I was the first one to be towed in and the one that invented being towed into waves, I was towed in by a 21 ft Sea Ray off the coast of California, my brother Steve was Towing me on my surfboard off the coast to Huntington and Newport, That's around 45 years ago someone invented it and it was me
Riding a perfect line at Jaws.... I used to surf there back in the 80's on a Town And Country 5 '10 Squash Tail, with a 2 + 1 fin setup. It was shaped by Nev Hyman... Still have it after all these years.... The waves at Jaws were off the hook.... 🤘
Never been there, but I’ve been surfing for 40 years. I’ve never seen a big wave spot that’s rideable on a day small enough for a 5-10 board. I guess Jaws is. Hard to believe a place with 50 foot bombshell is rideable in 4-5. BTW, by 2+1 do you mean a thruster?
Not quite as bad*ss a wave as the monster Laird Hamilton rode several years ago, but still a beast & completely respectable...tough one to judge too, the way it kept building and rolling without breaking!
