I need a motor to be able to rotate fairly accurately a swivel chair with a 200lbs person in it about it's axis. It needs to be able to do a 180° rotation within 3 seconds and this needs be repeatable ~twice per minute for eight hours! Would this motor be suitable for such a task?

I have used 23 on small machines 1.2 by 1.2 on 1605 ball screw and have had no problems on the lowest hold setting

The RS232 is to adjust parameters only... not needed in normal operation...

Someone machined it for me and I had to 3D print adapter to fit it on this diameter axle...
From where did you buy the gearbox?
It was gift actually but you can find similar on Aliexpress or ebay

You want precision and speed? Don't look at stepper motors, looks for real servomotors like AASD-15A...
