  • In this final sermon in the book of James from 5:13-20, Pastor Mark preaches on faith while doing ministry including with those who are suffering, cheerful, sick, sinning, weary, and doubting, and closes the series with the idea of never forgetting to find the lost sheep.

I really, really enjoy Mark's teaching. I'm so thankful for it. I wish I could move to Arizona and serve at his church.

Imagination does scare science lovers and most christians are afraid of what could be classified as oldest Devine truth in all man. Ecclesiastes 3:15: “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been; and God seeks what has been driven away.” The “natural man” cannot grasp that, for to him reality is based only on the evidence of the senses. The man of reason could justify the verse’s end, saying if it has any meaning then the writer must mean recurrence. The sun comes every day and the moon completes its cycle and the seasons come and go. If we took a picture of the universe today, the scientists can compute how long it will take to return to this point in the picture. So the intellectual man could justify the verse; but that is not what is meant, for it is addressed not to the man of reason or the man of sense, but to the man of Imagination. What is it all about? “That which is, already has been; that which is to be, already has been, and God seeks what has been driven away.”

I love how this was a wonderful grace filled sermon and all you can do is throw stones. Check your motives, brother. Welcome Pharisee.

@@JeremyHdotcom Unless Driscoll has publicly repented of his very public sins, and gone above and beyond to reconcile and make amends with the people he hurt, he has no business pastoring anybody. That's a fact. And if you're going to accuse me or anybody of being a Pharisee, don't throw your own stones in order to do it, like you did. Just ask the question, are you the publican or the Pharisee.
