Even with a hard top.. I was just on Storm Mountain and I stuffed it between my Alien net top thing and the hard top. Worked fine. Even had the ability to tell my wife where I was in the canyon.
I run a soft top, too... & that's a great solution! Low tech mounts are the best! I'm thinking about Starlink for a trip I'm taking in 2025, so this is helpful. :)
If you're powering it off the auxiliary circuit, then the power is coming from the alternator/starter battery. Any concerns about draining too much power when parked? When I get mine, I expect I'll run it off the house battery.
The short answer is “it depends”, mostly how long will it be running for. I have it set to turn off at night and back on in the morning so it’s not draining the battery. If I am going to be someplace for a longer time, then I will use a power station
You’re putting out more content and information than 90% of the channels I’ve been following for years. Thank you sir.
I’ve had a lot going on and a lot of products I am testing for some big trips coming up.
I love an easy and inexpensive solution!
Thanks for sharing. I think this will work for me in my F150 as well. Take care!
Love having it we mounted it to my roof rack on my Tacoma
I didn't have a ton of options with the soft top. I'm just glad this worked out so well.

And now that I've watched further into the video.. you're doing the same :)
You got lucky on the mounting lol. I've been on the fence with purchasing one. Think I might just get it.
