So many good blocks! I really like the tuff :D That copper bulb is actually gonna be SO useful in redstone your not gonna believe it!
We're trying to reach 600,000 by the end of the year! Share this video and subscribe to help :D
And then there was silence
I noticed you didn’t mention anything about tuff in a stone cutter. Does it work in there like all other stone?
I think you should only be able to open them while crouching and axing the door, or red stone. That way it’s functional and decorative.
did mojang fix redstone blocks not stopping flow in hopper minecarts?
Also since two updates ago mojang made a bad bug hoppers are now smacking hopper minecarts. I am so close to having my item sorter working not just in legacy console edition but bedrock too when these fixes implemented.
one more question
Do copper bulb stop flow in hopper minecarts?
Does the brightness of the copper lamp affect the daylight sensors output?
Sea pickles are actually also a variable light source. They output more light in larger clumps
Candles as well
I'd like to say torches, but the only way to get different torch light levels is using redstone or soul torches, so it kinda doesn't count lol
At this point just add a whole new creative mode section for copper
So true
Me needing to create an entirely separate storage system for all the copper stuff 😅
@@michaelshaw2709 lmao my dream is to have a storage system for every item in the game
There is no reason to
I have never liked the copper.
Green is my favorite color.
The one block t-flipflop will be revolutionary especially on bedrock.
Redstone is about to become even more compact.
You need a comparator for it sadly which makes it 2x2. Still good but its not a single block.
Binary counter!
I can finally power my tileable auto-brewer with a button without a block switcher 😂
The grate is the best block hands down. If they allowed water bubble chutes to pass through it, that would be awesome, no more damage from magma blocks.
You said that the tuff was absolutely reasonable, but I hate to break this to you: the tuff brick texture seems to be upside down or misaligned. Try putting some down next to stone bricks and deepslate bricks. It's the most unsatisfying thing ever.
Yeah, its upsidedown
That’s kinda the point
That’s the point. It’s suppose to be differnt
They changed it not too long ago
1.21 is slowly turning into red stone update 2.0
The grates should be ignored by liquids and dropped items completely. Where they let water, lava, and items pass right through them. Players and mobs would collide with them as usual. Sounds neat to me :)
Imagine copper grate having togglable grate density though. To allow/deny items from passing through it. Or fluids as well, but that kinda can be easily done with pistons most of the time.
Not sure how useful it can be, but allowing for more customization is always a plus in my eyes.
Between crafter and copper bulb, seems like a smash hit update for redstoners. I also love chiseled tuff, reminds me of midna twilight princess
dont forget the tick command
Mojang definitely needs to fix the Copper Trap Door and Copper Door recipes to work with Copper Ingots instead of Copper Blocks, but I also agree that Mojang needs to fix the Trap Door recipe for all variants to give the player more Trap Doors for the cost.
facts!
Does the stone cutter reduce any of the new block recipes like with regular stone and copper items?
I think the whole recapie involving trapdoor and doors should be revamped in general but the recipes for copper should be more expensive with how common it is and how much you get, because a lot of people forget or don't even know but copperore gives twice as much raw material as iron, even without fortune and with fortune you can gel like 8 per ore and with how common copper is I lm not mad with hoe expensive the blocks are to craft
@@user-mf4uo9ox2y agreed on the copper recipe costing more due to higher availability. However, you're talking about a significant increase that's not proportional.
Wood takes 6 planks, which can come from 2 logs (with 2 plans leftover).
Iron takes 6 ingots which come directly from raw iron at approximately 2-6 ore
Cooper however takes 6 blocks (or 54 ingots) from raw copper, which would equate to 7 (at Fortune 3) to 14 (base) ore.
So copper while more abundant is proportionally out of sync with the others.
@@williamludwick77 I know that it's not proportionall but I dident day it had to stay that way all I said was that I'm not mad about it, I don't really care if it stay the same or it changes, I think it should change but it dosent need to
The copper doors and trap doors should also function as T flip-flops. I feel like that would add a lot of cool possibilities.
I think they will add that eventually because in the part where they showed the breeze in Minecraft live, the wind charge left the copper trapdoors open until the next attack
The bulb is already essentially an SR flip flop
@@Phoenix-ij7td Yeah but I think whats happening there is that the breeze acts like if a player were to interact with the trapdoor, leaving it closed or open, rather than actually outputting redstone.
@@user-tj2en6iy8r I know, thats why i think it would be cool for the rest to function the same
Have an idea to copper doors and trapdoors: the more it oxydizes, the harder it is to open and close! (Normal=open by hand, fully oxydized=stuck, inbetween - open by redstone)
Copper bulbs remind me of how magma blocks used to work when they were introduced. They held the highest light level they were exposed to until they were reloaded. Which was fun.
yeahh i miss that, we never got it on bedrock:(
The copper stuff will be perfect for my steampunk city im currently planning out. I will finally have a use for the large amount of unused copper i have
I wouldn't be surprised if the Door and Trapdoor recipes get re-balanced based on community feedback, but honestly... with Fortune III a single copper ore can drop up to 20 raw copper so getting the material needed for the doors and trapdoors is pretty easy.
Also I fully expect they'll add a Stonecutter recipe for the grates.
Yeah, copper is easy enough to get, but now I have a reason to actually hoard it lmao
Well the raw copper could be easy to get, you still need to smelt it all
@@paperbear03 Bamboo farms/kelp farms are easy to do, and with the crafter a kelp farm (hooked up to a smelter) can fuel itself
@@tiggyvolts9076 even a tree farm will get you more charcoal than you could ever possibly need
@@tiggyvolts9076 i mean the smelt time takes a while
7:15 it’s even more absurd because at a stone cutter you can get 8 copper slabs from one block which means 2 trap doors cost as much as 48 slabs
I think they should make the copper doors and trapdoors harder to open the more oxidized they get, like the clean ones you can open with your hand, the second stage you must click twice, 3 times for the third, the fourth must be opened with a redstone signal
Or maybe a random chance it won't open, higher chance the more oxidized it is?
@brandonmack111 ooh that sounds much better
I feel like the main excuse for copper recipes being so bad is because copper is super easy to get since you get like around 4+ raw from one ore block.
These different copper variations look amazing!
Great looking so far, it would be incredible if this is one of those updates that has half the features not announced until release.
Could the copper bulbs be used to make a simple binary counter? Maybe that would be useful for sequencing piston doors
Copper Bulbs being tiny T flip flops is a really cool twist. Hopefully the unavoidable lighting updates don't make them undesireable for lag-friendly builds. Maybe the fully oxidized copper bulbs can emit no light?
Just pit a torch on them it'll cancel out any light updates
I love how the chiseled tuff blocks looks like a gust of wind! Reminds me of the breeze!
While I’m glad there will be new uses for copper - since it is so common to find when miniing - I have been asking for cement stairs, slabs and fence posts since they added cement to the game. Especially for those of us who love to build modern contemporary houses and buildings these really need to added to the game. There has been a posted request for this in the forum for quite awhile.
I don't think solid colour walls and stairs look good
@@Yegor_MechanicNo block looks good if it's the only block you're using.
@@recycledwaste8737
I disagree. If you only use one block the build looks boring
@@Yegor_Mechanic That's what I'm saying. The concrete stairs would give more blocks to mix with the ones we have.
4:47 spawn anchors, and i guess sea pickles and candles have light variations as well...
It’s nice they gave tuff a lot more blocks!
its long overdue! :D How long until calcite blocks 👀
@silentwisperer you pulled the words out of my mouth!
They should make the copper doors have delay between opening depending on their oxidation
Silent do you have a storage system design for your nether upgrade for the guardian farm? Storage tech isn't my expertise
I love the new bat texture it’s so cute!
Thanks again Silent for another great video! Quick question. Are you going to be releasing that automatic cherry tree farm anytime soon, or is it too unreliable?
For a few updates magma blocks would emit whatever light level hit them was a pretty odd behavior glad to see it added back and be more reliable
We have yet to have a block we can "lava fill" other than cauldrons, but they simply hold it. Would be great to see the copper grates fill this void of capability.
Tuff is my favorite block to use. It looks good in the daylight. I just wish they kept the color/texture for stairs, walls, slabs as "1st" level modification then you could just put it back in the crafting table and get the new look. I wish they would do the same thing for Andesite. It changes so much after you "work it"
But, overall I'm happy about this update. It's about time Copper had more uses since there is so much of it.
2 copper trapdoors cost the same as 48* slabs, as you can use the stone cutter to make 4 cut copper for each copper block, and then double that in slabs
The copper doors should have it so that when powered by redstone it cannot be opened nor closed by players. Kind of like a redstone powered lock.
I am so excited for the tuff!!! Finally a use for this block!
I've heard someone suggest that grates should let water flow through them and items should fall through them.
I love the new blocks!
I wish the copper doors worked like iron doors. We already have a lot of varients of normal doors, but we still dont have any varients for iron doors.
People talk about the crafter revolutionizing redstone, it’s just a major qol upgrade. However, with how copper bulbs stay on with only one pulse, and comparators detect on or off with them, I think that will revolutionize redstone. (All of these are opinions and depend on whether or not this is how Mojang will finalize them)
Both are amazing
Mojang: Here are some really cool new blocks and several new revolutionary redstone features!
Silent: COOOOOPPERRRRRRRRR!!!!!!
Also Silent: BAAATTTSSSS!!!!!!!!!!
Which is especially funny seeming how Silent could probably design a copper farm effective enough to make it a throwaway block anyway!
for the copper bulb if the single decayed it would be very annoying cuz red stone contraptions would break overtime (unless you can honeycomb it)
yeah you can wax it to stop oxidization, just like all the other copper blocks:)
I really hope that they add more uses for andesite, diorite, and granite in the future.
Pb not because you have staiers slabs and walls.
Can you do the new copper blocks in the stone cutter? Or is it just exclusive to the java edition for the time being?
4:50
what about candles and sea pickles?
Redstoners have been waiting for these lamps for 12 long years
Copper trapdoors and doors should b crafted with copper ingots like done with iron door and trapdoor
Copper grates should act as both translucent and mob spawnable- it gives them a better more diverse use.
Also- you should be able to rub something like slime balls or mud on the copper to oxidize them. We're to that point where there needs to be a quicker way to oxidize them.
considering how plentiful copper is im glad to see more copper items around
I want an actual copper redstone block, one that has the functionality of a redstone block but togglable
basically a block with a lever in one, but the difference is that this one is movable in a flymachine and a lever isnt
Does the brightness of the copper lamp affect the daylight sensors output?
I’d like to ask but does the stacked raid farm still work
the grate should be able to have water pass through but not players or mobs, just liquids. that could be extremely useful.
In my opinion, I think the new bat model should just be a new bat variant. Like a code for randomizing which model a newly spawned bat should have sounds simple enough.
Maybe a name tag Easter egg?
A lot of David's really happy. Nice pix reference
:)
copper ore has a higger chance of dropping multiple pices of copper and is super easy to get in large amounts so the recepies for mos of these are good
and if is still a problem the stonecutter exist...
That must be an error, should be copper ingots.
Is there a feature update to upvote requesting more output from crafting doors and trap doors??? Would love to upvote that like cray-cray
I feel they should make the new copper materials use cut copper to mirror the wood recipes instead of full copper blocks
idk, for me recipes pretty fair, cuz there`s a lot of copper ore in caves + we`ll get freakin copper dungeon
I know its a lot,but really, you can get a pack of cooper lingot in half hour, the only thing is the fuel that will be needed for it
4:48 -The only variable loght source that my friends wont use as an excuse to “accidentally blow up my base*
Have you considered that copper grating might be Mojang's answer to our request for renewable class? I think it looks good, but if this is supposed to replace glass, I wish it were more transparent.
Copper bulbs being pushable by pistons upwards isn't a huge gain since cauldrons exist. But, imagine this: copper bulb into comparator into redstone torch into bulb into comparator into redstone torch... instant binary counter for as long as you want. Then use "and" gates to read this and reset when needed to count to any number.
So red stone computers get a bit better?
Are you able to use the stone cutter for any of the new blocks
I believe the polished copper blocks are made with the stonecutter
To be fair, one gets an absurd amount of copper when mining. I’ve been waiting for something that needs an absurd amount of copper, but trap doors wasn’t on my radar. 😂
These all look amazing!
A big off topic, but there is a way to solve the problem of slowed down of the crafting
Honestly, Smooth Tuff, Tuff Tiles, and Tuff Pillars should be added with all the other Tuff items just to complete the block family.
We need a New Creative Menu for Bedrock edition!
Amazing component! As someone who plays with really young kids, my only HUGE complaint about the copper lamp is that it won’t be available to Peaceful games at all because of the dependence on Blaze. 😢
you'll find them in the trial chambers still
The grate should have a feature where the more oxidized it is the more unstable it gets meaning it will break under your feet
That or make them get slippery as they oxidize. They could turn green and act like an ice block
I appreciate the pixlriffs reference!
the doors and trapdoors should be ingots like the iron counterparts
What if they make it so you can use the Stonecutter to get the different Copper blocks, exciting the Bulb?
Yaaasss this Tinker updat is gonna be so great!
well to be fair copper IS really abundant and easy get lots of sooooo
But i do agree that drapdoor crafting needs a revolution coz its soooo annoying to get lots of.
redstoners have been eating good these last few updates and so have builders i really hope they give some love to pvp
Can the tuff blocks be used on the mason workstation for more efficient crafting?
Yes
I'm gonna bet that mojang already did the bat retexture for a while now but decided to delay it because it didn't fit in until Halloween
At the 6-7 minute mark, is the full blocks and halfslabs completely hollow, while the trapdoor and door are the only copper blocks that are completely solid or something?
Tuff blocks FTW!
Copper bulbs are clearly mostly empty space inside (like a real bulb), so not surprising that you get so many from three blocks of copper. But the trap door and door recipes are still ridiculous. I hope oxidation doesn’t limit the light that passes through the grates because I’d want to use the oxidized ones as decorative cover for light sources without having to use more light sources for an area.
They could have made the copper stuffs require copper ingots, but since copper generates so much anyway I think it kinda balanced it out.
No one is talking about how funny this guy is. Love your sense of humor bro 😅
Seems like adding the new dungeon generation into the main minecraft game was partly an attempt to get crossover players between the 3D 3rd person side scroller of the same name and the main minecraft. Though they are clearly different in concept gameplay, I doubt it will actually accomplish that. Hardcore fans of MC will already have played both and will have decided which they like best or they will have decided they like both. But people who don't enjoy 3rd person side scrollers won't be swayed into a sandbox, or vice versa, simply because of this addition to the main game. I just hope this addition doesn't result in vocal minority coming over to the regular minecraft game that will ultimately result in a change of focus for future development.
Can you make a new auto melon farm please because most if not all your ones are outdated
Can zombies break copper doors in hard mode?
Copper bulbs require blaze rods?
My predication is that Mojang is going to do a small peacefull mode overhaul.
Like blazes spawning in peaceful, but not being hostile? Yeah that would be cool af
ye I'd like if they made the copper door and trapdoor to be like iron doors and agree with the copper bulb redstone levels with rust.
honestly i like the manual usage of copper doors/traps:)
I probably would prefer it to, specially for general use and decorating (the trapdoors are gona be great for flower bed holders and stuff) but just makes more sense to me to be like iron doors. definitely think they should change the crafting recipes to cut copper instead of the copper block to make them abit cheaper
3:33 "😤we don't have to worry about that in chad bedrock edition"
4:55
Pickles
Candles
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem but the most recent update I think it's 1.20.40 just broke overworld gold farms in bedrock I don't know about java
Pickles have variable light
3:40 are you forgetting about cauldrons?
If the Redstone gets weaker then it could really mess up large builds where there's long lines of Redstone
Candles and sea pickles can be seen as a variable light source. The light block doesn't count.
Does copper work with the stone cutter?
Mojang! Add also the copper armor and tools (The more oxidized it is, the less effective it is, but has more durability), copper button, plate (the more oxidized it's the longer button holds)
I’ve been waiting for years for copper armor and tools
New use for blazerod 🥳
