Did you spot the egg drones from the sonic movie in the level? I thought it was a nice touch because emerald city in sonic dash and forces speed battle (based on Seattle from the sonic movie 2) has the radical city theme playing when you play the level
Maybe the polygon count is too small. In my opinion, it looks a little off because the mountains and terrain barely have any texture ti them and look like they're made of clay. They should work more on those models and make them more detailed in my opinion. The city stage looks better but it needs better lighting in some places.
Can't disagree, even despite the fact that this game is unfinished and is only 0.38. First level is just a basic terrain with a green checkerboard texture. Resort island has hills in the distance that developers just abandoned for some reason. There was a Sonic fan who was complaining about quality of new Sonic games. And he pointed out that most of 3D fangames have undetailed levels. And the fact that their developers go for large scales just makes matters worse. Lack of detalisation is the exact problem here. People who recreated Sonic R could put some plants or just grass on hills in the distance. They could make objects blend with environment (like a bit of grass or dirt sticking out of springs/bridges/etc.). And i'm not even talking about Radical city.
