want to cook a Cornish hen in it. I'm new to this. I did a steak yesterday but I think I cooked it to long. I wanted a medium rare but end up medium. I don't know what I did wrong.
I always burn or under cook (or somehow both) a simple grilled cheese sandwich on the stove top. In the air fryer, they are always absolutely perfect. (OK I ruined one before I got the time and temp right on the 2nd try).
Have to say the burgers are so much better.. And cooking my ribs in a slow cooker overnight,. Then 8 minutes in the air fryer results in a really nice bark . Now for those with a grill by all means do it. Tues for us apt dwellers with no access to a grill , this method gives you a really nice plate
I just posted a handle melting problem with the Cosori Pro II in your video of that model. I'm posting here as that was an older video and I don't know if you read comments or have the time to read comments from older videos. I won't go into details here but there is a problem with the basket handle melting on the Pro II. I bought mine in January of 2022 and the area that attaches the basket to the handle on my Pro II recently melted off. I thought maybe it was a fluke happening and ordered a replacement off Amazon but then I saw your video about the Cosori recalls and even though you stated the Pro II wasn't recalled I checked Amazon reviews and the basket is a problem. There are multiple reviews with photos of melted handles just like mine. Sadly, I threw away my basket without taking a photo. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
I have a cast iron skillet that's why....I also have a crockpot and a instant but I don't use the instant because I almost burn down the house using a pressure cooker.
My oven broke after I started using my air fryer. That was four years ago, and I rarely miss it. I have a dual blaze and I use it many times a day. YES!!!!! STEAK IS AWESOME IN THE DUAL BLAZE
I have an air fryer that is okay, however I am thinking of buying a new one preferably one that doesn’t have a plastic type smell. Which one do you recommend? Thanks 😊
I have a buying guide that helps you decide. At the end of it I share the best air fryer for different types of situations. You can find that video here: ruclips.net/video/WsLvqRGR5g4/видео.html - hope that helps!
i am so dyslexic and top on a diabetic one plus 81 but wa told i need this. i bought a instant vortex plus it came yesterday hope i did good. now to get a frend to read book for me.should 9i keep or send back to amazon? pleas help
Yes but I recommend freezing them first. I made some Lumpia before and put them in the airfryer Lumpia is a Filipino style eggrolls. I have not try putting them in airfryer without freezing them first.
Hi, I bought your cookbook and tomorrow I was going to make honey garlic, chicken and veggies. I’m listening to your video now and you clearly say do not cook fresh broccoli in the air fryer in this video. However, on your recipe for the cookbook, you say 2 cups of fresh broccoli florettes. Which is it? I’m confused.
Thanks for buying the cookbook! That is one of the first recipes I developed for the air fryer... since the broc is in a marinade, it will be a little better than just cooking them as is. But if you're leary, just sub out the fresh for frozen.
Considering the size of your family, how come you've never invested in or have demonstrated one of the many air fryer ovens that not only air fry but roasts, bakes, toasts, etc.? I own an Instant Omni Plus and I love it (except for always preheating).
WHAAAAATTTTT........ Grandchildren Saturday tea time we have chicken bites and fries or sausages and fries in fact anything and fries. It's what airfriers were invented for!

13 minutes in a steamer. Less time, perfect peel, eggs direct from the fridge.
What would the time be for apples and what temp
LOVE YOUR RECIPES AND KIDS!!!!!💚💚
Thanks, they are my favorite taste testers!
I have had my Af for litterally 4 days and am having so much fn=un. Finf=ding your channel has been a blessing, thanks for all the tios and advice
Can I reheat muffins in the air fryer? What setting/temp/time would you suggest?
I would never make hamburger patties any other way. With the air fryer they are perfect every time.
Yessss!
Just started burgers with air fryer..Awesome .. Just forget as mentioned many sites put a dimple in the center of the burger. Does make a difference
If you were to be making 1/4 pounders
What temp and for how long?
I need to graduate from just fries 😊
Thank you!
Fresh mushrooms! The salmon made my mouth water. Yummy.

😲 wow!
😂😂😂
I already do that 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂❤
I'm so glad I found your videos 😊 your videos help so much. I'll be back. You're the best. Columbia SC
I do all of these in the air fryer, so freaking good! 😂

If we have everyone home, we usually pull out two air fryers. It depends on what I'm making! Good job expanding your air fryer menu!
I just got a air fryer. It's a chefman turbofry touch 2q digital air fryer. Can I do the same thing with the meals you talked about. I want to cook a Cornish hen in it. I'm new to this. Greek lemon potatoes in the air fryer is the best.
Oh that sounds yum!
Sounds lovely.
Air Fryer
Bacon - definitely

Steak - absolutely
what type of steak? sirloin? how long/temp?
i ordered the pages to show time used for cooking. ordered a time back and has not arrived, hope it is not lost in delivery.
The other night, I wrapped fresh asparagus with bacon and did two bacon baking times, they were delicious!
We love fresh broc, caul, and sprouts in the air fryer!
Will you do some reheating like wings
Have to say the burgers are so much better.. And cooking my ribs in a slow cooker overnight,. Then
8 minutes in the air fryer results in a really nice bark . Now for those with a grill by all means do it. Tues for us apt dwellers with no access to a grill , this method gives you a really nice plate

Do you have a video on how to clean your air fryer
My oven broke after I started using my air fryer. That was four years ago, and I rarely miss it. I have a dual blaze and I use it many times a day.
YES!!!!! STEAK IS AWESOME IN THE DUAL BLAZE
That is awesome! Four years without an oven... the air fryer is a blessing to you for sure!
What about frozen vegetables from Costco?
I have an air fryer that is okay, however I am thinking of buying a new one preferably one that doesn’t have a plastic type smell. Which one do you recommend? Thanks 😊

Can u dehydrate in an airfryer?
Yes! I dehydrate lemon and lime slices. 180 for maybe 2-2 1/2 hrs . Turning every 30 min. It all depends on what you’re dehydrating.
@ thank you for the response and if you don't mind what are the settings for beef jerky
According to my DK instant pot cookbook, beef jerky should be dehydrated at 62 c / 145 f for 8 hours.
@ thank you for the response and the answer
The Baked Potatoes of the gods!!!
Breaded pork chops and chicken, a little spray of oil makes them awesome.
Very nice!
Love your videos sweetie. Thank you
Aw, thank you!
I do bacon on a rack on a sheet pan in my gas grill.
Bacon is a must in the Air fryer

Instant Vortex is a fine air fryer! It isn't my personal favorite, but it will get you the results you want!
Pastry - I buy turnover/croissants and put them in the freezer, then re-heat them in the air fryer 350 for @4 mins. Flaky and perfect.
Oh you are right! Those are nice and fast in the air fryer!
Can you make home rolled egg rolls in the air fryer
Yes but I recommend freezing them first. I made some Lumpia before and put them in the airfryer Lumpia is a Filipino style eggrolls. I have not try putting them in airfryer without freezing them first.
Yep! I have some videos doing egg rolls. THey are in my older vids from 2021.
I bought my air fryer in an effort to not burn my house down ... best move I ever made!! 😂😂😂
😂 So did I ❤
😂
Je suis entièrement d'accord avec vous,il y a moins de gras
thank you
Fries absolutely
Considering the size of your family, how come you've never invested in or have demonstrated one of the many air fryer ovens that not only air fry but roasts, bakes, toasts, etc.? I own an Instant Omni Plus and I love it (except for always preheating).
I've had a hard time finding one I like! BUT this week I have two I'm unboxing and testing out!
How about turkey bacon?
Brussel sprouts are best in the air fryer.
Doesnt bacon splatter grease all over air fryer?
breakfast sausages are good
I have never ever made frozen french fries in my air fryer. 😅
WHAAAAATTTTT........
Grandchildren Saturday tea time we have chicken bites and fries or sausages and fries in fact anything and fries.
It's what airfriers were invented for!
@fabianmckenna8197 I am definitely going to have to try it. I always just make my own homemade potatoes in it.
Bacon is perfection in the air fryer. I cut large chunks of fat off it first.
Yes on bacon. In the air fryer there’s no undercooked bacon ends.
I have never made fries or chicken nuggets in my air fryer. I make steak, pork chops, and chicken in there. I need to broaden my horizons.
I have found that much likr broccoli, fresh asparagus reacts much the same.
I dont like my Air Fryer...its big on the outside but the basket is to small....I'm going to get a Cosori soon.
Oh bummer! I'm curious - which air fryer do you have?
Bacon looks like it would be so greasy, i tried cooking some brats and it got so much greasy it started smoking up the house.
Exspecially?
Which is your favorite air fryer?
I have a few different ones that I use for different reasons. My favorite air fryer is the one I have developed in my head! Ha ha! :)
