should i buy mac for programing i currently use hp pavilion ruzen 5 500u , is mac worth or shoul i go for windows with graphic card rtx 4050 or 3050 , i dont play games or use blender is mac work for 6-7 years

I have a few friends who are software engineers and they are using M1 Macbook air (8GB ram + 256GB HDD) for their work, coding, programming etc and it runs absolutely fine.
The only issue they have is when there multiple RAM-hungry tasks are running at the same time. For example, code Compiling + Zoom Video Call + Share screen....
My friends commented that Compiling + Zoom video calls are fine but if there is a need to share screen to show something, the M1 Macbook air with 8GB will start to lag a bit. According to them, the frequency to [code Compiling + Zoom Video Call + Share screen] is like just 1%.... 99% of the time its fine.
if you wanna be on the same side, you might wanna go for 16GB RAM + 512GB ram.
