- An earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale struck Taiwan on Wednesday, triggering a tsunami in Japan's Yonaguni Island. This is the strongest earthquake to hit Taiwan in 25 years since a 7.2-magnitude temblor struck the country's Nantou county in 1999, killing more than 2,500 people and injuring over 1,300 others.

I am in Taichung right now , we are safe now , no harm at all. I also pray for others to be safe , Thanks to Taiwan government presidential alert warning ⚠️ system for prompt safety alert on time and earthquake resistant building that keep us safe. It was really very powerful earthquake , my trolley bag fell from top of my cupboard. It’s really hard 😢
