ATMs have a minimum range of 120 meters. 3 damage to 270 meters, 2 damage to 500 meters, and 1 damage past 550 meters. So if you fire ATMs at 130-135 meters, you're golden. Great matches though!
Thank you! I always mess up the ranges between ATMs and LRMs. 120m is the real minimum range for ATMs as you said. I'm pinning this comment to the top so people will notice.
Glad to help! It's not very well stated, so it's pretty easy to end up lumping them with LRMs. One important detail for people to remember, the range finder to the right of your cross hairs is what matters for minimum range, rather than the one over your target.
And being the strange ducks they are, ATMs will also deal more damage further out if you use range nodes, so you can get those 3-damage shots out at further ranges if you invest in them. This will NOT increase the "deadzone", but will instead give you a safer range you can sweet-spot your launchers with.
Also the range modifiers from the skill tree affect the damage brackets on ATM's as well. So the 3 damage range can be extended to 297 meters with 15%. Happy atm scumming :)
Love this sort of build. Been running 2xATM12 and 5xMPL on my MAD-IIC for awhile, but it is susceptible to being torso'd and losing both launchers at the same time. This build is a little less mobile, but seems more durable.
I love this mech! My 2nd ever and my first assault; it wrecks. I run a different build, but 1000dmg+ matches are common. BA-B with 2 UAC10's, 1 UAC20, 4 heavy medium lasers, and ECM. 120 damage bursts absolutely shred at ~300m.
Once I read the Title of the Video. I knew you were Using ATMs. XD By the way. Min range for ATMs is 120m. LRMs is 180m. You can check this in testing grounds. You can see the min range of a weapon by pointing it at the Land. Your UI says the range at what your pointing at. And when your Weapon on the Bottom Right Greys out. It means it's under min ranged.
ATMs I say are OP for a reason. The Best counter you can have for them is AMSs. No sensor Stat is Going to save you from ATMs. Only Stealth armor could Perhaps. But that's only if the guy with ATMs doesn't have a tag. The Best and easiest way is to use AMSs. ATMs are easier to shoot down then LRMs simply because there are less Missiles flying with ATMs. Also you can dum fire ATMs with out Missile Lock. Just like LRMs. So Using stealth armor in a big mech. Or if you are Stationary. will not save you. AMS saves lives.
Any Blood Asp can run dual ATM12 using B-variant arms. The build won't be so optimal due to lower missile mount and less laser hardpoints. But it can be done. And you can have ECM and JJs, A2;E
I could'nt pay attention to the second match all that much, after I heard you say the "F" word! Elsewise, those ATMs are splendid; nice close range weaponry!
In your first match, you got a lot of damage from an Artillery Strike, so that misrepresents the 'mech build a little bit, but still a very impressive build. (Although not the Solaris Miracle I was hoping it would be :) ).
I always live on the edge ;) I've found that I rarely die or lose components doe to Artys, but I die almost all the time by damage from the front. Hence armor forward ;)
0:55 actually at this point the team fucked over the ANH they usually move at 48 KPH so by the time 2:42 rolls around he didnt have a fighting chance. It's not that he was straggling or stopped to shoot like TTB said. IDK why He acted like a potato blaming him when he's the one editing the video and can clearly see the whole team left him in the dust. We can have a debate over his fault for taking an ANH or not but TTB is misrepresenting the situation because he wants to chase cookies and upload a high damage match.
My most played mech is the Annihilator. I'd say I know pretty well what it can do, and how fast it is. The player in question was slow at the start (afk? bad pathing?). He could have been at the right side of the castle 30 seconds before his time of death, which would have meant out of line of fire of the side push that hit him. Bottom line: He was too slow, and probably an inexperienced pilot as I'd expect anyone to go down with more than 110 damage deal, even if you get semi-rushed by two enemy assaults. And I most assuredly will not apologize for pushing hard to win the match. And of course I want to upload a high damage match, or do you think there is an audience for watching me afk for 5 minutes, then go over to entertaining zoomed-in-try-to-hit-that-light-mech-circling-me, ending with 50 damage done and 10 minutes of everyone's time wasted?
Nature of the beast. Pick a slow mech, if you're not positioning right you're dead. Quite often you're dead anyway. The important point is, the team won. If one guy dies for that, then his name wil be remembered for his sacrifice 😉, but I'd take those odds any day of the week Edit: and if you're the mech in question, and dead because a team maneuvered before toy eye ready, shut your bitching, because chances are you look like an idiot when the rest of the team wins
@@TTBprime i agree. Im not arguing with you there. He should have pressed the numpad 0 if he was in an ANH You just pointed out at 3 separate instances he's falling behind in your post match commentary but say nothing in game. I know you being a streamer means people don't want to watch you babysit a fellow charlie teammate but you are either severely misrepresenting the situation or lacked the situational awareness to ask him in chat or on mic to move up. What happened is a typical NASCAR around E6 D6 rock formation and he's salty he was the rear guard.
Ultimately it's a disagreement all I'm trying to point out is that this player was lagging behind before there was even an enemy to shoot at and one should just apply Occam's razor seeing as there was no communication.

Also, don't need a lock to fire them, so they're great for butchering those guys that overheat too!

As we were able to see here, the occasional Twi'lek dancer and Gamorrean guard leave your Rancor with an unsatiable hunger for new prey.

Clan LRM got no minRange
Thanks for showing the whole build!

ATMs also only have half the health of LRMs, so they are easier to shoot down.
Just put a similar build (smaller) on a Timberwolf prime. I love it. Thanks for the awesome content!!
"ATM, and ye shall prosper."
God, probably

Can't make the rancor work for me and i like the look of this build. Do you have an up to date build of this?
Why would it be out of date?
@@TTBprime I meant more like if updates or patches have changed it

do you have the build for this blood asp hero mech?
Only 2 back armor.... you live life on the edge. I wouldn't have less then 7 on a heavy since arty is every where.

Target spotted with reticule. Mind blown. How the fuck did I not know about this...
Happens to everyone. I still learn new things about the game regularly. Should I make more general gameplay guides?
Great matches
Thank you!
I was in second game ... saw you in there hoping to get a good battle with you but got pushed by a flamer Adder :*(
i like this build. i think it's best build. it's very good build, but i looked at the price and.....

Hey TTB. Is he Smoking in space or.... Venting Atmo and Fuel. ;)
Match #2: I never have a good game when Rapidarc is on my team.
Bad Karma?
When I see someone sitting back, hoping for last minute kills i report him because of nonparticipation.
The enemy team was so out of position all the time there.
Dayaaammm
Under 3 minutes on a hot map with no arty strikes. Holy heck, that can put out la dammoge
Mein Gott! Willst du mich verarschen???
JAWOHL! *clacks his heels*
