@thebeatles114 yeah ment dissatisfied. That movie wasn't that good. Jerry is arguably the best comic ever. But his movie outings are just bad. Remember The Bee movie?
I'll definitely have to pick up Girlfight on my next trip! I got a bunch of David Lynch films, Dogfight, Bound, Good Morning, The Phantom Carriage, and The Heiress.
Awesome pickups, Tim! I’ve been debating whether I should pick up the Fear and Loathing 4K. I may get it in this sale or perhaps November. I saw All the Beauty and the Bloodshed this weekend and it’s a good documentary. I love documentaries. I too just saw The Princess Bride in recent years. I wish I waited for the Criterion 4K. Enjoy those pickups!
Great additions! Got Trainspotting myself. One of my all time favourite films!!! Funny Games is great too! Very shocking and subversive. The remake is made by the same director but I have only seen the original
@@timtalkstalkies Indeed. I’ve heard it’s more of a failed experiment but I might check it out at some point. I love most things Haneke has made except Happy End which didn’t really work for me
My Barnes and Noble hasn't had the Criterion blurays out and accessible for 2 years now. Makes going there to browse impossible and it sucks. They had maybe 20 unique titles and they're all kept behind the main counter now.
It’s so crazy how different so many store are. It’s a shame though that as a whole the company has carried less and less in their stores. You think for a month long sale they’d atleast send a little more stock to stores. They used to do that at my local one.
Have the Princess Bride Blu-Ray. Haven't revisited since purchasing. Personally didn't enjoy Trainspotting. Wouldn't say it was bad just not for me. Fear & Loathing somewhat similar for me. Haven't seen the others. Bound is on my to watchlist and will definitely have to check out Girlfight and especially Mudbound. Thanks for he recommendations and showing what you picked up.
Tim - For your 80s best community stream I had some questions. I understand that some of the files and information might be lost. However can you go through your recollections and the other compilers such as KB Loves Movies and determine an approximate number that Fletch was on the community list. I have dozens more questions about where particular movies placed but I'd like and appreciate you taking your best effort and finding those answers or approximating what number it was. I will be in the Scranton area later in the year and looking forward to finding some good deals in the area
I saw the remake of Funny Games definately not my kind of movie nihilistic and terrible not interested in seeing the original. But I did like Trainspotting
Straight up horror id go with the original Night of the Living Dead. That’s just such a classic. Something with a spooky theme, but is a comedy I enjoy Arsenic and Old Lace a ton. It’s not remotely scary but a good spooky season watch.
New addition you added so far is the bombshell fantasy love it great shelving job Tim it’s definitely thumbs up 👍 great work
Fantastic pick ups Tim! Added a few more to my list
Nice additions to the collection!
I love and appreciate your channel
Great pick ups, Tim. I just got a few of those myself. Have a good one.
Am searching for a vhs copy of Terminator
I'm in Japan right now, and the physical media sections here would make you weep. My plane's tail is going to be dipping on the way home.
Weep? I don’t weep 😭 unless I watch the movie 🍿 Unfrosted with Jerry Seinfeld
Weep with happiness or sadness? Is it possible with both?!!

Sorry I was replying to @nabuy's message!

My closest Barnes And Nobles, which is an hour away, is so crappy that it doesn't even bring movies!🤔 Good hunting and cool video Tim!👉🙂👈
That packaging for Trainspotting drives me nuts!
Yeah it’s an odd choice for sure. Wonder why they went that direction.

Really looking forward to All The Beauty and the Bloodshed. When it was nominated I had a hard time even finding it available to watch.

Oh dang had no idea the same director didn’t original and the remake. It’s always interesting when that happens.

I agree about Trial beautifully shot but it's out there keep running through my mind still don't know what it's about i have the 4k version
Yeah, I bought that movie in the November sale and I had a hard time following what was going on.
After hours and mean streets coming next week

Thanks for watching man. Mudbound is fantastic so I really hope you’d like it.
Great scoops. I saw Trainspotting and wanted to grab but the packaging made me leave it behind
It’s such an odd choice packaging wise. No idea why they made it so large.
@@timtalkstalkies that's what she said lol

Funny Games is going to be a movie you’re not going to want to revisit often either because it’s pretty visceral.
Yeah I’ve heard it’s like that. One I’ll need to be in the right frame of mind before starting it.
Wish my area had a Barnes and Noble. What is your favorite horror Criterion
Straight up horror id go with the original Night of the Living Dead. That’s just such a classic. Something with a spooky theme, but is a comedy I enjoy Arsenic and Old Lace a ton. It’s not remotely scary but a good spooky season watch.
@@timtalkstalkies What about The Others with Nicole Kidman
I like to pre order risky business
I got Pinocchio in 4k and Anatomy of Fall on bluray
Both GREAT releases.
When is the Arrow sale this year?? (2024)
Typically the Arrow sale is in October and will line up right before the November Criterion sale.
Dee Rees did Pariah but The Watermelon Woman waa Cheryl Dunye.
I appreciate the correction. For someone reason I was thinking Watermelon Woman was hers as well.
Tim hey
Is this VHS Tapes or CD?
It's Blu-rays, basically like DVDs but in better quality (DVD is 480p or SD, and Blu-ray is 1080p or HD). Some titles are 4K (2160p aka Ultra HD).
@@thaivong6620 thanks 👍
Girlfight is michelle Rodriguez first and only great film where she is the star
