- With 12 hours noticed my friends Nathan Florence, Kohl Christensen and Zoard invited me on an Expedition to Skeleton Bay, Namibia. I traveled light, with Two Board bags = Kiteboard, Foilboard, 4 Surfboards, 7m Kite, 3.5m Wing. Would have loved to Windsurf it but the forecast didn't show as much wind as we got. Regardless, one of the most epic trips with Bog Wave Legends!

That opening shot was fabulous. The music was perfect throughout. Surfing goofy foot better than in my wildest dream and holding a camera in one hand, a kite in the other, so no need to walk back up the beach, or how about a foil, Kai is one talented genius!
This is properly nuts. Being the master of your craft in one pursuit is hard enough but Kai is a freak across multiple disciplines and he's not just making up the numbers, he's pioneering every space. It's inspiring to watch and uninspiring to reflect on my own mediocrity.
And he could have windsurfed it just as well.

Pretty sure he would have brought windsurf gear if it was convenient like wing/kite gear. I see him windsurfing at Ho'okipa regularly...it's the OG way for wind and waves.
He writes why he did not bring windsurfing gear in the description. Nonetheless, I think it's the best kite content I've seen from Skeleton Bay, totally wicked. Kai is one of a kind.

Howzit Kai, was hoping you went to Peru for the windsurf contest this week. I'd be shocked if you knew me by name, but you would recognize me and probably the dogs in my profile pic. I see you regularly at the beach and on the water...your girls are sure growing fast! I love the quality, length and frequency of your videos...it makes it hard to get enough or get burned out.

More on why I didn’t bring it. Forecast was saying one afternoon of wind which turned out to be every day of wind 🤣 Also, the chances all the gear was slim so I had to limit to two board bags. Next time I’ll just send it
