We admittedly love gin, but the offerings Jame Gin has put forth really pushes the envelope for us on what a gin can become. These spirits are a weaving of intricate flavors blanketing a damn solid base of an old favorite. Suffice to say there's a lot going on here. That may be a detriment for someone looking for a traditional gin, but we think that opens the door for folks who proudly proclaim they hate gin. In any case, the James Gin line will make you rethink the idea that gin is just a one note juniper tsunami. Cheers!

You can call us Taste Buds or the Two Guys behind the counter, it doesn't matter to us. We are two guys from Missouri doing a Craft Beer Review and a Whiskey Review (or Whisky Review depending where you are from) with a drive to always Try Something New. We won't drive you crazy with snobby tasting notes that no one else will understand, just a general idea of what the beer or food tastes like. We want YOU to join us in trying exciting new things to open our minds, and pallets, to something different. So join Chris Horn and Lyal Strickland as we foray into some suds and grains and stumble all over ourselves trying to sound smarter than they really are. Some of the things we love to try are Scotch, Bourbon, Rum, Tequila, wine, and craft beer of all kinds. We argue between Stouts and Porters, IPA and Sour, Farmhouse and Lager. I'm sure there isn't anything we won't disagree about except that we like to try new stuff.
If you have a favorite brewery or Distillery or anything else, be sure to send us a message so we can try it at Thosetastebudguys@gmail.com

I like the original Asian Parsnip. It’s what I’d share with a friend. Great plain over ice. Ramstud I didn’t like so much, I couldn’t find a good cocktail mix for it. It tastes interesting by itself but no other use. Although I did try hotdogs with mustard and it went well. Navy Strength is terrific in a cocktail due to is strength. And I haven’t had Drizzle yet.

@@tastebudguys sure. I find Asian Parsnips to be great anywhere regular gin is used. Ramstud, nothing yet. I literally ate a hotdog with mustard just to experience the flavor. They went well but no mixed drinks (I tried gin and tonic & Tom Colin’s and it didn’t go well). The mustard is mild, however it’s still mustard. Bitter and not sweet. Good luck with that one.
