I love Chris Young. This song is a older song of his and this is when I started loving Chris. Love this song. Kelly Clarkson song i cry everytime I hear it. Carry song I don't know.
I love Chris Young. I have met him several times and he is real cool. And equally nice to look at! Gave me a hug a couple of times. Met his stepdad too who is funny. Good dudes.
The Kelly Clarkson song hits home for me because my parent's divorced when I was 10 and I live in Minnesota and my father got remarried and moved to Maryland within a year so when she talks about being at the airport and her father leaving her in his past, DAMN!!! HITS ME IN THE FEELS!!! I feel blessed that my mom met a WONDERFUL man to show me that a Dad could be kind and stay. I don't call my 1st dad "Dad" I call my step dad "Dad" because he has been there for my sisters and I more than the other one. This song is sad at the beginning but happy at the end. Thank you for showing us that you're a REAL man and not afraid to show emotions!!! Love watching your reactions!!! Hope you don't stop for a long time.
A midtempo pop song about restoring someone's faith in love and family relationships, Clarkson promulgated "Piece by Piece" as a sequel to the song "Because of You" (2004) but with a "happy ending". After a discussion with her sister about their family life, she introspectively co-wrote the song in a first-person narrative to her father, whose neglect of his family was used as a juxtaposition to her husband's unconditional love for her and their daughter, whom they both promised to never abandon. I was at this American Idol performance where she announced that she was in her words "super pregnant", which was partially why she was so emotional.. She had all of us in tears...
Great jams! Truth in the deep words! The man I want to be so deep. Cry pretty is me all day. I became disabled, tryin to hide the pain. Truth in the words
BillyYouSoEmotional I’m right there with you. Kelly was 8 1/2 months pregnant in that performance on American Idol. I think it made that song hit even closer to home because of that.
Ive always listened to my elders and thats why people come to me for help cause i listen to what others did and ill help them in any way i can. I will give the shirt off my back or give them a job till they get on their feet
Oh dear Lorddd... I made it through till those last 30 seconds of Piece By Piece and the tears burst out... Hooweee that hit hard. Haven't heard that song in years, since maybe even elementary.
My 1st stepdad, meaning the first one already took off. . My 3rd dad stepped in and stepped up. He’s a great dad. He treated me as his own and I’ll always know how great he is to me. I love and am grateful for him every single day. ❤️ you Dad
Thank you! I had never heard piece by piece before this. I grew up with the best dad he worked so hard to support 5 kids and his wife but was always there for everything despite always having to work. Even when my world fell apart as an adult because i married a man he told me not to be never said I told you so. My ex husband is not a good man and hurt my daughter and now lives on the street killing himself slowly. My daddy went with me to court when they tried him for child abuse and held my hand. I told my ex on that day my daddy is my hero but to your daughters you are the monster and that breaks my heart.
BillyYSC - I absolutely love your faith and that you're man enough to speak openly about it. I'm 68, white, female -- and sadly, I didn't get saved until I was 44. But I rejoice in His Presence every day! And I know you do, too! May God bless you abundantly!
I can't watch Kelly sing that song without crying, because my father left me at 6 yrs old and I try to stay connected but he won't even answer his phone or door when I travel 3+ hours to see him in St Louis, I couldn't even get him to walk me down the isle! My uncle had to trick him, to get him to my wedding! He has 6 kids, but only cares about 3, my children never dealt with feeling unwanted, Thank God for my husband, and his father loved me as if I was his own and he had 9 kids, that song is my go to for a good cry!
My dad left when I was 16 months old. I met my husband when I was 9 years old, but stated dating him when I was 16. We have been together 32 years and he would never leave us.
When it comes to piece by piece I’ve been in the same place twice really hits home haven’t really had the second parent who cares as much as her step parent did. But I do relate with her because when it comes to searching for a man the first thing I look for is a good father figure for my future children especially after a loss with a boy who destroyed me.
Some people get mad at this story, but I love to tell it and proud to have her in my life and honored to have been able to care for her. Her name was Willlie and my great, great, great grand father bought her before slavery was abolished. She was a very tiny person so no one knew exactly how old she was when the bought her, she could have been 20 or 10. All I know is I was 10 years old when she passed away. Well, when I was about 9 she fell out of the bed and bumped her head and for two weeks we learned more about history than we ever did in school, and I wish we had recorded her, because two weeks later she feel out of the bed and never said another word. I can honestly say I miss her.
Cry pretty. You can weep, you can sob, you can make no sound at all. Or you can ugly cry. But crying is cathartic, and should be embraced by everyone. Even those of us who would rather wrap our blanket of rage around ourselves, choosing anger and apathy over everything else.
I took a fully clothed shower the day my brother died. Everyone gathered at my house...his wife, kids, my parents, my kids. I needed a place to get away and cry. I didn't even think about it...just walked into the shower and turned it on to cover the sound of me crying.
My grandmas sue will be 103 in November she still lives alone works a 3 acre garden every day and drinks a fifth of old charter every weeken n goes dancing so I know she’s doin something right lol but she’s a great great great great grandmother she’s outlived 2 husbands n 3 children n 4 grandchildren but she loves watching ur reactions with me I’ll never know how she does it but she’s a great lady and saw so much change in her life it’s unreal when I think of it like that
i met chris young when i was 12 in a walmart lmfao he was a super nice dude, the local radio station had him out there singing in the middle of the store and signing autographs
I had a friend who went through something like this. It was terrible to see that happen to her at such a young age. I had great parents so it was such a shock to see that people could treat each other that way!
Cry Pretty is one of the songs Carrie actually wrote about something she is going through. Carrie took time off of touring when she miscarried. She went through a serious depression and wrote this song and a couple others about her struggling.
Got to see chris young when he first came out with this album, at the strawberry festival in Florida, 2011, looking back had no idea he would be so big now. And have such great songs! This whole album i feel like is so underrated, it’s so good! Voices is a good one you should react too!
As someone who’s dad was everything they could ask for, for my 37 years with him, I don’t relate to this song. But Kelly Clarkson is so good, so raw and so beautiful with the lyrics that I feel every single ounce of her pain in this song.
This song is a personal song for her. It’s about her life and how her father left and wanted to come back after she became famous. And how she will never do that to her daughter.
My mom left my *** (sperm donor) when I was 2yrs old. I remember wondering why I didn't have a dad. Then my mom met her bestfriend. With that relationship I was shown what a real dad is. Then when I was 11 the state contacted my mom to say my farther had passed away and that I had older siblings who were told about me, they told me my dad said he had no other children (this was said on his deathbed) every day I thank my dad for showing me what the name dad means. Any man can be a father it takes a real man to be a dad
That's Kelly's real life story and this was her first public performance of it. AND she was about 8 months pregnant. One of the most real, raw performances I've ever seen.
Piece by Piece always hits me as I have a father who walked away, Sadly history repeats itself with my ex walking out on our 2 daughters. Thankfully my husband has stepped up and been a wonderful father to my girls!
Kelly’s song... very relatable for me, but by the grace of God my faith & relationship were restored in my biological daddy and my heart was mended. Then I was blessed by two great men who loved me.
As the Matriarc of our family, I don't cry in front of any of my family but my husband, and even then, I have to be very heart broken. I do cry in the shower, but not fully clothed. My family usually doesn't know how much I cry because I don't want them to. For me, crying is very personal and very few have seen me do it.
🤘👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😍🥰😍😇🙏🧡💛💞💖💝💗💜💙yes I agree with you that's the only way you can learn this power estimate of people that been two things you haven't been through
I’ve done a fully dressed shower. My father as in the hospital with a 75% chance of living; and if he did, 95% chance he’d be a vegetable. Also, it was 9/11 and I was 13 yrs old. Got home in such a daze I just turned the water on so my siblings wouldn’t hear me balling my eyes out. The I just got in, shoes and all. My pops made pretty much a full recovery, he still here.
I was in an abusive relationship and the bathroom was a place I’d retreat to and we were in a bad fight and I climbed in the shower fully clothed and cried. I stayed there like that until the water ran cold. This song probably touches so many people. I pray everyone has found healing in their lives. 💛
BillyYouSoCrazy thank you. 💛 we don’t always know we deserve better until we are out of that situation, but it’s helped me seek happiness more than ever. Binge watched you well into 3 AM and I’m subbed! Thanks for all your hard work and effort you put behind your videos. 😊
yes billy i have the day my sister died there was a house full of people and i had tried to be strong for everyone else but finally broke stepped in the shower turned on the water and cried until i was cried out got out and went back to being strong
My father didn't try to see me from age 5 to 15. When he brought me to spend the summer with him when I was 15 I begged to stay because my stepfather was a violent alcoholic. He said no and sent me back so I ended up in foster care. So yeah... This song hits me in all the feels even 40 years later. I'm a KC superfan so do ALL the Kelly!!!
Believe it or not, I've done the fully clothed shower thing. It's when the depression is raging so hard and you need to cry hard after a really bad day, you don't even have the energy to undress, you can't make it to the bedroom, all you can do is just go into the bathroom, climb in the shower, crank the water on so others can't hear you & just let it out. You don't want to worry anyone else, but you just can't hold it in anymore. You don't care about the clothes, they're gonna be washed anyways.
I love chris young. He's my favorite country artist. I'm obsessed with him...
Great reaction, as usual Billy! Very honest! My favorite reaction person
I cry every single time I hear this.....I relate way to much to this song.
I love Chris Young. This song is a older song of his and this is when I started loving Chris. Love this song. Kelly Clarkson song i cry everytime I hear it. Carry song I don't know.
Piece By Piece is very relatable ...
Love all these artists and songs.
His voice is so classic!
Also, pay phones were essential for our beepers!. Yes, I am really showing my age.. all good memories left..
Chris Young, Drowning... reminds me of my late sister.
Yes.
This song is so true
This is Emotional Song
I love Chris Young. I have met him several times and he is real cool. And equally nice to look at! Gave me a hug a couple of times. Met his stepdad too who is funny.
Good dudes.
The Kelly Clarkson song hits home for me because my parent's divorced when I was 10 and I live in Minnesota and my father got remarried and moved to Maryland within a year so when she talks about being at the airport and her father leaving her in his past, DAMN!!! I can relate to that song so much I think that's why it touches so much.
Chris Young is man candy😍😍 my celebrity crush!
Yes I do relate to the song
The way Kelly whispers “worthless” is heartbreaking..💔😭
Billy, I totally relate to Kelly’s song. I’ve lived it and I cry every time I hear this song.
Celtic Woman Tir na nog, The blessing and Celtic Thunder Seven drunken nights, may the road rise to meet you.
i can say it hits home really hard
this is real country right here
Man I want to be is my Ringtone and one of my all time Favorites. I would recommend his songs Flowers and Drinking me lonely.
I've stood in the shower clothes when I felt a panic attack coming on at home. It helped shock me back and baths and showers are my happy place
Oh dear Lorddd... I made it through till those last 30 seconds of Piece By Piece and the tears burst out... Hooweee that hit hard. Haven't heard that song in years, since maybe even elementary.
That is a helluva man. Lead him right.
Chris Young Flowers & the Dashboard
It's ok to feel that way
Omg Billy this song will make you cry
Too relatable….🥺
Yes it happens.
My 1st stepdad, meaning the first one already took off. . My 3rd dad stepped in and stepped up. He’s a great dad. He treated me as his own and I’ll always know how great he is to me. I love and am grateful for him every single day. ❤️ you Dad
I love your reaction to Carrie Underwood. Very moving song.

The 2 best American idol winners. Not to diminish any of the others but damn their voices
Oh yes very relatable 💔
I can relate.
That was her first performance after hurting her mouth. She looked great.
You can tell you're an awesome dad.

True Storyline with Kelly
A honest good ole reaction is what you gave. So proud that you don't just see color like we should all do. Thanks billy

P by P relates to me in a very different way.. my Daddy passed 1 month to the day after I turned 4. He is waiting for me in Valhalla!
This song is a personal song for her. It’s about her life and how her father left and wanted to come back after she became famous. And how she will never do that to her daughter.
