I feel like im getting an advanced degree with these flowers! Not at all a fan of the eggworts, personally. I troweled up nearly everything to make merry go round plots for them, and a few smaller plots i left for color transfers of other flowers. At reset, i had white and sky eggs in nearly every empty space. Took forever to yank out the unneeded ones in the egg plots, but they also choked off many of the spaces i was trying to get color transfers in. For hundreds of fertilizers and diligent watering, i have 4 new colors and 2 speckled white ones and 2 speckled sky ones. WAY overboard on the quantities! I made and used 2100 fertilizers over the span of just 3 days. I coukd only do that because i was chained to my desk watching for emails from my student, regarding finals week. I wont have that kind of time again. Eggworts are definitely Meh IMHO! Thanks for clearing up so much of the misinformation and changes!
I am very confused too! I have now 4 or 5 new colors of eggworts but only the main ones in speckled. I am afraid I won’t get all the 27 in under one month. Like you said, so many new sky and white spawn in spots saved for crossbreed colors. That is so much back and forth of making fertilizer. Just a question. Do you end up making fertilizer out of the plucked eggworts? I have over 100 of the two main ones and I didn’t want to compost them at first. Because NOW we can’t make seeds out of them, that won’t mean that we won’t in the future. Especially since Chelsea hinted at something else coming. But also, I have many sprouts that I don’t already have space to plant. So maybe we don’t need the plucked flower? I guess I need validation that it’s ok to compost them 😅
@Fluffisle I'm only keeping 10 of each because they keep coming, for now. I'll keep at least 10 of each color I think. I'm composting all but 2 flowers of each new color. TODAY, despite so many eggs, I managed to get hibiscus in indigo, red and magenta, peach pen, Lilac and lime Tulia, and 3 new onbres. Oh. And yellow thistle and a trim blue marigold
@personanongrata9289 this is quite an achievement! And thank you, I’ll try to compost them now. We have a long weekend at at convention since yesterday so it will be harder to keep up. Buy I’ll try!
