This was years after I caught my boyfriend cheating with my best friend my senior year. I caught them skinny dipping at our favorite spot. I took their clothes without them seeing me. Took them down stream in the river, threw them into the river and watched them float away. Eent back to his car, since they came in his car, and took the spark plug wires and threw those in the river too. They had to walk 3 miles back to his parents house nacked.... His parents called her parents and both got into major trouble since both sets of parents new he was going steady with me.

Bought my ex some high end fog lights for his new truck. We were out, it was late, I wanted to go home, he wouldn’t take me. Asked repeatedly, was ignored. Told him he either took me home or I was going to walk. Got mad at me for walking out, followed me and tried to start a fight. Told him if he wanted to get mad about something I’d give him something to be mad about. Used the heel of my western boots to kick the fog lights and broke them. (I paid for them, I didn’t break anything but what I had bought and paid for.) Not proud of it, but I made my point. He realized I had been pushed too far and took me home.

Been cheated on by my ex, and cheating and lying does not happen by accident... it's an intentional choice. I did not seek revenge, I just walked away. For me, at that time, being single was so much better then being cheated on, lied to and disrespected. When you cheat on a good person whether it be male or female, it is like tossing away a diamond and picking up a rock.

When I left my ex, I was very petty BUT it was also over three years' worth of anger and pain coming out. You see, my ex abused me badly and put me in the hospital more times than I can count. He alienated me from everyone and everything I knew. When I finally left, I went crazy for a minute. I had just replaced the radiator in his Jeep so I cut a hole in it. I cut open his seats. I drained all of the money from "his" checking account (which was in my name). I grabbed my lock box from our house and went back to my mom's. When I got into the lock box at my mom's I found some pretty important things- his driver's license, birth certificate, social security card, and the title for his Jeep. I threw them all in a fire. I wish I could say I felt bad about doing all of that but... I don't.
I never did but when a friend found out her husband had been cheating she went home, stripped the bed, and washed everything in Tide. He was extremely allergic to Tide. He got in bed that night and within minutes was covered in hives and scratching his skin raw. She said she didn't know what could have happened. She's my hero.

I'm 62 and people did those things in the 70s too. I personally was a walk away girl. When I was done all they saw was my back and raised my daughters the same way. Though I was cheated on once and lied to once. My first husband cheated. Then A SSgt in the Air Force ( I was an Airman 3rd Class) told me he was divorced and even asked me to marry him. He was still married. It was all a game to him.

Yes, I did something petty once. My fiance, the mother of my child, left me for another man (this was about 22 years ago). She ask for all her stuff she had at my apartment. I politely boxed everything up for her, except her favorite cup .... I smashed it and put all the pieces in a zip lock bag. Not proud about it now, but back then felt somewhat vindicated.

My husband stayed out all night early in our marriage, I told him to never do it again. The next time he did it I changed all the locks in the house and set him up a very nice camp site in the back yard for the next week. He never did it again.
